The people and service in this dealership never disappointed I have began servicing my Honda in this dealership because it was close to my place of work and they provided shuttle to and from work when needed. Final price was ok according to online resources. After signing we were ushered off the showroom floor to a back room to endure a hard sell on paying for the extended warranty. If we had not just signed to buy and paid a deposit we would have/should have walked out. Ended with a bad experience. More
Terrible Service and Overcharged on Basic Maintenance I scheduled an appointment at 8;30AM a couple of Saturday's ago for the Maintenance B minder service. Upon entering the dealership, I was told there I scheduled an appointment at 8;30AM a couple of Saturday's ago for the Maintenance B minder service. Upon entering the dealership, I was told there were 11 cars scheduled ahead of me, but he did say I should get my car in a couple of hours. Long story short, I got a call at 11:30AM to upsell me tire balancing and alignment on tires that were only 1 season old, I had to ask for an ETA on my car, was told another 45 minutes. Fast forward to 1:20PM and no call back still, decided to call on my own, was told it was just finished and he would ask the shuttle driver to call me. I waited for almost 30 minutes with no call back and decided I didn't want to wait to get my car back the day after so I ordered an Uber. Over 5 hours for a job that should take 90 minutes tops? Why have an appointment system if it's not used. Even worse, I get my bill and it was 260$. I paid 230$ at Parkway Honda for the same service in April which also included a seasonal tire change. Never stepping foot in Markham Honda again. I'll drive the 30 minutes to go to Parkway Honda to be treated properly. More
Did not have very good follow up from the Honda Dealer. My experience with this Markham Honda Dealership was not one of the greatest experience I have ever had for the purchase of my vehicle. I was pushed i My experience with this Markham Honda Dealership was not one of the greatest experience I have ever had for the purchase of my vehicle. I was pushed into buying the used certified vehicle from Honda at a higher price than what was expected based on the model and year of the vehicle. It seems like the dealer just wanted to close the sale at any cost without even giving me a day extra to think about what I can pay based on my budget and affordability. Also I have been charged a higher rate of interest for the financing of this vehicle. Also till today I have not been provided the vehicle safety report which is mandatory for the dealer to provide to the purchaser. Also the dealer has till date falied to register my vehicle details with Honda by providing the necessary change of ownership. Due to this, till date I am unable to register my vehicle details using the VIN No. with the My.Honda.ca website and don't have any access to my loan details or the warranty details and other important details about my vehicle. Dealership was telling me that this applies only to purchase of brand new vehicles from Honda which is not true at all Also the dealer has charged me a lot, almost twice the amount from the market price for getting the tinting work done on my vehicle glasses. Even the tinting work has not been done to my full satisfaction. Also I was told that the vehicle comes fully loaded with everything but actually there are a lot of technical features which are not there in my vehicle and are missing. I am highly dis-appointed with my purchase of this vehicle and even now I am willing to return this vehicle back to the dealer to exchange it with a Newer model, may be a 2017 model with full features and fully loaded and with a much better pricing and better financing options and a reasonably good bi-weekly repayment option, one based on my budget and affordability. All in all, I am totally unhappy with the purchase of my vehicle from Markham Honda dealership. I rightfully feel that I should be compensated for the unpleasant shopping experience I have had with them and the overpricing done on my vehicle and also being forced into buying a vehicle not to my full satisfaction and at a much higher rate of interest for the financing done on my vehicle. Sales Trap and So-Called "Mandatory" Hidden Fees I would like to share my car buying experience at Markham Honda and hopefully the management can look into it and give me a satisfying solution. I I would like to share my car buying experience at Markham Honda and hopefully the management can look into it and give me a satisfying solution. I bought a certified pre-owned Accord last week and was asked to pay $895 for "dealership admin" which I later found out to be unreasonably high comparing with what most other dealerships would charge their customers. In addition, my financing contract automatically included an approximately $1000 "credit insurance for disability and life" in the total loan amount and the finance manager did not even disclose this insurance to me at the time of my loan application. At the time of signing the contract, the manager made it sound like the insurance is mandatory for getting the loan approved which now I found out to be totally wrong: lenders should never use the purchase of a credit insurance as a requirement for securing the loan. Neither of my sales representative and the finance manager even mentioned this automatically added insurance premium until I noticed the difference between the after-tax price of the car and the actual finance amount and pointed it out myself, like it would be a "free win" or an "added bonus" for them if I didn't notice it. As a first time car buyer I don't have a lot of experience dealing with all these sorts of traps and so-called "mandatory" fees. I expect this branch as a major and legitimate dealership in the Markham area would disclose all the details and options and not rip customers off by charging all these hidden and unreasonable fees which they make them sound mandatory to a customer. This makes a very bad image not only for Markham Honda but also the whole Honda Brand. I am very upset and unsatisfied with this experience and I would like to get a proper explanation and solution from Markham Honda and Honda Canada about these matters. I'm also filing a complaint to the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services about this issue. More
