My 2017 Elantra was recently plagued by the engine light coming on and off with engine vibration due to apparent mis-firing. Guelph Hyundai initially provided a software update, but the mis-fire re-occurred coming on and off with engine vibration due to apparent mis-firing. Guelph Hyundai initially provided a software update, but the mis-fire re-occurred later. Their diagnosis required a live mis-fire code and so I left the car with them for service and graciously accepted a loaner vehicle instead. I really appreciate having the loaner vehicle as I needed to travel quite a bit during the week the car remained with them. So having diagnosed a live misfire code, only the 4- ignition coils were recommended to be replaced. Also, a scan of the charging system found that my original battery needed to be replaced. The remedial work was performed in good time, all work was thoroughly discussed before being done, and I thank the staff for their attention and support. The car runs very well, so far so good! More
