Over promises. - Knwr
Over promises. Under delivers.
That pretty much sums up my experience with the Service Department at Preston GM in Langley.
The latest episode was not the first.
I realize there are challenges to running a smooth Parts and Service Department however, you’d think after these many years in business they’d have a system where they could at least provide a pretty good experience for their customers and their vehicles.
After reading some of the reviews here, I’m puzzled why my experiences have been quite the opposite.
With the high cost of maintaining a vehicle it’s important to me that the job and requested maintenance be done properly and that also includes using the same brand of oil the vehicle has used since day one as recommended by GM
In case you are thinking they don’t make that certain brand anymore, they do.
It’s a leading national high quality of oil that GM recommended since the vehicle was new.
When asked what happened after being assured it would be, the finger pointing started.
The service writer started making excuses, the counter staff (who promised the correct parts would be used) acted as if nothing happened and it all came down to the Parts Department.
They messed up, I was told.
The oil wasn’t ordered.
For me, I’ve had enough.
There are plenty of good independent auto repair shops in Langley that can get the job done without the charades of the Preston GM actors.
I do not recommend Preston GM’s Service Department in keeping your highly prized vehicle in top performance.
