Took my GLA 250 in for a checkup before the winter. - bradicus

Took my GLA 250 in for a checkup before the winter. As always, the staff here provided an excellent experience for me. They gave me a loaner to get to work and kept in touch with me throughout the day. I bought a maintenance package when I bought the vehicle, so there was a lot of peace of mind. My advisor still gave me a full inspection and made sure to talk about everything they did (including a full wash). I was in a bit of rush, so I had her email me my report to look at later. I really had to go, but she made sure I was completely satisfied with my visit. On my drive home, I was thinking about how methodical she was - she really made sure I was taken care of. I'll be sure to connect with her on future appointments, I was very impressed.

I recently purchased a Lexus from Mercedes-Benz Country - Twakela

I recently purchased a Lexus from Mercedes-Benz Country Hills and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the dealership after the sale. At the time of purchase, our salesperson specifically told us that because we purchased our vehicle through the dealership, we would have access to their airport parking and shuttle service. I even asked whether I needed this in writing and was assured that I did not. When I later applied to use the airport parking, the employee assisting me also did not know there was a distinction between Mercedes-Benz and non-Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It was only after my completed application was submitted that I was told our Lexus was not eligible. I raised the issue through three levels of management, including the Service Manager, General Manager and Managing Partner. The General Manager acknowledged in writing that the benefit had been incorrectly represented to us by their employee and that “that should not have happened.” Despite acknowledging the mistake, the dealership ultimately maintained the same position through three levels of management: they would reimburse $57 for the parking on the one trip, but would not honour the ongoing benefit or provide meaningful compensation for its loss. This was not a benefit offered for one trip. We were told it would be available for as long as we owned the vehicle. What is particularly disappointing is that the dealership acknowledged the error but still chose to leave the customer to absorb the loss of a benefit that had significant value to us. Unfortunately, this was not the only concern I had with the vehicle’s preparation. The security wheel lug nut was missing, the windshield washer fluid had not been filled, the infotainment system had not been properly reset and still contained the previous owner’s information, and we were given incorrect information about the vehicle having a garage-door opener. I also could not get clear confirmation that the oil change had been completed. Given that the vehicle was represented as having undergone a 180-point inspection, these issues caused me to question how thoroughly the inspection and preparation had actually been completed. Taken together, these experiences left me feeling that the focus was on completing the sale rather than providing the level of attention to detail, accountability and customer service I would expect from a dealership of this caliber. Based on this experience, I personally would not purchase another vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Country Hills. I am also submitting this matter to the Better Business Bureau so that my experience and the dealership’s handling of the situation are formally documented. I am sharing my experience honestly so that prospective customers can make an informed decision. My biggest takeaway is simple: if a salesperson promises you a benefit or perk as part of your purchase, get it in writing and do not assume a proper inspection has been completed.
