My car was under warranty and as I would notice that it was going through coolant very quick. I brought it here weekly several weeks in a row and these idiots kept refilling the coolant instead of diagnosing the problem. It needed a water pump which is a VERY common problem with the e92 335i and they had no clue. Not only that the water pump they finally installed failed within a year (thankfully still under manufacturer's warranty). Not only that they didn't replace the hose which also blew while I was driving down the 401. That's just one example. I had low engine power another time and I don't know what these fools replaced under warranty but what was needed was a new vacuum hose. BMW Grand River was able to diagnose this right away and also serviced me after my hose failed. Despite this being the closest dealership to me I will gladly drive the extra distance to go elsewhere (don't end up at Maranello though). If you're off warranty you can find a much better shop. More

Since I moved to North York I thought to start servicing my car at Steels. However the person at the Parts there sounded very confused and upset with my request and could not understand why I "could not handle my tires myself' or "why should they come to my house to bring my tires' ( I requested to transfer them from Sunlight Park 11, which is BMW Toronto Downtown. Then he told me that I was being rude and that he will transfer me to Service so 'they could maybe find someone to help me". I am not going back to the Autohaus outfit on Steels - I do not even want to call it BMW - my favourite brand stands for performance and efficiency. I take offence for the brand I love and for thousands of great people across the world who make the BMW brand the Ultimate Joy of Driving. More

I had a burnt battery didn't know if it The service Manager Domenic Ismaele is an absolute jerk. He has no manners in how to speak with BMW customers. I had a burnt battery didn't know if it would start I went to autohaus purchased a battery and I asked the service guy to have it installed by a mechanic, he told me how they were completely busy and it won't be done for a few days. Really it's a swap of a battery. He tells me mechanics have taken days off plus it's the jays game so it's really busy. What does the jays game have to do with my problem. Anyhow I understood and left with the new battery and tried swapping it myself in the parking lot. One of my ranches fell and couldn't get a hand on it. I walked in quite frustrated ask for some help had told the same guy I have an emergency I have no way of getting out and I am at your dealership, he went for a second and comes back and tells me it's $159 for the swapping of the batteries, I said hold on it's not about the money and at first I thought you were completely busy and had no way of my car getting in and why did I struggle in the light rain for 15 mins trying to remove the battery. I said I need to speak to a manager. Here comes the real problem Mr. Domenic Ismaele he says it's $159 he didn't even put in an effort in listening to what I had to say about my concern. I told him I am confused, I had told your service guy I have a dying battery and can't leave the dealership he told me sorry we are really busy and can't do it today. So why does he tell me 15 mins later when he sees I am struggling with my car and says we can fix it today but it will be $159.. If he had told me that from the beginning this wouldn't have be an issue. The service manager flips out and says to me you know what we are not working on your car you can get out of here or else I'll get your car towed. I said I have no battery he yelled and said get it out of here I don't care... Is this the way you handle your customers BMW? I am so shocked!! He had insulted me by yelling and talking with his hands infront of other customers and employees.. Really embarrassing.. He needs to leave his job. More

The receptionist was quite literally the depiction of a spoiled brat with an overblown sense of self, and had extremely rude attitude. This was followed by a most uncomfortable interaction with what was an unprofessional, overbearing, and totally condescending car salesman. The whole experience was completely sour, and I found it to truly cheapen the brand. More

Took the car to I had the worst service experience EVER at BMW Autohaus!! There were lots of smoke coming out from the exhaust on my 2009 335 coupe. Took the car to the dealership and they advised that it’s most likely the turbo drain pipes that are clogged and so needs to be replaced (cost $2500). Got the car after 3 days and the problem is still there (lots of smoke). Took the car back, only to hear that the SECOND STEP is to change the valve cover gasket & crank case hose (cost $3200). At this time I was very frustrated and lucky enough to get a $2500 credit towards the 2nd service, because the car was not fixed the first time, by pressuring the service advisor and the service manager. Long story short my car was not fixed the 2nd time either and there was still lots of smoke coming out from the exhaust. They wanted more money to do more tests & diagnosis, which I refused!! I basically paid clo,se to $4000 with taxes and the extras for nothing!! I do not understand the concept of STEPS, as they say. If my car has a mechanical problem and you’re not able to fix it, why do I have to pay more for your CERTIFIED BMW MECHANICS to practice experiments on my car!! They act as if they have NEVER seen this problem before!! Service here at this location lacks the knowledge & quality, and all they’re trying to do is to rip you off!! In my suggestion anything more than an oil change or tire rotation for your BMW, take it anywhere but BMW AUTOHAUS!! I will make sure to post this review everywhere so that people are aware of your TERRIBLE service!! More

It is surprising to witness the unorganized internal processes that exist at thornhill bmw autohaus. Making an appointment needs to be made at least one week in advanced even after appealing the urgency of a sooner appointment. -1. After arriving and leaving the car to replace a tire that was told could not be repaired proceeded to wait for an accumulated 3 additional hours as the location of a replacement tire was being searched. Repeatedly told in 45 minute intervals that progress was being made sitting stale in the waiting room followed by repeated excuses and delays. -2 After finally having the work completed waited an additional 20 minutes to have the car washed as it was in queue and not priority. -3 Driving off the lot on the way home the vehicle monitoring system alarmed and alerted tire pressure low. Had to drive back to the dealership service department to have it explained. Waited another 30minutes for a technician to come and reset what should have been completed as part of the initial repair. -4 It is my belief that the service centre is busy as a result of the free maintenance associated with a new BMW purchase. It is also my belief that their lack of attention to detail and customer service experience is attributed to the fact that little money is made on free maintenance. A luxury premier dealership I think should provide better effort. I hope that there is bmw dealership that provides this as it is part of the car ownership experience. Please share if there is one in the GTA. I also own a Volkswagon bought from richmondhill volkswagon and their service department is above and beyond my expectations even though it isn't a luxury brand. That is what I am basing my customer experience against. More

Nearly every experience at this dealership is an unsatisfactory one, where I did not feel like a valued customer. I just keep going back because it happens to be close to my home, and the original unsatisfactory one, where I did not feel like a valued customer. I just keep going back because it happens to be close to my home, and the original contact I have with this dealership is a friend of a friend. The test drives are short, where you just go around a city block, in 50-60 zones with lots of traffic, so you never get to really try out the car. 2 days in advance of the day, when I tried to change the delivery appointment time for my new car, the staff was curt and rude, and said that was impossible. Previously, whenever I took my car in for service, the waits for shuttle cars took hours, and the service reps were rarely pleasant. This is the last time I will ever deal with this dealership. I'm going to Town and Country or another dealership in the future for service. The only saving grace is Maria Anghel, an experienced and well-respected Business Manager, who is extremely professional and cordial to deal with. Otherwise, stay away. More
