If your a woman, stay away! My wife has a 1998 Toyota 4Runner in excellent shape, but it was in need of some mechanical work as she was having some problems. I suggested that she take her vehicle into Downtown Toyota and have it looked at by their mechanic and service manager. Downtown Toyota ran a complete test and gave us a list of problems that needed addressing right away. I was taken back at the amount which was well over $7,000.00 in repairs. Downtown Toyota treats woman differently then men, woman they believe don't know a whole lot about their vehicles, and if you don't search around and get at least two other quotes, then you will be spending a lot of money at this dealership for absolutely no reason. Getting back to the list, the rack and pinion was listed as an issue, but when I asked my wife where the alignment cost was, or had the service manger told her that this was required after changing, she replied that she wasn't sure. My wife called the dealership and spoke with the service manager who told her that he forgot to add this, and yes it was an extra cost. Is this fellow knowledgeable about proper service advice or is he just taking advantage of woman. There list wasn't correct at all, why I know this is that we took the vehicle to Jacksons Toyota in Barrie, Ontario, and had their Tech take a look. He told us that the rack and pinion was working properly and didn't need replacing, he also stated that the valve cover gaskets were not leaking, nor was there any of the issues Downtown Toyota noted that were a problem. FINALLY! to get honest answers, one has to bring their vehicle north of Toronto. The total cost for a tune up, replacement of a transfer case gasket that was leaking oil, new front brakes, new parking brake installation, rear brake installation, and a full analysis of the vehicle was $1,500.00. I supplied the parking brake cable and the rear brake shoes just to be honest. So, ladies, bring your vehicle up north to an out of town dealership because Downtown Toyota will rip you off. More

Kentaro is a young guy and seems very dedicated to customer service. He was very thorough, respectful, and forthright. It was certainly one of the best sales experiences I've had over the past 40 years buying vehicles. I've been doing sales seminars for over 15 years and in my view Kentaro is off to a very good beginning with his career...and I told him so. For the most part the service department was good, but they did forget to change out a wiper blade and the replacement antennae was late coming in. These are minor issues and are the only reason why I did not give them a '5'. More

I worked with kentato and he was very helpful and manager I spoke to both Kentaro and managers at different times and they were very helpful. Kentaro really would make a great a great manager and I like the trained managers. I was nervous and they were patient. They are also very dog friendly, a great sign of goodness. He kept me up to date on the progress of the repairs. All the repair work was properly completed and in a reasonable amount of time. Great combo - Toyota on Front & Loyalty Exchange Program I received the Toyota Loyalty Exchange letter in the mail and as I had been thinking about getting a newer vehicle, the timing seemed right. While re I received the Toyota Loyalty Exchange letter in the mail and as I had been thinking about getting a newer vehicle, the timing seemed right. While reviewing information online, I opted to chat with a rep who gave me some additional information and that connected me with Ken (Kentaro). We agreed to meet so he could have my car appraised. After I brought my car in, I was given a good price for my vehicle and discussed purchasing a used Venza. Fortunately, they had a black demonstrator available with very low mileage. After my husband and I met with Ken and his supervisor, Kal (Khalid), we came to an agreement on price and within days, was happy to be driving a wonderful vehicle. Thank you to Ken and Kal for making this such an easy and quick process. More
