BEST DEALER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE ! I RECENTLY WENT IN TO LOOK AT THE THE POSSIBILITY OF PURCHASING A NEW SUBARU. MET WITH KEVIN FLETCHER, AND FELT VERY MUCH AT EASE AND COMFORTABLE ( NO I RECENTLY WENT IN TO LOOK AT THE THE POSSIBILITY OF PURCHASING A NEW SUBARU. MET WITH KEVIN FLETCHER, AND FELT VERY MUCH AT EASE AND COMFORTABLE ( NOT USUSAL CAR EXPERIENCE) HE WAS INFORMATIVE, AND VERY HELPFUL, NOT PUSHY. BUDGET DID NOT ALLOW FOR NEW PURCHASE, BUT KEVIN DID SUCH A GREAT JOB INFORMING ME AND EDUCATING ME ABOUT SUBARU, I WAS SO IMPRESSED I DECIDED I WOULD BUY A USED ONE, WHICH I DID PRIVATELY. AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A WEEK, I DISCOVERED SERIOUS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND BRAKE ISUUES. I WAS SO UPSET, I FIGURED THE ONLY LEMON SUBARU MADE, I GOT. I TOOK THE OUTBACK TO BARRIE SUBARU SERVICE DEPT AND MET SARAH LAMBERET ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER. THIS WAS A HOLIDAY LONG WEEKEND SATURDAY, AND EVEN THOUGH I HAD NO APPOINTMENT AND THEY WERE ON SUMMER WEEKEND STAFF, THEY STILL MADE TIME FOR ME. SARAH INFORMED ME IT COULD BE TRANSMISSION ISSUES, AND WOULD HAVE TO GET IT DIAGNOSED BY SUBARU CANADA. SHE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO CHECK IF SUBARU CANADA MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP IN AN YWAY. TO MY AMAZEMENT AND SURPRISE, SUBARU CANADA CAME BACK, AS A GOOD WILL GESTURE, AND FIXED THE TRANSMITION ISSUE, AT THEIR EXPENSE.....I WAS BLOWN AWAY, AS THE CAR IS 7 YEARS OLD AND HAS 200 KM THANK YOU SARAH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CHECK AND SAVING ME LITERALLY THOUSANDS. SUBARU DID NOT HAVE TO DO THIS, I DID NOT PURCHASE THE CAR FROM THEM ,YET THEY DID. NEEDLES TO SAY I AM A BARRIE SUBARU SUPPORTER FOR LIFE...I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN TREATED SO WELL BY A DEALER. Friendly no high pressure sales I contacted this dealership to see if they had a model in stock that I could look at. Paul Santaera wrote back saying they did and to come in to look I contacted this dealership to see if they had a model in stock that I could look at. Paul Santaera wrote back saying they did and to come in to look at it. I looked at the model that I was interested in and discovered that it did not meet my needs. I noticed another model that I found was very interesting and met my needs. This all happened while Paul was with clients but as soon as he was free he came over to talk. He explained all of the features of the vehicle and at no time did he pressure me into buying the vehicle. The most important thing was that he listened to me and what I wanted to accomplish (reducing from 2 cars - summer car and winter car) to one. He said that he would be willing to take my 2 cars as trade in and invited me to find out what they were worth even though I was not there to purchase a car that day. Bottom line, he treated me not as a person to make money on but like someone who needed assistance in making an informed decision. At no time did he ever pressure me into purchasing but just to give me information. Best service I have received in the last 43 years of dealing with a car sales person. I ended up purchasing the vehicle from him and know that anytime I am in the dealership I will be greeted by him as a friend not a "cash machine" like most dealerships. More
