Very poor customer service from Ray and Bob Tasikas The only good customer service I got in my entire experience with Don Valley North Toyota were the people on the phones making an appointment with me. The only good customer service I got in my entire experience with Don Valley North Toyota were the people on the phones making an appointment with me. Ray was completely useless in servicing my Toyota Avalon and Bob Tasikas (manager) was arrogant and impatient with me and my wife. I can't believe Bob can call himself the manager of service when he's providing the worst service her. Not a leader, and definitely not manager material. I will not go back to Don Valley because of him. More
Still Have not receive Refund on Deposit after 8 weeks!! Leased a Yaris in 2010, bring my car back on March 11, 2014 to renew my lease for a brand new Prius C. after negotiation we agree on a lease price a Leased a Yaris in 2010, bring my car back on March 11, 2014 to renew my lease for a brand new Prius C. after negotiation we agree on a lease price and the Sales asks me for a deposit, I gave him $500 cash and ask what if my credit application is declined? he said the money will be refund. I then went upstairs to see the financing manager and get paperwork done. about 3-4 days later the Sales called me and tell me the credit application is declined. I said "Alright, then give me my deposit back" He said since I paid in cash, they will need to cut me a cheque and put in mail, he will process the request and I should get a cheque in 2 weeks. No problem. I waited two weeks, nothing in mail. I called him after 2 weeks told him I have not yet receive any cheque, he said I should wait a bit longer and he will once again talk to the financing manager and request again. Two weeks after, still nothing, I called again, he told me to call the financing manager directly, So I did, left a voice mail, no reply. Another week past, I call their reception and their reception said that financing manager is on vacation and won't be back till May 6, so I ask to talk to somebody else during his absence, they transfer me to another financing manager and I explain the situation. He said he will email accounting department to trace the refund cheque. I also called the sales again and left voice mail, No reply ever since. call back a few days later, no answer. Sent an email to the sales person and financing manager, No reply. Finally I called and ask to speak with their accounting department, left a message, then someone from accounting dept called back an hour later, apologize to me, people in their dept have been taking vacation, and said will put in a rush cheque request on the same day and will call me as soon as the cheque is signed by their manager (so after 7 weeks of calling and waiting nothing has been done till I call??) Another week passed, call their accounting department for a follow up and how long does it take for a manager to put a signature on a cheque? talked to their accounting dept, the girl at accounting dept over the phone took my name, phone # and deal and I ask them to call me back, no one calls back. Today (May 14), I call them again, tell the accounting dept the same story over again, and she said the account payable is having a day off. left my name and phone # again. still no answer and no reply. Sick and tired of this wait game and same excuse of "vacation / day off" . went online and get a phone # of OMVIC and file a official compliant. Ironically, this dealership has declined my credit application on March 11, but Toyota financing sent me a Pre-Approved letter on April 25 for a car. More
I wish I had read the bad reviews before I wasted my time at Don Valley North. After a lot of negotiating with the salesman, Mr. Chan (Sales Manager) put high-pressure sales tactics on me, talking down to m at Don Valley North. After a lot of negotiating with the salesman, Mr. Chan (Sales Manager) put high-pressure sales tactics on me, talking down to me like I was an idiot for not buying his upsells, then went back on the deal we had already agreed to. After explaining problem to Mr Ray Dhanji and my sales manager , Ray promptly put his hand up in my face (shut up) while I was trying to explain to him and my sales manager the issue. Ray Dhanji was w manager , Ray promptly put his hand up in my face (shut up) while I was trying to explain to him and my sales manager the issue. Ray Dhanji was wrong in his diagnosis , I was right , and here I sit with an electronic key that does not start my 4Runner. They even wanted to charge me over $300 for a new key , when it never worked from day one. Said to me Extended Warranty does not cover lost keys. "What? It's not lost its in your hand " Ray responds " that's the same as not working " What an idiot he made himself out to be, turns out he really is in a position he knows nothing of. Customer Service. I told him a dozen times it's the other key. So they finally sucked up cost of key they replaced, as I produced an email from the first week I had my truck, I had e mailed my sales manager Peter Themelkos about one of the keys not working. So the key they replaced was my working key ,they gave me back my malfunctioning key and sent me away. I tried to explain to Ray and my Sales manager Peter ,that it was the other key that has the problem. That's when Ray threw up his hand in my face. I went and sat down to wait for them to return my truck the SAME WAY I TOOK IT IN ! 2 afternoons wasted because I had to take truck back once parts received new key. Well they now have a 199 km tow to come get my truck! I do not recommend this dealership for service. My sales experience was great though. In the end though it's about getting your money , not giving you service. In the time since I wrote the above review, I've had a phone conversation with the service manager. I've been told they will rectify the problem for me. I hope he's right More
I bought a new 2012 Toyota Yaris and after only using it a few months the HVAC started to smell when turning on the Air Conditioner. I booked an appointment because I knew this location had better facilitie a few months the HVAC started to smell when turning on the Air Conditioner. I booked an appointment because I knew this location had better facilities than some of the other Toyota Dealerships in my are so I went there. Poor people were sitting and waiting in very uncomfortable seating for hours. I saw Paul Tetreault who is a Service Advisor/Assistant Manager? First off he kept calling me Mrs when I told him 3 times I'm a Miss/Ms and NOT married, but that wasn't the problem. Neither was his smug sarcastic and unhelpful attitude. I had an appointment yet he told me I had to wait at least 2 hours to have my car seen (really?) and to leave my car for the whole day (it was raining out, so I said that's weird because I have an appointment, so that would mean I would get to be seen at that time as that is what appointments are for). I said I have a bad smell coming out of my vents, he said he had to take my BRAND NEW car apart to see what's going on. I told him I just wanted them to check the cabin air filter for now. He said I have to leave the car and to expect that every time I come there, with a wry smile again. He was not only full of attitude and not professional but very unhelpful and very rude. I won't go there again. BTW their "updated facilities" that are supposed to be top of the line do not include comfort or even a TV for the poor people that have to wait. There is no real "waiting room" just the "Service Area". Place is not worth driving to so spare yourself the gas. I have also had one friend of mine try to buy a used car there and not one but 2 service people tried to sell her a car they couldn't sell because it was driven by the dealership and each of them try to play it off that it was gently used by one driver. It took me TWO HOURS of wait time just for the dealership mechanics to look at my car and put the spare on. They didn't have a new tire in stock (seriously - for a 2012 Toyota Corolla??) and had to order it. The next day I had to come in again to have the spare changed to the new tire. This time, it took me ONE HOUR FORTY MINUTES wait time for that to be done. Basically, two of my evenings were killed, as by the time I got home after spending all that time at the dealership after work, there was no time to do anything else. Total price was over $200. In response to my complaints to the staff for the long wait time, their response was "You are not the only one here". Well, maybe you should hire more mechanics, being the biggest Toyota dealership in Ontario? More
