Purchasing a car can be an intimidating experience depending on the customer service one is confronted with. Dealing with Jorge at Volvo Metro West was a friendly and cordial experience and are happy to have purchased the car. The Volvo XC60 is truly a magnificent automobile.

I bought a 2022 CPO XC90 Recharge in April. While driving back home i noticed broken parts in the interior. I instantly complained (same day and sent pictures). No acknowledgement from them, i went to have the pay fixed by another dealer and I'm still waiting for the refund from Volvo Oakville. Additionally fault happened on the second week, due to unserviced battery system. This is shameless and shody CPO preparation. Buyer beware

My 13 year old Porsche Diesel died without warning, so I went straight to Volvo Cars Toronto on Eastern Avenue the same day. We'd owned an XC90 before, so this wasn't a new platform to learn, and my research told me it was the right move. I'd booked ahead with Lyana Tamin, the brand representative. She got back to me fast and had her team ready to move. The one frustration was money, not car. We spent far more time on trade in value than on the vehicle itself. The initial number was a lowball, low enough that I nearly walked. Losing a deal over a couple thousand dollars, money that gets absorbed into the lease anyway, makes no sense. Lyana stepped in and came back with a fair number, and that saved it. Tonya Thompson in Financial Services moved things along quickly once the numbers were settled. We signed the same day, about an hour total. Pickup two days later was smooth. Jonathan, the brand ambassador, was patient walking us through the new touchscreen setup and the PHEV system. One small note on presentation. Volvo as a brand stands for safety and security, and the dealership experience could do more to reflect that polish. Next to Porsche, it feels a step behind on the finishing touches, not the substance, just the shine. Good team, worth the visit. Just spend less time negotiating and more time on the car.

Purchasing there was a pleasant experience. Serving there has been a nightmare. 4 times I have been back. 1st time even after making an appointment and indicating I need a ride they had no one to drive me nor a vehicle for me to use. Waiting almost 3 hours for the results of the scan and then told part not in stock. 2nd visit was to have the part installed and again no one to drive me, called an Uber. 3rd visit was scheduled maintenance 1. booked an appointment and told them I would be waiting as I need my car to work. took almost an hour before the car was brought in past its scheduled time. Over all time was almost 3 hours for basically and oil change. 4th visit most recent booked an appointment and stated I needed a ride. Car taken in before appointment and ride was given after only having t wait 25 minutes. 2 hours later the car was ready. Not great but almost acceptable for a scan to find issue that caused check engine light. Told then that the driver was not available to pick me up right now but would get a call when they were. 1 hour and 40 minutes later told the driver was still busy but could get me in over an hour if I wanted to wait. Not my idea of service. Need to find another dealership since I paid for 6 services and an extended warranty.

Bought a used XC60 last month from Carling after many weeks of looking and talking to many different sales persons. By far the best deal and the best sales experience was at Carling. The sales person Etienne Bercier was straight forward, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. If you are in the market for a Volvo do yourself a favour, call Carling and ask for Etienne.

I had two issues in the past month and both times when I called, his advice and help was stellar. Marc is truly an asset for this dealership, And for people in the general public like me, who need a little help and advice. And sometimes quite abit more : ) God bless this guy. After 4 new Lexus SUVs in a row - I entered the St-Laurent Volvo dealership expecting to confirm that I would be buying Lexus No. 5 – and boy was I in for a surprise. Within minutes of my arrival, I met Rick and Joëlle and knew that I was dealing with a ‘we wish to assist you without any pressure’ attitude'. After three visits with Rick and Joëlle (interspersed with visits at competitors’ SUVs) where I had numerous questions about different additional options available for the 2018 XC 60 Hybrid (a most impressive ‘blow the competition out of the water’ SUV) and available financing options, I purchased my first Volvo, and first ‘non Lexus’ vehicle in over 15 years. Rick and Joëlle were friendly, actually quite funny and very knowledgeable about their products. This without doubt was the most pleasant vehicle purchase I have ever experienced. If Rick and Joëlle stick around, I will very likely be breaking my Lexus record for continuous purchases from the same manufacturer...

Two more times readjustment for the replaced brakes - jiang123

I would like to share my mysterious experience here to see if anybody can help me to solve this issue. According to their recommendation, the whole brake system of my Volvo XC90 was replaced at this workshop. After driving back home, we found the E brake did not function. I sent an email to the workshop and requested to get the problem fixed the following day since we are going to travel afterwards. We sent the car back to the workshop the next day and the E brake was readjusted to fix this problem. In the morning of the third day, we drove about 20 minutes in the city of London and then entered highway 401. After driving about 10 km on the highway, we heard some strange noises and felt the violent vibration and the car was like driving on a very bumpy road. We had to pull over our car. I realized some burning smell coming out from the right rear wheel. I attempted to use my finger to touch the right rear disc and found it was super hot to burn my finger. However, the other three discs are just gently warm and I can put my fingers on them without any un-comfortability. I called Volvo London and talked with the lady named Ruth. After I described the problem to her and reminded her that my car's brakes were just replaced. She definitely said that something got stuck on my car's rear right wheel and it was nothing related to the car's brakes. I told her that my car's brakes were just replaced at your workshop. She said "it is nice". I have to say she was very rude this time even though she sometimes behaves ok. I am just curious should the so called service advisor behave in this way when the customer desperately needs help? Then I requested to talk with the service department manager. I described the problem to him and he confirmed that this phenomenon was not normal. He suggested me to call roadside assistance to get my car back to the workshop. After my car was towed back, I also talked with the service manager in person and he confirmed again that the phenomenon I described was not normal. They promised me to check it and sent me back home. In the late afternoon, they sent my car back home and an invoice report as well. Mysteriously, they did not report anything wrong. I have communicated with Volvo Canada and they confirmed all the parts consumed on my car are certified to defect free. Then the question is: what caused the malfunction of my car's brakes on highway? I could not get any reasonable explanation from the workshop. Who can help me to explain what happened?

Service dept. over charges for basic work. They quoted me $475 for Rotor Resurfacing, and $520 for Brake Service (clean and lube calipers). $995 + tax and shop supplies.. over $1k for brake servicing??! I called Volvo Waterloo, and they quoted me $420 for the exact same service!!!! Glad I decided to pass on their 'Recommended' service.

I was driving my 2002 Isuzu NPR between Calgary and Nova Scotia when a hissing noise started coming from the engine under load around Petawawa ON. Phoned the service department on Friday, October 08, 2016 late in the afternoon and they booked me in for the next morning. One a half hour later I was back on the road. Personable and honest people. Great service!

This dealership grossly misrepresented the value of my Volvo trade-in at time of purchase of a new vehicle, and when the new vehicle arrived, the dealership ratcheted down the trade-in value by 35%, a cash difference to me in the order of $12,000 - $13,000. They had me committed on the purchase contract, and then levered that as hard as they could against me. I was a repeat customer; not any more.
