Thank you for your timely response, NOT! My wife has already been in contact with you which your response was, "things happen! What do you want us to do". A simple apology was all that would have been needed, to acknowledge a horrible experience that was had with one of the worst salesman ever. The rest of your salesman at your dealership should be embarrassed to have him (BOB) represent them. He lost someone there a 52K sale. Yourself included Mr. Ell.

That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. I am very disappointed to read your comments. First of all, we do not finance vehicle loans. We submit loans to the banks on the client’s behalf and they intern give their approval based on (a) the clients ability to repay, (b) the age and type of the vehicle to be financed (c) the interest rate the client is eligible for. The down payment does not go to the dealership it goes to reducing the amount financed. This intern lowers the payment and the amount of interest the client pays to the bank. In your case, you had a maximum budget and based on the bank’s approval and the vehicle you choose a down payment was required to achieve that budget and meet the bank’s approval. You asked for your deposit back and we complied. We also offered to continue working with the banks to accommodate your driving needs and to meet your budget on a different vehicle and at no time did we treat you without respect. Galt Chrysler is committed to customer service excellence and it is important that we keep good relationships with all clients whether they purchase or not. We hope that you will reconsider your comments and amend the review as it doesn’t give future buyers a complete picture of all the circumstances involved in our dealings. Kind Regards, Mark Ell

Hello, I am quite aware that it was the bank that gives the approval rate, I have been doing research for months on this and you had explained this to me already when I was there. How was it that this was the ONLY dealership that I had trouble getting financing for what I wanted when most dealerships deal with the same financing company? According to Craig we only had 13000 to work with on a used Truck! I worked with a Dealer in Tilsionburg, a Dodge dealer and he said around the same thing but said around 20,000 , also got that from Cambridge KIA at around 25000, The dealer we finally went to found our problem and cared to fix it so we could get a new truck at a fair price for a year then refinance it, there was no condescension as I felt at your dealership because of our less then perfect credit, you didn't even attempt to ask for my info as I had no job but I told Craig that I had an auto loan pretty much paid off, it felt like your dealership didn't want our business because we wanted something specific but didn't have that perfect credit score to back it up! Also when I applied for pre approval at other dealerships they didn't ask for a deposit. I really wanted to buy locally but I don't know if it's because we have tried to purchase a truck/van through you before maybe that's why we weren't taken seriously which in my opinion is a joke. I also don"t know where you get you info from for vehicle shopping but the bureau will take into consideration you are looking to buy a vehicle and your credit score will drop only a few points if done within 15 days, they will not "shut" you down as Craig and yourself had told me point blank, Please don't Use that again for other customers as it is a blatant lie. Ram has already contacted me with their survey and I have told them why I didn't purchase my truck there, very honestly. If you want me to change my review maybe you should consider the fact that I am a well informed customer and not some idiot in need of a car, any car just for the sake of building credit. And the information you keep telling me I already know. We got a loan through TD no problem when someone took the time to care, to research, fix problems and try to make what we wanted happen. This was clearly not the case at your dealership and until you give me an honest reason as to why we were treated the way we were I am not going to change my review. People need to see how people like my spouse and I were treated, because I don't want someone like us walking in there and having the same thing happen to them when they could go somewhere else and be treated with respect. Ron was amazing though and I wish him well. So thanks for the letter I knew all of that already, we got the exact same truck we originally wanted at your dealership with a 14% interest rate through TD, with no hassle, no need for the dealership we went with to continue to work with the banks. Again, we relayed to you the bank approval we had... there is nothing for us to gain by asking for money down. we always try to get the best approval from the leanders and we take all customers seriouslly. We didn't do anything wrong except not secure suitable finance. We offered what we had and you declined. I fail to understand why you are so upset with us. OK, so you seriously don't understand why I am not satisfied? Because you lied to me first of all making it sound like I couldn't get anything anywhere, and didn't give a genuine effort or really a care to get our business, went to a DODGE/CHRYSLER/RAM/JEEP just like yours and it was a totally different answer and experience!!!!!! How is that Possible????? THAT IS WHY I AM UPSET WITH YOUR DEALERSHIP!!!!! There was no effort, not much respect especially now that you are asking me why I feel this way when I have explained it to you, in DETAIL!!!!! IT WAS THE SAME BANK!!!! So someone is not telling the truth and I doubt it is the dealership I bought my truck from!!!! Craig is your problem then because he said he couldn't obtain the new truck financing...... but another dealer of the SAME make could!!! Of course I would feel lied to!!!! How could I not?????? It was through TD the same bank you guys deal with!!! Craig didn't want to help really because if he really did he would have noticed that the bankruptcy was not correctly reported to the bureaus as the other financing person did, he would have also asked for my info to try to obtain maybe a lower interest rate as I have a paid off car loan, which I told him but he didn't seem to care. That is your answer you guys made it seem hard and hopeless like we were second rate when this was not totally the case!!! My review reflects that. No genuine business drive and no effort, that is how I saw it when I found out the truth. Sorry but if it were a private financing we had obtained i would not be so upset, but it was THE SAME BANK FOR THE EXACT SAME MODEL TRUCK!!!! Everyone I have talked to agrees with me I have every right to feel the way I do and if you want good reviews maybe your dealership should try harder and be more all around customer base driven, not..... `well we tried, but no dice`` approach. Or get a Finance person who actually wants to help people get what they want!!!! Either way people need to know this so if they don`t have perfect credit they wont go there, it seems you don`t want to deal with these customers anyway. Sincerely, R Veilleux

You response is appreciated, I assure you I am not a squeaky wheel. I'm a person who is very active in many aspects of the automotive industry. I was concerned that we received this treatment at a dealership representing a major brand. I'm content being told that our budget can't be accomedated. I'm also open to being incorrect, but to have my automotive knowledge challenged without any sort of civil discussion but instead an outright assault on it is offensive. If they would have been able to substantiate the claim that the car did not have a timing belt but a chain, the price and type of car may have suited our criteria or maybe we could have moved on to talk about the other cars you mentioned in the lower price bracket. Unfortunately the discussion did not and we left feeling discouraged and I felt personally insulted. I hope that you are able to address these concerns or maybe it was just one of those days.
