After having communicated with our sales and service departments, and understanding both our sales manager as well as our service manager had been assisting you and answering your questions about the safety assistance system on your vehicle, hopefully the information that was given can answer your questions about the accident on your vehicle. Besides, for any accident and/or collision happened, even a single vehicle accident in a parking lot, the involved party should report to collision reporting center within 24 hours and/or to consult with their insurance agent. If there is anyone injured or the damage appears to be greater than $2,000, police should be immediately notified. More information can be found here: https://www.fsco.gov.on.ca/en/auto/brochures/pages/brochure_accidents.aspx As a dealership, we will for sure provide full and speedy service on repairing your vehicle back to manufacturer's specification. The response is without merit. The incident occurred because the vehicle's Park Assist safety system failed. The dealer and the manufacturer refuse to honour their warranty to repair the vechicle.

Thank you again for your respond. Kindly understand the Park Assist system is an assistance for the vehicle operator and it would not take over the control of the vehicle. You can find the limitations of the Park Assist system in the user manual that is available on the vehicle's center touch screen display as well as on-line (Please click below useful links for useful information). https://www.volvocars.com/en-ca/support/manuals/xc60/2021w22/driver-support/parking-assist https://www.volvocars.com/en-ca/support/manuals/xc60/2021w22/driver-support/parking-assist/park-assist-limitations The new vehicle warranty covers repairs which are required as a result of defects in material or workmanship, and are brought to the attention of an authorized Volvo retailer by an owner, and will be performed by an authorized Volvo retailer only at no charge during the warranty period. Repairs required because of damage, misuse, abuse, collision, normal wear and tear, incomplete or improper maintenance are not covered by the warranties. Unfortunately, in your particular single vehicle collision incident that happened in the parking lot, which would be on the warranty exclusion clause. More information can be found in the provided "2022 U.S.A./CANADA WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE RECORDS INFORMATION" booklet that is in the Volvo new vehicle binder (in black colour) which should be located in the glove box or being given to you separately during new vehicle delivery.
