I don’t get my vehicle serviced at the dealership. I have a wonderful local garage that provides trustworthy service. I was at the dealership for a recall appt. and within 3 minutes of leaving my car I got a wonderful local garage that provides trustworthy service. I was at the dealership for a recall appt. and within 3 minutes of leaving my car I got a call from the service rep telling me my wheels were out of alignment. Why was this the first priority when the recall was a wiring issue? For the sole purpose of making money, that’s why. Searching for more problems with your vehicle is how they make money. This is exactly why I don’t trust staff at dealerships and I dread walking into one. If the alignment is in fact an issue, my neighbourhood garage will take care of it, thank you. In addition, when I picked up my vehicle, the service rep simply told me it was done without offering any explanation. While he was locating my car in the lot, I looked over the service printout and it said the recall was not applicable.... so they did nothing and he didn’t bother to tell me? When I asked for an explanation he said all they did today was check the recall and found it wasn’t needed. Then why did this same service rep tell me at my appt LAST WEEK that it didn’t pass the test and I would need to book another appt to have the work done?? Yes, I’m very frustrated after wasting two afternoons at the dealership. Honest communication and less sales pressure would improve your service. More
