Hi Christy, Enzo emailed me last week about my disappointing review. He said he is ordering the parts (which are back order) to adjust the stuck latch that they have been trying to fix for months. I told him that my stupid seat is still stuck in the down position that has cause all sorts of inconvenience whenever i want to take more than 2 adults anywhere. I don;t even want to go back to see if they can get it back up. As far as the tire goes, he said he was going to offer me 2 new tires and give me a discount on the other 4. I didn't respond to his offer because i just want them to fix the latch. At this point I will gladly buy 4 new tires at the local tire shop where i bought my 4 new winter tires/rims and another full set for my wifes car. Enzo didn't address my comment that his staff physically inspected my tires several times and actually removed them on one occasion when i was complaining about some road noise. the mechanic first commented that there was nothing, then said there was something and found a 'nick' but the tiers were safe, then told Enzo that 'there was nothing wrong'. ..... So the whole tire thing is a separate issue that i just don't want to deal with at this moment. i told Enzo that i have lost all confidence in his service department and will more than likely try another place. i think i have some free oil changes that i will never use and will gladly pay for my own oil changes if it means that i have some piece of mind and don;t have to go back. Just so disappointed and frustrated, just writing this is getting me worked up. Not sure what else I can add in a separate email.

got the parts replaced for my seat latch on Oct 21st. i didn't even test the latch yet .. paranoid it wont work and i will be stuck with a seat in the down position again. I will put the seat down today and see if its fixed. as far as the tire situation goes, Enzo told me that he was willing to replace one tire on warranty and offer another free one. As it stands right now, I'm pretty sure I'll just go to the same place in town for some new tires in the spring. I am disappointed that I have specifically complained about road noise from day one. His mechanics apparently inspected my wheels 2 times and removed them at least once. The mechanic even said he noticed a 'nick' but the wheels are safe. They did not notice the repair on the side of the wheel and the excessive wheel weights. It annoys me that Enzo defended his guys by stating that the tire repair blended in'. Then there is the issue that multiple tires had more than 3 weights and one even had 6. most of them were opposing one another making them practically useless. Enzo's comment was that he wasn't sure "what the issue was with the wheel weights". It seems to me this place is used to performing obvious warranty work that doesn't require any real diagnostic skills. I understand mistakes happen, but being defensive your way through it isn't helpful. Enzo then had some negative comments about the local shops despite the fact that i mentioned the negative feedback was from previous customers and the shop commented on the work, not the dealership. I'm pretty sure i will try my luck at another KIA dealership and just get my maintenance done at the local shops. I have already purchased 2 full sets of winter tires, roof rack crossbars and rooftop carrier from else where.

I emailed you folks as requested, but wanted to provide an update on my latch since i'm not sure if you saw my email. Here's what i emailed Enzo; "I’ve been using the seat latch for the past few days and wanted to let you know that its working. It seems a bit ‘stickier’ and definitely nothing like the driver side. It jams the odd time, a bit of wiggling gets it unstuck. As long as it doesn’t get permanently stuck, I don’t care. Your team has spent more than enough time working on it and I’ll just assume this is the best it will get. Just a fyi,, odd that the headrest for that seat was on backwards." I do not plan on changing my review rating and will try my luck somewhere else when the latch eventually fails or gets permanently stuck.

Ended up getting my local mechanic take a look at the seat latch since it wasn't operating like the latch on th drivers side. After what he called a 'minor adjustment" things have worked for the past few weeks.Fingers crossed. never heard back from the Dealerrater staff after sending an email as per their request. had to bring my SUV back for yet another issue that the staff repaired. i really hope I'm done bringing the Sorento in for service. I can't imagine that all Kia Sorentos require constant maintenance or if irs due to it being a used vehicle.
