Hello, Let us start by apologizing for all the inconveniences you faced at our dealership. It hurts us to see that your car buying experience, which should have been hassle-free and smooth was such a traumatic one. Your review was discussed with the higher management consisting of the Sales Managers, The General Manager (Brian Hoecht) and the Managing Director of the company. First of all, we would like to apologize on behalf of the Sales Manager Pedram for being rude and condescending to you. Neither you nor your boyfriend deserved to be treated the way you were. In all honestly of the fact, there is nothing we can currently do about the way he behaved with you other than learning from it and taking appropriate actions. So, shortly after this incident, the management reviewed Pedram’s actions and professional behavior and decided that it was in the best interest of the company to let him go. Again, we truly apologize on his behalf. Coming to the service issue, we always try to provide quick, easy, and efficient service; but sometimes due to technical issues we fail to deliver on that promise. Each vehicle is different from the other and each requires different parts and tools which might not always be in stock. We always do things the right way even if it takes a little extra bit of time and effort instead of doing it quickly but wrong. We understand that this is not an excuse for the inconvenience that was caused but this is something that isn’t in our control either and we apologize for it. Secondly, an oil change is only done when the vehicle has the oil change light on or the oil quality is not good during reconditioning quality check. If at the time of the safety inspection or pre-delivery check, the vehicle has good quality oil, then an oil change is not performed (this holds true for almost all dealerships) as that would be wasteful and unnecessary. This is also as per the guidelines of the Safety Inspection set by the government of Ontario. Even Ad-blue is added if vehicle indicates that it needs it (as it’s not measured with a stick like oil in the engine is), and if the vehicle doesn’t specify that it is low or requires it, then that is not added. As such, changing the engine oil when it is still good or adding extra ad/blue liquid when it’s not low at the time of inspection are not safety related, but are very much like filling up the gas tank all the way instead of half way (this is very much the standard practice carried by any shop). To sum it up, this has been as much of an unpleasant experience for us as it has been for you but we can honestly say that we’ve learned from it and are getting better and better with each passing day. We apologize yet again for all the troubles that you had to go through. We are not perfect, but we are working hard on serving our customers better as we learn from our mistakes and issues that arise. Drive Safe. Regards, Your Friends at North York Chrysler.
