I asked a lot of questions and followed up a few times and he was always happy to help. John is very friendly and it never felt like he was selling me something but helping me make a good choice. WORST dealership experience I've ever had. The staff did not greet me at ALL and didn't not show me to a seating/waiting area. I was standing in the service garage waiting. I've NEVER had such poor service before and I've been to multiple dealerships before including Whitby Toyota, Kitchener Toyota, and Village Chrysler. All of these dealerships will always make sure that I'm seated, I know where I can get refreshments, and are overall very professional with greeting me and making sure that I'm taken care of. I did not realize how good the service was at these other dealerships until I went to pickering Toyota for the first time and was treated so poorly. The service receptionist, Ryan, did not even greet me and seemed like he didn't care to treat me properly because I did not have an appointment (came in to get a hub cap installed which I was told over the phone that I do not need an appointment for). I stood in the garage waiting to speak to the service manager, Amin Haji, who did not even shake my hand or greet me properly. I had to ask him where I should wait for him as he just started walking away from me as he went to go prepare a quote (I came in for the hub cap, and while I was there, my dad wanted me to get a quote from Amin for repairing something else). So I stood in the garage and waited. After providing the quote I spoke to Amin about the fact that I'm disappointed that a fairly new Toyota vehicle would have a hub cap fall off / dissapear. From previous experience at dealerships (I have a Jeep Wrangler and my Chrysler dealership is always very good with compensating me for anything I'm dissatisfied with), I expected some sort of compensation or at LEAST some empathy. But Amin claimed that this is "normal" and could happen to any make of car. I honestly expected more from Toyota considering we purchased the vehicle brand new from this exact dealership (my parents did - today was my first time going there and I will NEVER be going back to this horrible place!). More
