Kelowna BMW had a used Acura MDX for sale when I was 6 months pregnant with my third child. It was the exact car we were looking for and couldn't find another one locally so we jumped on it, even though i months pregnant with my third child. It was the exact car we were looking for and couldn't find another one locally so we jumped on it, even though it was priced too high ($3,000 over a similar vehicle in Vancouver). We were told that the tires were fine, just expensive, high performance tires when my husband commented that they needed to be replaced. We were never shown where the key to the locking lug nuts were, the wireless headphones, or anything else. Within a week we noticed something was seriously wrong with the suspension, but we were too scared to look into it further. At this time white little dog hairs started coming out of EVERYWHERE! They were flying into my kids faces when we turned the fan on! We washed the car twice and discovered that the decent condition of the paint on the car was a joke...this car looked like it was driven through thick brush- repeatedly! We had the car 3 months when I brought it to my mechanic. The rear shocks were leaking, tires were almost bald, and the front right wheel had some severe problem- but we couldn't get the wheel off without the key- so we called Kelowna BMW. Apparently they had noted the leaking shocks on their inspection report... but thought they would sell it as is (shocks are over $1,000 a piece). I talked to Ryan Wicks, he didn't seem to think that replacing the rear shocks would help, but if I wanted to do it, they would give me a discount on labour and only charge me cost on the shocks (which he priced over $200 higher than true cost). He blamed the tire wear on the fact that I had put 8,ooo kms on the vehicle. Apparently tires wear 30% in 8,000 kms in his world. I brought my car in to the service department and everyone there completely ignored me while I stood there waiting for help with my very upset baby. They had my car 5 hours and hadn't taken it for a test drive yet when I tried to pick it up. When I complained to Ryan, he blamed my for bringing it in when he was on holidays. He is a condescending sales person that should never be allowed to represent a company when dealing with clients. Every time I got off the phone with him I was shaking and near tears. I took my car into Acura for them to look at it, and I was told not to drive in the rain with my tires the way they were. My front strut was shot, and my rear shocks were leaking very badly. I was looking at a $8,000 repair bill.Minimum. This car has caused me more stress, lost sleep and aggravation than any other factor in my life (and I have 3 kids under the age of 4!) I have now had the car 8 months and the rear shocks are completely shot, my tires are bald, the car smells like mould if it isn't driven for a day, the paint looks like xxxx, and I'm very angry. Interestingly, I have since learned that this dealership has a horrendous reputation and the well-to-do in our community usually go to Vancouver to buy a BMW in order to avoid Kelowna BMW. More
Sold a worn out car to me, I was told the car had been inspected and passed with flying colors, Soon after I had to replace the transmission, injectors, clutch, clutch master cylinder, pressure plate, bra inspected and passed with flying colors, Soon after I had to replace the transmission, injectors, clutch, clutch master cylinder, pressure plate, brake pads, and other internal parts. Very bad service from the General Manager... I pursued the problem with him and he said " There's nothing I can do for you, that's how business works, please leave". Needless to say Jessel BMW will now get not only all my business but my friends as well. Worst business people I've ever met, but I came out of that situation a lot smarter and will be more prepared next time incase this happens again. They were friendly at first. Until they got thier money Horrible More
Salesman Trevor Lessard was very gung ho to get the sale did everything he could to get us to sign the paperwork and then that was it he didnt have the time of day for us after that. Even at time of d sale did everything he could to get us to sign the paperwork and then that was it he didnt have the time of day for us after that. Even at time of delivery he was to busy with other "customers to show us about our new car" he said " oh your old car was a MINI you know how it works handed me the key and walked away. He gave us a list of the cars features verbally and even in writing and when we got the car home it was missing many features he said it had. The car was dirty inside even know we purchased the interior and exterior paint protection package for $$$$ you think they would of ran a vacuum through the car. We made the deal a week before we picked up the car so they had plenty of time to get it ready for us to pick up as we were coming from out of town. and ended sitting in their lounge for over 4 hours whyle the ran around like chickens with their heads cut of doing the final detail work to the car. Buisnes Manager Gary Smedly is usually pretty good to deal with from our past experience but this time he totally dropped the ball. he was not there at the time of delivery so " briefed" a sales person to do the final paperwork with me and i pretty much had to walk him through it. And in the end it was not done properly payments that were to be cancelled from our trade in kept coming out of the account. After calling gary he decided to cut us a check to re pay us the money that they shouldn't of taken from our account " which we needed to pay our rent" he said he would over night it to us but find out that his secretary wasn't in so it got held up a day " is he unable to fill out a purolator waybill ???" We took delivery of the car only to fin that the navigation system was not activated it need some sort of code to unlock it. so it was useless again something they could of done in that week before we came to pick it up. We got home from driving our new 45k car home only to find the next morning a check engine light came on. Great sign Called to talk to our sales man about the check engine light and missing features and locked nav system he said he would deal with it... by this time i was very angry and frustrated so i TOOK time off work to drive back and give it to them to sort out only to find out our salesman wasnt going to deal with us anymore. so left it to the business manager to deal with. we got the car back and was reassured all was up to snuff yes the nav was now working but other features and updates i asked to be done were not done. Now im sitting again waiting for the check to come by currier which i dont even know is coming because gary will not answer my phone calls on his cellphone or his office line. they appear to be fed up with this and SO ARE WE HORRIBLE dealership , bad salesmen , bad service , broken promises, bad attitudes, lack of product knowledge, lack of communication between staff and customer.. I will not be referring friends or family to this dealership nor will i return there for ANY service or to do business with them again and i highly recommend you don't either unless you like to be treated like this. Numerous terrible experiences on two different vehicles, a BMW and a Mini. Last quote to repair a power steering fan included $70 in shop supplies! Would never recommend. Very unprofessional customer servic a BMW and a Mini. Last quote to repair a power steering fan included $70 in shop supplies! Would never recommend. Very unprofessional customer service, written quotes were scribbled all over and proper estimates could never be provided. After asking for a proper estimate, the service advisor proceeded to tell me that I was "testing him, and couldn't believe that "I" didn't believe him". After this, the best he could do was another list of parts with labor and some other numbers scribbled on it to be the 'official' estimate. Previously brought my car in (over a year ago) for a coolant leak. This issues took them over 1 year to resolve (8 shop visits) and they found a small dent on the bottom of my radiator which they then proceeded to tell me that I had done this by driving over rebar EVEN though there was zero damage to the underside of my car. Its very magical. I would highly recommend taking your car to another service center. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Although they do provide a nice car wash after your service. It's hand dried. More
