February 27, 2018 Shady Deal My wife and I completed the trade in and purchase of two vehicles on Monday evening following a little over a week of negotiations. We were repeat cus My wife and I completed the trade in and purchase of two vehicles on Monday evening following a little over a week of negotiations. We were repeat customers having purchased my wife's 2014 Jeep from Big 4 several years ago. After this experience we most definitely will NOT return to this dealership again as they are completely untrustworthy and do NOT live up to their word. In fact I have spent the last two days kicking myself for not standing up and walking out on the deal. I was dealing with Johan who finally came to an agreement with me and we shook hands on the deal he proposed. Never once in any of our conversations did Johan tell me that there was going to be money out of my pocket involved in the deal. In fact I remember saying to him "this is the biweekly payment we agree on, my vehicles for your vehicles, nothing else all in correct?" Johan agreed that was the deal. When it came time to do the paperwork the finance person looks across the desk as my wife had the pen in her hand, and asks how we want to settle the outstanding balance of nearly $1000? Do we want to pay cash, credit card or roll it into the financing? I was instantly confused as at no point had anyone mentioned a down payment. I ended up rolling it into the financing but honestly I should have simply walked out. When I confronted Johan about the issue afterward he sure played the part of being concerned very well. He said he would look into it and call me the next day to discuss it but that was 2 days ago. If you are determined to shop here I would simply advise that you need to be very careful with the numbers. They are definitely snakes and a handshake from them is obviously worthless. I'll never forget the casual way the finance person said "oh you can just put it on your credit card" as if that amount of money is just an afterthought to most people. We love our new vehicles, but it's going to be a long time before the bad taste left from their shady actions goes away. This is the fourth Dodge Ram that I've owned and I'll honestly tell you that if Big 4 was the last Dodge dealership on earth I'd purchase another brand before I'd buy from them again. Edit: Wednesday March 1, 2018. My wife called Sirius XM radio today to make changes to her account in relation to her new van. She told the rep at Sirius that we weren't getting one year free, because the van was used as a demo vehicle we were told by the dealership that we only get 3 months. The rep at Sirius said that as long as the van wasn't owned by an individual before us then we should get one year free. She said that the promo is for customers not for dealerships to use for themselves. Once again just shows you how shady Big 4 is in their business. Buyer beware of this place!!!!! More
