They put the STEAL in STEALERSHIP! Stay far far away My first interaction with this dealership was in the summer of 2013. I took my 2011 Matrix in for service. I have never received such INCREDIBLY RUDE My first interaction with this dealership was in the summer of 2013. I took my 2011 Matrix in for service. I have never received such INCREDIBLY RUDE service from any business in my life. They clearer don't care about retaining customers in their service department at all. Since this negative interaction I have been taking my vehicle for service at the Scarborough Toyota location on Eglinton - I highly recommend that you do the same. The service at Scarborough Toyota has always been pleasant, polite, helpful and thorough. Night and day with this dealership. Despite my negative interaction with the service department, I took my chances with their sales department. They wasted 2 hours of my time and apparently were on the opinion that I had recently fallen off the turnip truck. I received a call from one of their sales representatives advising me that they were looking to buy used Matrix 2011 models. They asked if I would be interested in selling and upgrading. I still have a bit to pay on my existing financing plan, but I decided to see what they were offering and consider an early upgrade. Before going in to meet with the sales representative, I looked up the resale value of my car and found that it was between $12000 and $14000. My 2011 Matrix has all the major upgrades (bluetooth, moonroof, USB, A/C, power locks, power windows, sports model with all black interior, etc), automatic transmission, and about 86000km on it. This dealership is selling similar vehicles to mine (but without the upgraded features) for $13800. When I went in to meet with them they advised me that the trade in value of my car was $6200... so um, half of what it's actually worth. My brother just got $6100 trade in value for a 5 year old Corolla with 130000km on it, no extra features, base model, manual transmission from the Toyota dealership in London, ON. So in short, they thought they'd completely rip me off. They then offered NO discount or incentive for me to buy a new vehicle. So not only did they want to buy my vehicle off me for half of what it's worth, but they also wanted to sell me a vehicle at full price with no incentives to buy. DID I MENTION THEY CONTACTED ME! I DID NOT CONTACT THEM! Here's how respectable car dealerships do this type of a deal: They give their customer close to the resale value of the used vehicle as trade-in value in order to give the customer incentive to buy a brand new vehicle, which is where the dealership makes their profit. The intent is not to make money off the sale of the used vehicle, but rather to make money off the sale of the new vehicle and break even on the resale of the used vehicle. Not with this STEALERSHIP. They want to double dip their profits and screw over their customers. I don't for the life of me understand why they would think I would have any interest in such a deal. Apparently they think that I'm a moron. In addition, they held the keys to my vehicle hostage during this entire exchange. I advised that I was not interested in the "deal" that they were making. They sent a manager down to try to hard sell me. I basically had to demand to get my keys back. They wasted 2 hours of my time. Now they continue to try to follow up and keep calling and emailing me. In exchange for wasting 2 hours of my time, I promise that I will never spend so much as a penny at your STEALERSHIP again. Honestly, if my car broke down in front of their service centre I would have it towed to another service centre because this business has so thoroughly driven away my business. It's a good thing I've had nothing but positive experiences with Scarborough Toyota and Toyota Town in London, ON, because otherwise this dealership might have put me off of Toyota as a brand. If I could have given zero stars on this rating I would have. The best advice I can give you is to stay far far away, I know I will. More
poor repair service! ! I have a problem with my brakes and air conditioner. Corolla not even a year, just 6 months at 10,000km...took it into don valley Toyota for warranty repair...waited a whole day from 10am-5pm...nothing was done, only paper work. Test drove the car with the manager and as he test drove the brake issue came up....but then he denied it by saying un even road..then passed the issue to his assistant manager Ian, who didn't know much about cars and was not helping at all. Then billy another manager who's keep on putting acts and seem friendly but not helping, only try to reason with no reason. ..they just don't want to fix the problem and say nothing wrong with the brakes.finally that day wasted nothing was done. Booked another appt., cause they said need to submit paper work. They are so irresponsible and very careless cause they said warranty issues, they don't make money. Although i book one week in advance they didn't bother ordering parts for the defective air conditioner. So i had to leave the car there for a day and didn't give me a loaner for their incompetence. Still they won'tlook into my brakes...after begging them cause it's not safe then they did some cleaning to the brakes...but how does cleaning help the issue??finally another manager called Marlin was supposed to look into the vehicle but he also plays tag...a brand new car now like trash taken apart and alignment not straight and drives unsafe...Toyota really don't care about their products and no customer service. It's a very horrible experience! ! They don't have professional to fix the problem , they will only make your car worst and worst....so sad got a lemon!! More

