TLDR: Love my Crosstrek; wouldn't rebuy from Subaru Calgary I went into Subaru Calgary on November 28 or 29, I spoke with Matt Jorge, he answered my questions regarding the vehicle I was looking at, the options I went into Subaru Calgary on November 28 or 29, I spoke with Matt Jorge, he answered my questions regarding the vehicle I was looking at, the options, some specifications and some financing questions. We arranged an appointment on December 2 for me to test drive the vehicle, a Crosstrek, and for them to have a look at the vehicle I was trading in. The negotiation process wasn’t too bad, it was more than I originally wanted to pay but I did get the eyesight package which I hadn’t factored in so we agreed on some numbers. At that point I was told 2 to 6 weeks, but with my colour choice, likely closer to 2 to 4 weeks. I met with the finance manager, Ryan Romano to sort out the financing details. The only thing the settle was the remote starter, I was told by Matt and Ryan that they’d get me prices before and it would be installed on arrival. So far, so good. A week goes by, nothing; two weeks go by, nothing. I try to get an update and a scan of the documents I had signed, this took at least 4 calls and likely about as many emails. Finally get an update, no news, and received the scanned documents. Still no quote for the remote starter. Another week goes by, another email or two to get an update, no news. Between Christmas and New Years Matt emailed me, the vehicle is on a boat and should arrive early January barring any setbacks. Great! Still nothing about the remote starter. Another week, Matt emails me to say that it should land in Vancouver any day now. Another week, now on January 16th, almost seven weeks later, the car has landed in Vancouver. Still nothing about the remote starter. On the 23rd it landed in Calgary, Ryan called to let me know, I asked again about the remote starter, he said he’d send me the quotes before our appointment on the 29th. On the 29th, over eight weeks after the purchase date, still no remote starter quote, I go to the appointment. I asked Ryan about the remote start, for the nth time, I finally get the prices. I asked for a better price considering the 2 to 4 weeks actually took over eight weeks and Ryan basically vanished out of his office and a couple minutes later the sales manager, Ken Woo, came in. I told him what was going on and that I was at least hoping to get a decent deal on a remote started considering the gong show that this sale was. He flat out said that $300 off was the best he could do. Off a vehicle that was over $30K. Ryan came back, we finalized the documentation, and he extremely briefly covered the extra warrantees and some of coatings. I picked up the vehicle the next day. Overall, Matt was great to deal with, but I was not expecting to have to chase updates; Ryan was not a pleasure to deal with, he had no interest in helping me and wanted me out of his office as fast as humanly possible, Ken didn’t seem to give a xxxx as the sale was done in his book. Fast-forward in March, I look at my credit report and realize that between Subaru Calgary and Toyota Financing, they inquired on my credit (hard inquiries) not once, not twice, but three times! Three! I wasn’t going to write a review as it would have been such a negative review but that was the last straw. I love my Crosstrek and there’s still a good chance that I’ll rebuy Subaru when that time comes, but it will not be from Subaru Calgary. More

Amazing Service Staff After a never ending issue with my power steering modual and a few shops local to me i took the drive to give Subaru Calgary the chance. First visit we found the issue and gave it a fix. After a week the fix never held so Sheena decided replacing the part would work best and it did. The issue that no one els could fix or find she was able to have techs track it down and while i had a 2.5 week wait for a part she gave me a 2017 to drive. Great service, Amazing support and a dedicated team to help get the customer back on the road. Thank you so much Sheena for the hard work. I’ll make the drive and return for all my service/repair needs. More

Personable, attentive service I came in on a bit of a whim to check out current Subaru's before an appointment at a competitor (where I expected to buy a new vehicle). I was so imp I came in on a bit of a whim to check out current Subaru's before an appointment at a competitor (where I expected to buy a new vehicle). I was so impressed by the Forester, and by the service I received that I went back to Subaru Calgary, and finished what we didn't get to earlier due to my time constraints, and I bought my new Forester that day. Gio and Ryan both stayed late to make sure I was taken care of, and were both there again the next day when I came back to take possession. No pressure, it all worked with respect (unlike the other dealer I visited that day, who had various pressure and control tactics in play). Many thanks for Gio and Ryan for my 5-star experience and I'm thrilled with my new vehicle! More

We were settled on a Forrester, however we were treated very poorly by Terry as it felt he just wanted to get a sale. From the sale to the run around with finance/pick up, it was stressful to say the least. We had been in the week before and dealt with Dale McIver and liked him alot, but he was out sick that weekend and we weren't able to wait. It is too bad, as we feel we would've gotten better service and experience with Dale. However, after the bad experience with Terry, we have had a great experience with all of the service advisors we have dealt with. All go out of their way to discuss the needs of the service and make sure we are informed. More

In the weekend, we test drove a couple different vehicles and decide to move forward with Subaru: the negotiation was smooth and straightforward, the paper work was all set when we step in their office, and we drove home a brand new Forester after we just paid a deposit, as our insurance pay cheque was not arrived yet! What a great relieve to us after the ugly accident, Thank you Giovanni, great job!!! Also thanks to Dylan, test driving with you was great, that's also help us made the decision easily. More
Great First-Car Experience This was my first car purchase as my previous vehicle was inherited from a family member, so I didn't really know where to start. I knew more or less what vehicle I was looking for but didn't know whether to finance or lease, the lease terms, etc. Dylan was a great help since walking into the Subaru dealership at getting me driving the vehicle I wanted to take a look at, giving advice about accessories, etc. Dylan was very friendly and it was evident that he is loyal to his customers which is the right attitude to have in this line of business. The manager we worked with was Ken who was super friendly and just wanted to give a good first-car purchase experience. Overall I would highly recommend Subaru Calgary as they actually do listen and help take care/guide you through the process for the right vehicle. More
