When I voiced my concern and surprise that my vehicle was diagnosed as needing a timing chain, with so little kilometers, to the service advisor; she said I have no recourse as I was over the hundred thousand kilometer warranty. She advised that I could contact Ford myself. The fact is I don't have time for a crusade right now. Under no circumstances should a timing chain fail at only 112,000 km. The fact that this estimate was padded with a wide variety of additional work related to supposed fluid leaks just doesn't pass my sniff test. The code was cleared at a cost of $ 165. I've been driving it for 100 km plus since and the engine light has not come back on. I will be taking my business elsewhere if and when the engine light does come back on as I am confident that any discussion with anybody at your dealership will result in no change to your initial answers to my basic concerns. I gave you a chance to do things right. In this economy one chance is quite often all you get. In my mind this is a clear attempt to pad this bill. As I said before, if the check engine light comes on and I get a second opinion that echoes your diagnosis perhaps I will reconsider. Dean 780-237-1965
