I hope BARRIE SUBARU is not FRAUDULENT, but their actions seem NEGLIGENT at best and NEFARIOUS at WORST. This dealership will be nice to you when taking your money, but will not be there for you for after sales. I purchased an outback from here end of February and it was all smiles and handshakes. I even bought the extended warranty. I buy cars often. I purchased this certified used vehicle from a Subaru dealership because of their 150 point inspection. I trusted this process. After 8 weeks of owning the car, there was the first hot day and I turned on the air conditioner, it did not work. I called the barrie dealer and told them it was not functioning, and they wanted me to take it up to their dealership for diagnosis. Well, my job is over an hour away from Barrie so took it to the closest dealer from me which was 5 minutes away. To me, Subaru is Subaru, I believed it to be a network of dealers that could be used interchangeably. They diagnosed it at a Mississauga dealer and found a hole in the air conditioning condenser. I called Barrie Subaru about this and the used car manager(I believe it was Luke), said that it must have been me that caused the damage(in 8 weeks of ownership?!) and the best they can do is install aftermarket parts to save me some money as it’s not covered under warranty. A Subaru dealership telling me this?! To buy non original parts that can’t be trusted?? Crazy. I spoke to a few more people there and they have all washed their hands of it. No admission of any fault on their end. No possibility that their service people overlooked a faulty air conditioner. “They inspected it”….of course. They just pinned it on me , the customer. The person that two months earlier spent over $50,000 with them. I must have done it they said, in the 8 weeks i owned the car. Unbelievable. So now I am out another $1500 for a repair after 2 months of ownership, and got basically thrown out the door. It’s amazing how they are not nearly as nice now. I CANNOT recommend BARRIE SUBARU, this is a big STAY AWAY from me, and because they are part of the WEINS auto group, I would highly suggest staying away from ANY Weins dealership. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Go to Honda or Mazda, where you feel like a cherished customer. Never again will I buy a Subaru after my experience. I would rather hand the car back to them. Nice experience to walk away with. On a further note, I believe the placement of the air conditioner condenser on these newer outbacks is a major design flaw as it is totally exposed. It is a HUGE ISSUE. Search it on google. Everyone at the dealership scratches their head and seemingly pretends it’s the first time they’ve seen this problem. It’s comical to listen to them. All new Subaru models are prone to expensive condenser repairs from rocks/debris. Look at attached. This was after repair, but you can easily see the problem…and how exposed this area is. More
I went to this dealership to look at a 2017 Ram they had for sale and was told that there was no such vehicle for sale here. I sent numerous emails asking them to remove the ad if the truck is not for sale there but no reply. shame on you Barrie Subaru. Very unprofessional conduct. I will share my experience . My 81 year old mother had an oil change done at this dealership and the next day when she drove the car it erupted into flames. Initially the dealership was good but since then they have given us the si dealership and the next day when she drove the car it erupted into flames. Initially the dealership was good but since then they have given us the silent treatment. I have left messages with the service manager and GM and all have gone unanswered. They would not communicate with our insurance adjuster and they maintained possession of the car. She has been a loyal customer for 8 years and this is how they treated her. I would not recommend this dealership or certainly not their service department to anyone. More

Well I will keep it simple. Be VERY CAREFUL buying/dealing from these bandits . There is no after sale support . I made the mistake of accepting the vehicle dirty . I wrote a review as I was not pleased to say the least only to have the SALES MANAGER CHRISTIAN P. Christian did call me once he read the review and actually said that he "did not need to call me regarding my concerns" . Thiers not enough mirrors to satisfy this mans ego. I have never heard that statement from a sales manager but this goes to show you the type of person he is . Certainly used car sales attitude. They made two lame attempts to correct. It looks like I will have to get this corrected at my expense . I will pass onto as many people as possible not to deal with this dealership including WEINS . BTW the general manager is basically a waste of time to deal with . Its a shame people like this represent a quality product. Any way " BUYER BE AWARE " . More
