Rude Salesman I recently visited Gorruds with my mother looking to purchase a used vehicle. We looked around the lot on our own for about 45 minutes before we were I recently visited Gorruds with my mother looking to purchase a used vehicle. We looked around the lot on our own for about 45 minutes before we were approached by Ziggy. He asked us what we were looking for and we were very clear about not knowing exactly what vehicle we wanted and that we were looking at a few different ones. He took us into his office and we picked out three Toyotas to test drive. During the first two test drives Ziggy was sweet as pie, telling us about his daughters and cottage. When we returned from the second test drive he left us in his office and went to find the third car. After about 10 minutes he came back in and said the third car that we had wanted to look at had been sold. We then requested to look at a Mazda that they had on the lot instead. His response was "Listen Ladies, I don't have time for this. I have other customers and you need to make up your mind". He refused to show us any more vehicles despite the fact that we were going to test drive a third vehicle anyway. It is beyond unreasonable to expect someone to make a decision and sign paperwork after viewing only two vehicles and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Gorruds has a good selection with average prices but I would avoid dealing with Ziggy. More

As my existing vehicle was making more noises than I could keep up with, my eldest son and I decided to go in together. We received a lovely greeting, and were turned over to Ron Marlow. Ron was very kind, and extremely helpful, and found us an amazing car that my two sons and I just love! Kevin Ryan in financing was equally amazing and kind as well, making sure all was good with the financial aspect of buying a vehicle. It was a wonderful, comfortable experience. Excellent Experience Purchasing at Gorrud's We're from Barrie, ON and had never heard of Gorrud's until I discovered an add they had posted on Auto Trader. My wife and I knew exactly what we we We're from Barrie, ON and had never heard of Gorrud's until I discovered an add they had posted on Auto Trader. My wife and I knew exactly what we were shopping for and our budget, we were pleased to find Gorrud's had a low km 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited listed at a competitive price which sparked our initial interest. From here I researched the car on Gorrud's website which had a fully detailed listing for the car complete with their own comments on it and plenty of photos to help instill confidence in our potential purchase. My call was answered by Ron Marlow who was very helpful and took the time to speak with me in detail about the car and the dealership on the phone. When I hung-up I told my wife even if we don't buy this particular car, I want to buy from these guys... they gave me the warm and fuzzy feeling, not the cold stealership feeling you're used to experiencing (other dealers would barely give me the time of day and say "come on in to the dealership and we can talk" even though I'm from out of town). After speaking with Ron, Mike Jurj had followed up with an email I sent in regards to the car. Again we found Mike to be extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Mike told me about the car and dealership for as long as I wanted to talk about it while not rushing me one bit. From here we arranged a test-drive and put down a deposit through email to hold the car until we could make it down (this was a big benefit of dealing with Mike, he was up to speed with modern technology). We had a great experience at the dealership test driving the car, Mike had everything arranged so that all we really had to do was show up and jump in the car. The car was exactly as described in the ad and from Mike's review of it. We said we would take it and had to come back down in a couple days for final delivery. During our whole experience with Gorrud's we had to deal with only two people. First was the saleman (Mike) and then once the deal was complete we were passed to the finance lady (Marry). We only had to spend about 20mins with Marry since she was quick, concise and organized with the process which we greatly appreciated. She was a bit pushy with trying to sell us the extra warranties and rust/paint protection packages, there was almost a bit of fear mongering going on. Unfortunately it's part of her job and she does it well, but I like to have to say "no" only once when I don't want something. Again, it's just part of her job and otherwise she is pleasant to deal/speak with. We will certainly recommend Gorrud's to our friends and family for purchases and hope to return ourselves in the future. We have no service experience with them yet so I cannot comment on that. More
