Service Manager (Dave) goes the extra mile to resolve issues I bought a Fiat 124 Spider at a Fiat/Chrysler dealer in Toronto and as Galt Chrysler, while not a Fiat dealer, is the owned by the same company, I we I bought a Fiat 124 Spider at a Fiat/Chrysler dealer in Toronto and as Galt Chrysler, while not a Fiat dealer, is the owned by the same company, I went there to have winter tires installed as I live in Kitchener. There were some issues that transpired that could not have been foreseen such as the tire pressure light not going off and an issue with one of the tires. Dave coordinated a time for me to bring the vehicle in and when it was determined one tire needed to be replaced immediately, Dave himself drove us home that evening as the shuttle drivers had left. As the tire pressure light continued to stay on after the tire was replaced, Dave spoke to their foreman to try and resolve the issue and they together checked with various sources. Dave made another appointment for me to come in which involved the foreman working on the car for most of the day to get to the bottom of it, which he did and fixed the issue. That day, as I had to be at work by 8am in Kitchener, Dave arranged for the shuttle driver to bring me in early and he was waiting for me at 7:30 am (they don't open until 8am) when I arrived. He also arranged for the driver to pick me up from work later in the afternoon which again went "above and beyond." Through this process, Dave never gave up, never got frustrated, was always a calm and reassuring influence and went the extra mile to resolve the issue. As my father always said, "it is not the place that makes the people, it is the people that make the place" and Galt Chrysler are truly fortunate to have a Service Mgr. such as Dave who makes you feel valued and cared for. It is not the issue you have that someone remembers when they have an issue but how it was fixed and how they make you feel that stays with you. Thanks to Dave and his commitment to customer service, my experience in this dealership has been truly positive. More

I made an appointment and commitment to go in reluctantly. You see my Van I purchased for 4 years loan payment just died at 3 years in 5 days previously. This left me with another year's payments and no vehicle to drive. Immediately felt I had been shafted from the Car Dealer that I purchased this van from and wasnt interested in doing this again. We are 10 days before Christmas, I am a single woman raising her 5 grandchildren. Thanks to the generosity of a family member I was using their vehicle to look for another purchase. I talked with Chris Hart and communicated all of above with him and he said come on in on Saturday and we'll talk some more. He had an option but most impressive is the upfront information, calculations, options, and final verification they respected my ultimate budget amount I had to stick to each month. I also was impressed with the warranty and insurance options available that were solid options in a positive way. I would certainly recommend Chris as a contact for all Who I know if looking to purchase a new vehicle in the future. Again as a Team Thank you ....Lynn Holleman More

Do Not Buy From Galt Chrysler. You've Been Warned. This is a bit of a long one but I encourage everyone to read to the end to know your rights. I purchased a 2017 RAM 1500 in June of this year. I pi This is a bit of a long one but I encourage everyone to read to the end to know your rights. I purchased a 2017 RAM 1500 in June of this year. I picked it up on a Saturday and was being towed back to the dealership on a flat bed on Tuesday afternoon. The transmission blew at 265 KM....TOTAL After being towed in and handing the key over to the service department I was told I would be called the next day or two with an explanation of what went wrong. In fairness they did give me a loaner car. By Thursday evening not a single person had contacted me. Friday morning I sent a less than complimentary email to Mark Ell who was listed as Vice President on their website. I then received a phone call several minutes later from another gentlemen from the service department. Again in fairness he was very apologetic about nobody contacting me and I was then told that they did not yet know what was wrong (I knew it was the transmission as it was pretty obvious) and that they were going to get back to me. I expressed that I wanted the truck replaced and not repaired as I knew it was the transmission. A few minutes after that I received a call from another guy who I again told I would not accept the truck repaired and wanted it replaced. I was told they would see what they could do to "get me out of this truck" that I had not even made a payment on yet other than the $21,000 I had put down at purchase. On Monday June 26th I dropped in to speak with Geoff MacVinnie the General Sales Manager. During that conversation I again expressed I wanted a new truck as the one they sold me was defective and he tip toed around the situation saying he would see what could be done as he had never seen this before. I asked him what had happened to my truck and he said the service department was closed. He then agreed to let me know the next day what the diagnostic read. The next day I received an email from Geoff at 2PM saying Dave Keffer from service would be contacting me. A few minutes later he called and told me the computer was showing something wrong in the transmission between 4th and 5th gear (just as I already suspected) but they would have to send it back to Chrysler engineering to take it apart and figure out exactly what was wrong. At 2:53 PM I emailed Geoff back to ask him when I would receive a new truck. I expressed that this was a bigger issue than they thought it was as it needed to go back to Chrysler engineering (for who knows how long?) to diagnose what had happened. I obviously did not want this particular truck back for obvious reasons as I had expressed many times. Geoff responded at 4:04PM with the following: we can facilitate the change of trucks, but there will be a cost involved, your vehicle would come in as a used vehicle which would have some depreciation since the ownership has changed and is now considered used. Taxes and costs have also been paid which can’t be got back. It is unfortunate that this happened, but our service team and Chrysler are doing what is necessary to get your vehicle back to from the factory condition. Up until this point I had been extremely patient through this process but this was the final straw. A vehicle with 265 TOTAL KM is not a used vehicle no matter what they try to say. I had it for 3 days total. I replied to Geoff stating this was completely unacceptable and would be placing a call to my lawyer. I advised Geoff that I would either see them in court or take them to arbitration with CAMVAP the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (whichever my lawyer recommended) as the vehicle was clearly defective and would qualify for arbitration. A funny thing happened after that. Geoff contacted me within a half hour and asked if I was available to come in as "Mark (magically) came up with a solution" on a truck just like mine. I agreed to come in and met with Trevor Reynolds who was a nice guy. I'm pretty sure Geoff did not want to face me which was fine by me as I didn't trust him at all. So all of a sudden I was getting the exact same truck in the same color, with the same features at zero cost to me. Funny how that works. The point of this long review is KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. Please be aware CAMVAP is there to protect consumers and it is free to them if their case qualifies to be heard. These guys tried to push me into paying more money to them. The moment I let it be known I understood my rights everything changed. I can only imagine how many other people they've done this to. Stay away from Galt Chrylser at all costs. There's a reason they have a Facebook group for people who have had a bad experience there. Just search Cambridge Dodge Lemon on Facebook. There are A LOT of members. Oh one last thing I almost forgot. Before I picked up the new truck they had to put the tonneau cover on it from the defective one. Unfortunately they were not able to find the key for the cover. I asked Jake the sales guy to just mail it to me. I was done there and never wanted to step foot inside there again. Over 4 months later, to the surprise of nobody that I tell this story to, I'm still waiting for that key. I'm guessing it's never showing up. More
