My husband and I purchased a used car to accommodate our expanding family. Sunny was confident, helpful and very knowledgable. I was looking for a commuter car, Mazda 3, however wanted used. Moe selected cars for me to try based on my price range and mileage. Friendly service, approachable and efficient. The only disappointment was used. Moe selected cars for me to try based on my price range and mileage. Friendly service, approachable and efficient. The only disappointment was the fact that the vehicle only came with one key and in order to get a second key it is going to cost me over $100. Moe is helping me with this though. More
Moe Sobeh, from whom we recently bought our new CX-5, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout. He promptly returned our calls and even anticipated some of our questions. The test drive was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout. He promptly returned our calls and even anticipated some of our questions. The test drive was great. We were out there a long time and Moe took us through all the special features of the car. Fun. This is our second car from Bank Street Mazda and our fourth Mazda. Moe treated us like valued friends of the company and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted in this new car. We definitely would recommend Moe and Bank Street Mazda to anyone. We went into the Bank Street Mazda dealership with the intent to quickly (within the week) purchase a vehicle. We had not yet settled on the CX-5 but it was the lead contender. Moe Sobeh was very helpful intent to quickly (within the week) purchase a vehicle. We had not yet settled on the CX-5 but it was the lead contender. Moe Sobeh was very helpful both at the dealership and over the phone. He was always happy to talk with us and returned our calls promptly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and show us the 'not so obvious' features of the vehicle which was very helpful. He was frank about the numbers and was willing to find the middle ground with us without us feeling any pressure to 'seal the deal'. In the end, we were able to get all of the extra accessories that we wanted and we were quite happy with the final monthly payment total. When we went in to pick up our new CX-5, he took the time to give us a detailed tour of our new car and explained how the dealership servicing department worked should we choose to get our servicing done there. Overall, our experience at this dealership and with Moe Sobeh was a great success. The level of service was definitely better than the other 5 other dealerships that we visited. We would not hesitate to recommend both the dealership and Moe to anyone. More
My experience with with Jordan was amazing. He knew his product, he knew what he was doing, and went way over beyond his scope as a sells person is. He was easy to talk to, he was very friendly, and he had product, he knew what he was doing, and went way over beyond his scope as a sells person is. He was easy to talk to, he was very friendly, and he had a very good positive attitude through the process. I have been to other dealerships in the past and I have never had such a good experience. I am very grateful to have met you Jordan, I thank you for helping me choose the best car for my needs, and I wish you the best of luck with your future clients. If you need to purchase a car and want someone who will be with you every step of the way I recommend Jordan. More
This was the second time I've visited Bank Street Mazda. The first (several weeks ago) was for a powertrain issue - loss of power while driving on highways with powertrain fault light illuminated an Mazda. The first (several weeks ago) was for a powertrain issue - loss of power while driving on highways with powertrain fault light illuminated and slow to restart - which I was told was possibly due to corrosion on the PCM. During the service, the PCM was inspected with 'nothing found' and as such a simple software update was performed. The service advisor I dealt with (I'm sorry I forget his name) explained things very well and, despite the lack of fix, left me feeling fairly positive. He alluded to the fact that it could have been a one-time system glitch that shouldn't recur. The second time I visited the dealership (for multiple recurrences of the same issue) I dropped the car off at approx 3pm and was told by the service advisor (Marcel Faucher) that the technician's would call me with the results of their diagnostic. At approx 5:45pm I called the service department back to inquire about the status of my vehicle and was told that all of the technician's finish at 5pm and that my car was still 'in progress'. The gentleman I spoke with said that he could not give me any more info and that he himself was in the process of locking up and going home. When I asked to come get my car as I was never told it would be held overnight I was told that this was not a possibility; this person did tell me that I would receive a call 'first thing in the morning' (they open at 7am) by the technicians to explain what was happening. At this point I should probably mention that I am not from Ottawa and was simply passing through on the way to visit family when this all happened (just good...or bad fortune that I was able to return it to Bank Street). So I was left in Ottawa, without access to my vehicle (including clothes, valuable camera equipment, my dog's food and bedding, etc). I showed up at the dealership anyway, hoping to plead my case with anyone who might have access to my keys, and was told by the receptionist (a very friendly girl by the way) that there is only 1 person with after hours access to the keys but he 'doesn't answer his cellphone' and that this 'happened again on the weekend'...maybe there's an issue when the only on call person isn't really on call? The next morning, at 7:15am, I attempted to call the service department with no success and after about half an hour of trying just decided to show up (I was lucky enough to crash the night with some friends in the area). When I arrived I was told the same thing (my vehicle was 'in progress' and that they would notify me when it was ready) and this time I waited for approx 45 min. When I received my vehicle back I was told that there was corrosion on the PCM but that it would be PREMATURE to replace it without any symptoms. No symptoms? How about losing power to the vehicle while driving at highway speeds? I understand that the computer was not correctly registering the error codes but c'mon! I was supposed to be towing a trailer that week for a family vacation and when I asked the service advisor (again, Mr. Marcel Faucher) if there was any possbile safety risk he said 'at least you have Mazda roadside assistance'...not worried about getting a tow, I was worried about towing a trailer, with my family in the vehicle, and not having the power to control it on the highway. At least they didn't charge me for this farce of a diagnostic...oh wait, it was covered under warranty anyway. When I brought the concerns forward at my home dealership, they ordered the part and it will be installed later this week. After this experience at Bank Street Mazda dealing with Marcel Faucher, I can adamantly say that I will NEVER go to that dealership again for service, sales, or anything else and that I would rather get a tow to any other dealership than deal with them again. They left me feeling unsure of my vehicle, undervalued as a customer, and extremely frustrated (it's no wonder I didn't receive their standard email customer service survey after the visit). More
