The Labour Guide says it should have only taken 1 hour to change the window regulator which I found out after the fact from my friend's boyfriend who is a mechanic from Honda. I didn't bring my reading glasses so I didn't notice until I got home and looked at the invoice. I had the first appointment of the day pre-booked so I could get out on time but they didn't get my car in until 1 hour 15 minutes later. I know when it went in because I could see my car the entire time while waiting the entire time in the service area and also saw when it was driven back out. After I got home from running a few errands, I tried calling the service department but no one picked up and the phone system kept rerouting me to the reception area but no one picked up the phone there either. I ended up emailing the service manager and it has now been over a week and no one has contacted me. Normally they give a courtesy call after each service my car receives and send me a survey. Interestingly, this is the first time I haven't received either which leads me to believe that they know I am upset and don't know how to deal with it. If this review had the ability to upload my proof of charges I would. It is really unfortunate because they used to be much better than this. I think the mechanic must have been going for a year end bonus or they are trying to make up for a loss of car sales due to the pandemic. Another guess is, this is how they pay for their courtesy Uber rides for their customers and even worse, trying to scare people into buying a new car because the labour fees are so high on an older car. Oh, and on top of the work that was done, they charged a $135 diagnostic fee a couple of weeks before the work was done. Update: Due to the frustration from the lack of response from the service department, I emailed a very detailed and documented letter to the General Manager. I think he must have just skimmed over my letter because he really didn't address several of my concerns and didn't acknowledge that I had already paid a diagnostic fee previously or the 3 screen shots from the other dealership showing the labour should have only taken 1 hour. The screen shot is from software used at most repair shops. No apology from the General Manager and he made an excuse about the cost of real estate and says they have one of the lowest rates around. If he wants to make a big deal about the cost of real estate then he should understand that the BC Assessment shows that the Honda Dealership property is worth $30,000,000 in Vancouver and his Kia Dealership is only worth $10,000,000 in Surrey, yet Honda still has a lower hourly labour rate. The service manager did leave a voicemail after receiving a copy of the General Manager's email so we will see what transpires. More
Applewood kia Surrey (fleetwood) is by far the worst dealership I have ever been in contact with. I have spoken to 4 different people there from the general sale managers to different sales people and they have all given me false information, lied to me, sold a vehicle under me (said it wasn’t for sale when I was going to buy it that day and then sold it) and all gave me different information each time. They are incredibly rude, don’t return phone calls when you have made appointments, and tell you things but then cannot back up their claims. The general sales manager Tyler was the last person I dealt with and it was like talking to a wall. Continued to lie to me and could not back up his claims and false information even when I proved him otherwise. Avoid this location at all costs! Just a bunch of scammers and liars. * Jessika was actually super helpful!! She deserves 5 stars for sure. Tyler would be a zero if I could give it. More
They push you to purchase a vehicle, and once you do so, they don't care about you. Terrible service from the receptionist and you will never get a call back after leaving your number. Went inside to inquire about vehicle they were advertising to see if still available. Salesman said car was still available but not on lot due to manager driving it around. I understand the term demo but “demoing” a 2013 100k plus car didn’t make sense to me. Not sure why the manager and upper management are okay with this kinda sketchy policy. Are you guys wanting to sell cars and provide a decent customer service or drive them around and toy with potential buyers. More

An hour and a half later and not one person responds or cares even after asking another person because the person you were dealing with is ignoring you xxxx they even ignore your phone calls as you sit waiting so phone from a friends phone he answers and is shocked it's you so you ask for them or who is supposed be helping now because the buck switched hands and another half hour goes by and still nobody they just leave you sitting looking like a fool waiting! Poor Sales Team and Management I have just purchased my 5th Kia from Applewood Kia. It will be my last through that dealership. I went into the dealership after them promising to get me everything I wanted for minimal increase in price. They provided me an amazing 2019 Sorento with all the of the features I was looking for. In prior dealings with Applewood I did very minimal, if any, negotiation. This time, I did make my expectations clear for what I was looking to pay. I asked them not to waste my time and for them to ensure that they were providing me a car and payment I was looking for. They did not respect this. They came in well above what I was looking for and when I made it clear what I would pay they still came in above. I asked for the all in number and even when it was provided it changed multiple times. I felt bullied by the team there because my husband didn't come to sign the paperwork with me and once the final, final number came in we signed and took delivery. I had to come back to address payment date and they tried to have me sign new paperwork saying the number needed to change again. I didn't get a proper detail, my windshield was so filthy that I had to take it to get addressed myself. My calls don't get returned, I have questions about features and warranty that remain unanswered and my UVO still remains unregistered. I don't even know if I actually am going to get my first service as promised, but reflecting, I may not bother taking it there anyways. My husband was told they would call back and tried to provide his number but the manager hung up. I've been a Kia customer since 2003 and being on the 5th car, I expect to be treated as a valued customer, 2003 Rio, 2005 Spectra, 2010 and 13 Sportage and now a 2019 Sorento. I should have known when I brought up that I had bought our other Kia's here and he didn't seem to care much that it should have been a red flag this was going to go south. More
