Normally I give this dealership a pretty good rating. Most of the people are really quite friendly, but I had a pretty bad experience with my last visit(s). First, when I booked my appointment for an oil change, I was not informed that my car had other services that needed to be done at that kilometre mark until after the oil change was done. That meant I had to make another appointment and take more time off work (and as it turns out, because my check engine light came on after the service, I now need a third trip to the dealership). Also, according to the inspection sheet from my oil change, all four tires were pumped up to 32 psi. I noticed my tire looked a bit low after leaving and checked the pressure myself; 15 psi. On top of that, my tire cap was not replaced and now my back tire extension tube is seized in place (I don't know if this was Hyundai, or just rust, but if it wasn't them, that means they couldn't have even checked the tire pressure in that tire). Come on Hyundai! I am paying you top dollar to do some pretty basic work. My one experience taking my car to Mr. Lube while away from the area is making me realize that being able to see the mechanics at work has it's advantages, mainly I know they are actually doing the work. If you don't want to actually put air in the tires or do anything else on your checklist, then don't, but don't lie to me about it and then charge me for the 'service'. And while I am here, I've asked to have my address changed 3 times since buying my car 1.5 years ago, and I noticed on my bill this morning, that has not happened. More
Had a very positive experience with Allan. He clearly explained the features of the car, and was patient in obtaining different pricing options for me. Sev and Derek were both very approachable and friendly. As always, it is clear that your employees work on commission by the sales pressure (even after I decided to go forward with the Hyundai, there was pressure in the insurance/warranty additional options...this lowered my "overall experience"). My experience in this area with Allan, once again, was great (hence my customer service/work experience rating of 5). Spending time at other dealerships in the search process, he was comparatively much less aggressive and made the experience more comfortable for me. More

We purchased a Hyundai remote starter now that it is available for our new "smart key" 2013 SF Sport Ltd (purchased last July at Guelph Hyundai), and the service department answered honest questions to available for our new "smart key" 2013 SF Sport Ltd (purchased last July at Guelph Hyundai), and the service department answered honest questions to help me decide whether it was worth the money to have their service department install the unit, or if I should do it myself (have installed similar in other vehicles before). I chose to proceed with having them do it, and at the same time had a rattle that we noticed in our dash when the car was cold repaired under warranty. The work was done in the timeframe promised and at the cost agreed on...they even washed the car for us. Altogether, great service, will not hesitate to use their service department again soon, and will definitely recommend to others. Thanks Dan and Travis :) More

While there, Margaret was available and explained options for extended warranty plans as my vehicle is approaching end of manufacturer warranty without making me feel as if I interrupted her. Overall, I've found this dealership (service department) to be friendly, professional and extremely patient, all of which is very much appreciated by those of us with limited mechanical understanding. I'll start out by saying I will be back for my next service. However I was in for an scheduled oil change with a booked appointment time of 10am and it took approximately 2 hours which seemed outrageou service. However I was in for an scheduled oil change with a booked appointment time of 10am and it took approximately 2 hours which seemed outrageous given that I've had 15 minute oil changes in my life. I would think this is maybe a one time thing however this was only the second time I've been in for an oil change and the other time was about 90 minutes. I get that it may take a bit longer for various reasons but this seemed very extreme. Besides that everything was good. More

I find the staff very friendly and accommodating when my vehicle needs service. I really appreciate the explanations of the work required and the maintenance that can be deferred for another visit. The service department at Guelph Hyundai is definitely one of the factors in my decision to purchase another Elantra and why I recommended the dealership to my daughter when she was car shopping.