Today I just found they have made waiting for the shuttle bus, that basic service as waking in the maze. that can be a great job from some perspective -- at least less people will ask for that, if not the first time, but at least second. PS. If some men/women spent less time on "flirting" (sorry, I mean talking in a special way), then maybe they can get things done at least not too worse? sorry guys, I won't bother next time (if there is). PLEASE READ AND SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! ***BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME GIVING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THIS DEALERSHIP PLEASE READ THIS POST*** I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS if I could! Do not think ***BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME GIVING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO THIS DEALERSHIP PLEASE READ THIS POST*** I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS if I could! Do not think for one second that they built their cathedral of a dealership by giving you a fair deal or caring in the slightest about your best interest. Here’s why… I came into the dealership serious enough to give them separate days of my time and provide a signature with a credit card for my initial offer on trading in and financing a new vehicle. Upon agreeing to my initial offer in writing, the Assistant New Vehicles Sales Manager IAN FERNANDES attempted to hide an extra $10,000 in his response which was simply "Thank You Deal Ok $455 84 Months $0 Down :)." Yes he even put a smiley face...how professional. The sales rep presented Ian’s offer stating that he had agreed to all of the terms of my offer but simply changed the monthly payment amount. Upon confirmation from the sales rep, I was led to believe that the terms that I submitted to Ian were agreed upon -- This meant that my trade would be valued at $7500 before taxes and all other conditions of my offer were as he put it "Ok" less his $455 monthly payment tweak. Instead, this is where you could say things went south, FAST! After nearly 4 hours and paying for the dealerships terrible cafeteria food, I learned that even though Ian wrote "Deal Ok" and the sales rep stated that he had agreed to my initial offer, in actuality he used tricky language in his response and created an entirely different offer altogether! Car salesmen…go figure. It was ONLY through my own due diligence and education in mathematics that I was able to figure out that Ian only gave $3000 for my trade and hid a $10,000 increase to my initial offer in the "$455" that he conveniently added to his "Deal Ok" response. This poor excuse for an employee, let alone a sales manager, assumed that the average consumer would not realize what he had done with the wording and presentation of his response to my initial offer. He thought he could make me believe that he agreed to my initial offer and that I would not investigate the higher monthly payment amount. Well obviously he assumed wrong! This was an absolute first in my history of dealing with dealerships and an extremely backwards business practice. The worst of it is that Ian could have rectified the situation by providing me an equally clear counter offer to my straightforward initial offer but that unfortunately culminated. He was the very opposite of transparent throughout the entire negotiation process. To top it all off, he NEVER apologized and even attempted to avoid me when I spotted him on the sales floor. Please know that IAN FERNANDES completely broke any trust that I had in this dealership and in Toyota as a brand. My family, friends and clients will no longer deal with this dealership and I suggest very strongly that whomever reads this post do the same. I will be filing a formal complaint with Toyota Corporate and once again I STRONGLY URGE USING EXTREME CAUTION IF OR WHEN DEALING WITH IAN FERNANDES OR A DEALERSHIP THAT WOULD USE THESE TYPES OF INSULTING TACTICS ON POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS! ***CAVEAT EMPTOR*** More

I dropped in for service yesterday about 3 pm, they took my key, left me a slip, I've waited until late 6 pm then popped to ask the status, and they did not even know where my car was. I could understand it could be a missing out conversation with the service department, but still, not acceptable, staff see you through, you are like invisible at all time. Just insis Emailed a question on a vehicle I was wanting to buy. Just a simple question about trim package or model. They wouldn't answer my question! Just insisted on getting my personal information before they could answer. Amazing! I'm talking about a question about the model - nothing else. Not even price. I was ready to buy it but wouldn't touch it now. After I told them I wasn't giving them my information online they just didn't bother to respond to me at all. Wow! Imagine how they'd be when you go in to buy? In my mind that is not trustworthy.
