I have been in the automotive industry for over 33yrs and have enjoyed each day. My career started as a detailer at a dealership in Oakville where I grew up but I now live in the Niagara region with my family. Over this time I have worked in most departments and there has always been one constant, and that is customer service. I take pride in making sure that customers receive the experience they deserve. I had a problem with my vehicle and dealt with Dave the Mgr. of car sales. I was not impressed with his getting back to me. On 2 different occasions, he did not reply to me. Last week, I had the best & smoothest car-buying experience of my life. Previously, I purchased vehicles from dozens of dealerships all across southern Ontario (Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Mazda, Audi, e experience of my life. Previously, I purchased vehicles from dozens of dealerships all across southern Ontario (Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Mazda, Audi, etc). The experience I had at St Catharines Nissan was better than I could have imagined and far exceeded my expectations. The bar was raised so high I don’t think it can get any better. As soon as I walked into the dealership, I was greeted by Kevin Luna, who ended up selling me a brand new car. Kevin was friendly, professional, kind & considerate. His happy & upbeat demeanour makes it easy to talk to him. I felt like his main priority was to help me and give me information. I didn’t feel pressured at all & didn’t feel like it was a business interaction. If you are looking for information about a vehicle, Kevin knew all the details, from inside to out. He is an automotive-enthusiast who really loves cars. He was able to teach me about all the Nissan vehicles available and compare/contrast them to similar cars I was cross-shopping with. I ended up putting a downpayment on a car that very day and felt good about doing it! They needed to prepare my new car, so I went back home with a scheduled time for pick-up. Kevin kept me updated on every step during the week. And when I came to pick up my new car, he made the experience so special. I felt like a real VIP: he took his time going thru all of the paperwork, answering all my questions, and took me outside to show me the vehicle. Kevin took extra time to go through every detail of my new car, showing all the safety and luxury features that made me fall in love with my Nissan. I came to the Nissan dealership in st. Catharine’s looking to purchase a car. I was greeted by a car salesmen named Rene, he was very friendly and polite. Rene made the whole process smooth and painless from start to finish he wasn’t pushy at all. Rene is very efficient and is a huge asset to the Nissan brand. I am so distraught! I was called to pick up my new car and it wasn't even mine! I kept saying I didn't think I ordered certain features when I was shown it but I was ass I was called to pick up my new car and it wasn't even mine! I kept saying I didn't think I ordered certain features when I was shown it but I was assured it was mine. A few hours later, I was called and informed that the car I just bought, the car I signed for wasn't even mine. That call came from Dave, he seemed apologetic and understanding. I unfortunately had the opportunity to meet with Chris Rose the next day when returning the car. There was no compassion or empathy for their huge mistake. I signed for a car that wasn't mine, for an interest rate and term agreement that was someone else's! I got insurance for 'my' new car, got rid of my old one so really don't have a car now, and this was a huge waste of my time and a let down. All Chris could say was 'oh well, human error.' Because of Chris, I am contemplating cancelling my car order. I left his office in tears and he didn't even care. More

I had a couple of communications issues with my “product consultant” i.e. salesperson, probably due in part to some inexperience and training needs on is part. However the Sales Manager and management team consultant” i.e. salesperson, probably due in part to some inexperience and training needs on is part. However the Sales Manager and management team at the dealership, were quick to step in and helped the work through the communication errors in an appropriate add meaningful way. My product consultant apologized for how he handled the situation and everything was handled in a very professional manner. I think it was a good learning experience for everyone, myself included. Christopher showed us a nice 2016 Pathfinder Premium SL and we agreed on it. When we went to sign papers he informed us that the safety had failed due to seat belt mechanism and said they couldn't find it and we agreed on it. Derek come into the meeting and told us he would give us a 300. gift card for the inconvenience. He then showed us a 2018 Pathfinder Platinum that we had to pay 500.00 to have brought in. We never got a chance to look at the vehicle as we contracted COVID-19. We had to isolate for 14 days. This vehicle went back to Burlington before we could even look at it. He then showed us a 2017 which he told us it was a 2018 Pathfinder Premium. He even did a short video and the dealer plate said 2018. I tried to insure it but it obviously kept coming up as a 2017. We agreed to this vehicle without seeing it due to COVID-19. He told us it was in excellent condition and we took his word. We finalized paper work online and I picked up vehicle. A few days later I did my inspection of the vehicle to find it had scratches on almost the whole vehicle. I took the vehicle back in and they looked it over and said ..you didn't buy a new vehicle!! He then agreed to have scratches buffed out which they did a terrible job. There was also rust spots in 4 area's that they wouldn't repair. So we paid over 30K on a vehicle that was all scratched up and with rust spots.Both myself and my brother in law were called liars when we asked about the 300. gift card. Derek denied he said that. I can go on... I have a texts about what I just said to back me up. Will I purchase another vehicle from St.Catharines Nissan....very doubt it. More
