Dishonest, Untrustworthy and Willing to Risk Your Safety This dealership is willing to risk your safety and possibly your life. Do not trust anything any of the Sales people, the Sales Manager, or the General Manager say. Do your due diligence plus more if you ever think about buying a vehicle there. I'm not even sure dishonest is a strong enough term to use in describing the business ethics and actions of this dealer I could post the whole litany of events, but, in summary, we purchased a used Kia Sorrento from this dealer. When we purchased the vehicle they confirmed a full service and safety inspection was done on the vehicle prior to us purchasing, and even provided a copy of the report. Turns out they didn't feel it necessary to disclose or mention there was a serious engine failure recall that they had not performed the service on. The actual recall notice states that this engine failure could cause a serious accident. The car was purchased for use commuting daily during rush hour on Highway 1 in the Lower Mainland BC. We purchased this vehicle as my wife wanted a larger vehicle for increased safety. This dealer was willing to sell a vehicle, not disclose a significant issue that could have caused a serious accident and put lives (ours and other drivers on the road) at significant risk. Do not trust this dealer or anything they say. They do not disclose all relevant information. In fact, the engine did seize 5 months after we purchased while driving on the freeway. When we went back to the dealer for a discussion on what they could do for us, the General Manager (Peter) denied any responsibility for the issue, and stated there was nothing he, or the dealership could, or would do. Thankfully Kia Canada is recognizing its responsibility and having the engine replaced. I can only say. All is "NOT" good at Applewood. They are, in my opinion, essentially a dishonest car dealer, and its things like this that give all car dealers such as bad name. They deserve to be tagged with the description "Typical Used Car Salesman". I would not even give them one star as a rating, except its the lowest that can be given. Thanks Applewood Kia for almost causing my wife to be in a serious accident doing 100km per hour on the freeway. I'm happy to know you feel profit comes before peoples safety. More

I got a Nissan GT-R R35 from this place, when I took the car home I realized that one of the high beam headlights don’t work. I took the car back to the dealership and they blamed that on me saying that I’m responsible for it and offered no help what so ever. Also, when I bought the car they zip tied my number plate on a $75000 car instead of putting it on properly, very unprofessional. They say that they inspect the cars fully before they sell them but I don’t believe that, a while after I got the car the transmission of the car blew, the GTR is a track car, I’ve never taken the car to the track once in my life it’s barely been driven how can the transmission on a car like that just fail. The car was faulty when it was sold, when I took the car back to them they said it’ll be $40,000 to fix the transmission. I wouldn’t spend $40,000 on a car that was given to me which was faulty. I told them I can’t do that so now they send my car to a shop which isn’t linked to the dealership what so ever and where the owner of the place doesn’t answer any calls and I have no clue about the status of my car is. It’s been almost three months and I have no clue what’s going on with my car. Please guys don’t shop here they don’t help they just worry about selling. More

I ended up getting to my appointment and needing to provide additional information and as a result wasted my time and gas traveling from Vancouver. I tried hard to avoid the situation by calling numerous times to see if someone could answer my questions and return my call. I feel if they had thought it was important to return my call that they would have, instead I ended up leaving extremely frustrated when If they returned my call the day prior I could have 1. Brought what they needed or 2. Changed my appointment until I had what they needed. They did offer $20 for gas but I was very done and upset with the situation that I left without the fuel. More

Insured the vehicle for a day and rushed to bring it in only to be met by someone else, Ben sales manager who mad em wait and finally said it is a no cost car and could do $200 at most for a perfectly running low mileage 2003 Sedona. LOL what a waste of my time and efforts. What a joke this dealership is. Avoid it. Im usually generous with reviews but this service was terrible terrible. More

No service for cars under warranty? I bought my 2014 Kia Optima brand new at this dealership. On April 28, 2017, I went there for a diagnostic appointment. It turned out to be a failed w I bought my 2014 Kia Optima brand new at this dealership. On April 28, 2017, I went there for a diagnostic appointment. It turned out to be a failed wheel bearing, which was a warranty repair. They didn't have the part in stock, so they said they ordered it and that it would take about 10 days to get to them. They also said that they would call me when it came in. On May 1, Applewood CSR, Jennie, left me a voicemail requesting feedback about my experience at that appointment. I returned her call that same day and, after giving her the info she requested, I explained to her that I intended to go on a road trip on my birthday on May 10. I asked if it was possible to have the bearing replaced before then. She said that she would ask the Service Manager to call me as soon as possible. I ultimately cancelled my travel plans, thinking that it was more important to get the repair done than to party on my birthday. It is now June 1 and still no one from Applewood has called me. In the meantime, I called Kia West in Coquitlam on May 5 and they did the repair on May 15. I will be buying my next Kia at that dealership. More
