it was an easy transaction buying a car at northway ford. I was greeted by Molly immediatley upon arrival, without hesitation she brought my vehicle of interest to the front of the parking lot for me. In October of 2022 I test drove a black 2004 Ford Thunderbird. These cars are known for bad rear ends, and this one was no exception. I had it noted on the bill of sale to be replaced. I talked with the service manager, Joe Miceli, and he said that these cannot be repaired, but rather need to be entirely replaced with new, but may take a month to get one. Within days they told me the car is ready, as sceptical as I was I went to pick up the car. Salesman Brad Duarte said it had a new one replaced, but then when I climbed under the car it was clearly the original, rusty, dirty rear end….I took a photo of it. After pressing Brad for a while he admitted is wasn’t a new, but rather rebuilt. I questioned that as it would have been through a cleaning process and new gaskets and seals if it was rebuilt…again the photo shows an old and rusty rear end. They then offered me a discount on the car to take it as is, but for obvious reasons I no longer had any interest in buying it. Trying to get my deposit back meant I had to deal with sales manager Paul Tavernese…and what a piece of work this guy is. Absolutely no personality, rude, and threatening. They refuse to return my deposit. This 2004 Thunderbird is still for sale, and I’m assuming they can’t sell it because of this issue. If you purchased this car then I would like to hear from you. Legal action is in its early stages. Update: Since posting I was contacted by Rob(sales manager). Rob reached out to me and discussed my experience, he then returned my deposit. More
