May 18/23 my 2021 Nissan Kicks was in for a routine maintenance check. My advicer Sarah Tran was professional, efficient. The Apple Store said my new iPhone was set up and would automatically connect but after numerous attempts no success. The next day I returned to Applewood Nissan and approached Sarah. She was busy but would help me soon. Sarah is very tech savvy, within a few minutes and a few adjustments on my iPhone I was set up and ready to go. To me this was truly FIVE STAR SERVICE. He is such a wonderful person and Applewood Nissan in Richmond is very lucky to have him on their team. (Applewood is great too!) Sahil answered all my questions, spent a lot of time with me, not rushing me, and explained the process every step of the way. He checks in now and then to see how things are going. We found Applewood Nissan Richmond to be a refreshing change from some competing dealerships that we had dealt with previously. We say that because right from the moment we walked through the Applewood d change from some competing dealerships that we had dealt with previously. The salesman, Hark, greeted us in a friendly and polite manner, and clearly radiated the impression that he actually cared about our needs and business. The good things continued from there. Hark showed us a nice Pathfinder, explained all the relevant options and benefits (in a way that made sense, and didn't seem pushy), and then allowed us to take a low pressure test drive. Hark's great attitude and knowledge convinced us to purchase the vehicle. Negotiating the final price was stress free; without prejudice because we didn't want to trade in our current vehicle nor finance the deal, unlike other dealerships that push blatantly for both options to make extra profits on the overall deal. We then moved on to the Finance Office, but didn't look forward to that visit because of previous experiences at other dealerships, whose Finance staff seemed to have a cold, almost non-caring 'just pay me' attitude. We couldn't have been more wrong. Nina, the Financial Services Manager, was friendly, genuine, very organized and easy to deal with. After that, Hark introduced us to the Service Department staff, and we were very impressed with their friendly attitude and obvious competence. There were other things too, that while not really critical, added to the sense of customers being welcome and important ... things like all the staff saying Hi and being friendly, snacks and drinks in various locations, comfortable lounges etc. Anyway, don't believe us ... go and check it out yourself. I had a very bad experience with this dealership when they missed a fundamental issue on a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was buying from another dealership.
