She is by far the greatest person I've ever had the pleasure to work with. She is genuinely kind and good natured. It's nice to feel like your buying something from a friend and not someone who is just trying to push any product on you. Every question or concern I had was answered promptly regardless of if she was working or not (AMAZING!!) She was endlessly helpful come time to pick up the car by going through all the key features of the vehicle and even dog eared all the important pages in the manual. The entire process from start to finish went perfectly. I give you every star in the universe Melissa. More

Melissa was very patience to answer every question from safety features to trim, year of make, choice of colour and even financing! Melissa was not only knowledgeable about the car we were interested, but was very thoughtful to advise with regard to what options we have based on our tight budget and worked out a payment plan that suited our financial limitation! We appreciated Melissa for providing information about possible deal and rebate that could bring our cost down! Melissa was particularly helpful to catch mistake in our car's insurance policy to correct the wrong VIN number so that we could pick up our car without any delay. We were sorry that due to our tight finance that we need to cancel some options that we agreed on, and Melissa had always shown her care for our need by willingly making extra effort in doing all the paper work to reflect that change. Melissa was professional in going through all necessary things that we need to know on our car's delivery date, and knowing that every new owner will be overwhelmed by tons of information that we need to know in order to operate the car in a safe manner, she would thoughtfully mark down which pages and information that we need to go through first to get ourselves familiar with the car! We were very thankful for her customer care even post sale, she continues to promptly answer our emails and offer help whenever we ask of her, and made an extra effort to provide paper work to help us claim our rebate! We must gratefully express our deep thanks to Melissa who go beyond her professional standard to meet our need in a personal and caring way! Thank you for your good work! Appreciated! More

A Very Disappointing Experience! I visted this dealership earlier today with an intent to purchase a Subaru Outback. I had called earlier in the day to check if a particulr sales repr I visted this dealership earlier today with an intent to purchase a Subaru Outback. I had called earlier in the day to check if a particulr sales representative was working as I had accompanied my daughter to the dealership to purchase her Impreza less than a year ago and had dealt with the same representative. I had asked for his "best deal" for 2 options but when I asked for a third, I was very rudely told to "make up my mind" before he will give me a number. I explained to him that he is limiting my options and how could I possibly make a decision if I do not know what I may be paying. I have not encountered such arrogance and I left saying I will take my business elsewhere. If I had not owned 2 Subarus previously and belive that it is a good make, this experience would have put me off Subaru vehicles completely. More
No pressure, great service and honest advice I stopped by to see a used Crosstrek I was looking for. I went to other Subaru dealers, but everything was about "buy it"... At Downtown Subaru we met I stopped by to see a used Crosstrek I was looking for. I went to other Subaru dealers, but everything was about "buy it"... At Downtown Subaru we met James who was very patience with us answering all our questions and helping the buying experience to be smooth and enjoyable. Recommending the dealership is dependent on First Subaru['13 Forester],and it's from this dealer.The ownership experience over the 3 years of ownership hasn't been positive.Any Subaru,or dealer First Subaru['13 Forester],and it's from this dealer.The ownership experience over the 3 years of ownership hasn't been positive.Any Subaru,or dealership recommendations to others is contingent on future experiences,beyond the first 3 years.I have traditionally owned European cars,and decided to try a Subaru given most owners I've known really LIKE theirs.Especially when a university friend who lived in a snow belt got us through snow white out road trips in Vermont,Quebec...with their late 1990 - 2000 Outback. My experience has made me question the late model Forester's quality given I had to replace its infotainment unit within months of ownership.Luckily I used it extensively so I experienced the issues early,or it would be an expensive fix beyond warranty.Within two years,I received the critical dash light warnings where the owner's manual suggests you should be towed.To their credit,Downtown was quick to decisively resolve one within 30 minutes.Whereas another dealer was waaay off when I called to ask for help since I was going to be in their area;scary what they proposed in comparison. As for the other warning light,it took almost a year to resolve,where Subaru Canada was useless,didn't even help Downtown to find a resolution.I note the positive Conway reviews,I disagree with his professionalism in dealing with my problems because he was abrasive at best.Have heard manufacturers place a "warranty dollar" on cars,where assistance can dwindle as this threshold is near. My thought as a consumer,manufacturers should build something more reliable than one day over 3 years on basic components for a product that ranks as the second most expensive item for a consumer to purchase. Over the summer,I had rear brakes replaced,prematurely in my view since the barely 3 year old car only had about 38000 km.,but Downtown did a great job. In comparison,owners [U.S.] appear to have about 40000 mile/ 70811km brake life. The brake replacement speaks to the [diminished] Subaru quality on late model cars.Downtown's pricing was fair using OEM parts,despite a general dealer reputation for costing more. Downtown has been around a long time,hopefully the patriarch will remind his offspring,or family who run the business to be remember why they've lasted over 35 years. More
