Rotten apple (Mario Acevedo) in Kia Richmond In November 2015, My husband and I went in to KIA Richmond to look at a 2014 KIA Optima Hybrid EX Premium as advertised on Craigslist. After starting In November 2015, My husband and I went in to KIA Richmond to look at a 2014 KIA Optima Hybrid EX Premium as advertised on Craigslist. After starting the paperwork we were told that there had been a mistake as the car we were interested in was not available (although it is STILL being advertised on Craigslist!) We were offered the exact same car in a different colour which was a 'Manager's demo' vehicle and was represented to us, as a well maintained vehicle, only used by the Manager, this turned out to be untrue. We were also informed of a minor 'scrape' to the vehicle which had been so small that no claim had been processed through ICBC, also very untrue. After only one and a half months of ownership, my husband was the victim of a hit and run accident (December 29th) which caused serious damage to our vehicle and resulted in our car being written off by ICBC. At this time it came to our attention that our car had been in a SERIOUS accident previously that KIA did not disclose, and it was nowhere in our contract. After contacting ICBC, it was confirmed that our vehicle had, in fact been involved in an accident in June 2015 with damages totaling more than $8000. We were told that we were purchasing an essentially 'new' vehicle, and we most certainly would have never purchased a vehicle previously involved in a major accident. We paid over $17,000 in cash, two monthly payments came out of my account, and we also traded in our vehicle for $9,000, which brought us to over $27,000 paid to KIA. Due to the previous undisclosed accident our vehicle had been involved in, the value of the vehicle was less than what we had already paid out to KIA. ICBC issued a cheque in the amount of $19,000, leaving us with an $8,000 lost in a MONTH. KIA's Operations Manger Mario Acevedo promised to make this issue right with us and reimburse all money invested by us, as he admitted that he had been aware of the June 2015 accident. He put all of the blame onto our salesperson (Dusty,) claiming that Dusty had since been fired for ongoing unethical business dealings. Because our car had been an 'in house financing' agreement (essentially a lease to own) the cheque from ICBC was issued to KIA Richmond directly. Mario assured us that we would have the cheque shortly; however the weeks keep passing and we are being continually ignored and dismissed. No one will talk to us, phone calls are not being returned, and no updates are being given. We have been to the dealership at least 10 times this month with absolutely no resolution. They (Mario) has our cheque and refuses to pay us! They had begrudgingly provided us with a loaner vehicle with the promise that we could keep it until they issued us our cheque; however, after all this time has past, we made them aware that we had retained an attorney. THEY (Mario) CALLED THE POLICE AND REPORTED OUR LOANER VEHICLE STOLEN! Mario gave the police our address & in front of family, friends and neighbours, the police tried to arrest my husband. Luckily the police allowed us to explain... All of this because the Staff is poorly trained, the Management is crooked, and the owner, plus Mario Acevedo are greedy and deceitful. Please help us! I still can't believe it - I read my documents - they gave me an even better deal than when I got my Rio in 2012 More
Great Customer Service I had a very good experience at Kia Richmond. I was totally satisfied with the whole process and came out with a much better deal on my 2016 Sorrento I had a very good experience at Kia Richmond. I was totally satisfied with the whole process and came out with a much better deal on my 2016 Sorrento than I would have got at other dealers (I did my homework). I never felt like there was a hidden agenda on the dealer's end nor pressured as I experienced at other dealers. Patrick and Mario were both easy to deal with and knowledgeable and I felt went the extra mile to get my business. More

We were not having much success in getting the vehicle we wanted within our budget. Jenny Eliazian happened to pick up the phone one day when I had called to ask a question and that was the beginning of a wonderful experience that very quickly led to the purchase of a brand new 2016 Kia Soul EX at a fantastic price. We would encourage everyone in the market for a new or used vehicle to give Jenny a call!! More

Patrick is the Man! Bought a Forte5 with Patrick's help, it went fairly smooth, and the free Fortune Cookies didn't hurt either. Will def recommend him to friends. Try to help you get what you really want. First time purchasing the car, and everything from visiting to test drive to contract to driving the car home was completed in 4 days. Although there was an issue with the new car, Patrick tried hard to find a way to compensate that. Patrick is pleasant to deal with, knows what he's doing and follows up whenever appropriate. Andrewin in Finance was very helpful and went beyond his duties as well. More
Best service ever. Phoned the Service Department late Saturday afternoon to ask for help with a shattered driver's window. Was informed by Harry that if we could get there before 6 pm he could help us out by putting the 2015 Kia Soul in their shop over the weekend to protect it and would arrange for a loaner. I should mention, it was raining heavily? We mentioned it would be impossible to make it in time so he offered his personal cellular number. and said to call him at home and he would meet us at the Service Centre on Sunday even though it was closed and it was his day off. We called Sunday noon, he met us and made arrangements for the car to be repaired on Monday and gave us a choice of loaner to use. When we mentioned there were a couple of little scratches here and there and we needed a little touch-up paint bottle he offered to do it for us. He was more than accommodating and most affable. What a great ambassador for this dealership and brand. I'd buy my next vehicle and definitely will get all my service work done at Richmond Kia. Thank you Harry. More

She was very frendly, genuine and attentive to my needs and priorities. Got a 2012 Kia Optima. She also made sure the rest of the process ,including the finance and getting a good deal was seamless. Awesome experience for a first time car buyer. After looking for my first car for several months, I came across Kia Richmond's posting for the car I was looking for by chance. I went there on a whi After looking for my first car for several months, I came across Kia Richmond's posting for the car I was looking for by chance. I went there on a whim and it was by far the best experience I had had thus far. I had looked at 3 other 2008 Volkswagen Golf's, and this one was by far in the best condition. The people I associated with at Kia Richmond were very friendly, accommodating, transparent and I felt the most at ease here than any of the other dealerships or private sales I had been to. Over all, it was a very pleasant experience, and I'm glad that I found the right place and the right people to help me find what I wanted. More
