Ok, so here is the quick review. Jason and Freedom Ford were great, buy a car from them. For those looking for a more in depth review, here is it. My fiance and I decided it was time to purchase a new were great, buy a car from them. For those looking for a more in depth review, here is it. My fiance and I decided it was time to purchase a new to us car in March 2013. So we set out on the ever dreaded quest to search out the perfect car for the perfect price. We ended up deciding on the Focus, and found one that seemed to fit our needs. So we emailed that dealership (Kentwood Ford), got a quote back from them saying they could sell us the vehicle for the price we wanted, and wanted us to come in. Well that all sounded great, so we set off for the hour long drive into town to meet up with these people and buy the car. Well that 'great' feeling didn't last to long after getting to the dealership. Right off the hop we get the whole "oh I'm so sorry, but my manager said I can't actually do the price I quoted you" BS. Then we get the run around that they can do it for $500 more then they originally said. But wait there's more... then for some reason the car isn't actually there to look at, but they do by the grace of god I'm sure, just happen to have another car that would fit us, but its unfortunately $2000 more then we wanted to spend. Once again, no problem there, as they can get us the payment we wanted on that car too, it will just take us 9 years to pay it off, no big deal right? (In case it wasn't obvious this paragraph is dripping with sarcasm.) So as you can imagine, like any smart couple would do we just got up and left that whole scenario; and it left a bad taste in our mouths. So once again we were back to the drawing boards. Within a couple days I was able to find another car that fit what we were looking for. So off we went again, except this time it was to Freedom Ford. After setting up a meeting time we ended up coming down to see the Focus they had available. It was parked out front waiting for us to arrive! It was very nice to see that they not only had the vehicle on the lot, but were polite enough to bring it up for us. But the skeptic and cynic in me were still not convinced, "I mean who knows, maybe this is all to pull the wool over our eyes". Well we took the car for a test drive, and loved it! So we went in and sat down with Jason to talk numbers. I had my game face on for this part, and was ready for your average 'car dealer' battle royal, but there was none of that. He laid the numbers out to us, explained every charge thoroughly, and made sure that we totally understood and thought everything was fair. To be honest it was actually a little hard for me to get through all that because I didn't know what to say with it all being so up front and what not... Ok, so for length's sake we will skip through some of the story, and come to where we bough the car and it was the right car, for the right price, with no normal car sales BS. The financing was fair, and there was no added on numbers we were not told about prior. The whole process was open, honest and fair! Now here is the part that make the whole experience even better. I held off on writing a review about my car till I had owned it for a couple months. Well to be honest the car started acting up a little, about 2 months after buying it, and with no warranty left it was going to hurt the pocket book to get the problems fixed. So as you can imagine once again, I was irate! "Did they sell me a lemon" I thought to myself? Well needless to say I wrote a pretty angry letter to Jason about it, and much to the surprise of my cynical self, he got back to me right away. But not with the normal "oh there is nothing we can do, it is out of warranty bla bla bla" that you normally hear, nope, instead he was very apologetic to our situation, and rather then just pass us off to service, he made a personal effort to work with his manager (another very helpful and polite gentlemen) to have the repairs paid for in full, and done asap. Well that settled it. Freedom Ford really is 1 of a kind for a fair and helpful sales experience, and also for after purchase customer care. I was very very pleased with the service and kindness we received there, and would be more then happy to send any of my family and friends to them in the future. If you are looking for a great honest approach to sales, then give Freedom and Jason a call, even the cynic in me is a convert now. :) Morgan More
Another positive experience at Freedom Ford! It was a comfortable and relaxed meeting, and test drive. I bought the car for my daughter. Wilf was great every step of the way! My wife had requested myself to find her a used SUV and since we had a previous Explorer (1996) I suggested we go this route again. During the past week I sent out over a dozen emails responding to adds (private/business) as well as requesting further information on 2004-2007 Explorers. I had two replies in less than 4 hrs, one from Freedom Ford-Andre Jespersen re: 2005 Silver Ford Explorer. We responded by email for several hrs and eventually ended up going down to see the SUV. When I first saw the used Explorer I was very impressed as to overall condition and low kms-exactly what we were looking for. Andre not only responded promptly to my inquiry (internet response) into the SUV on Freedom's lot but spoke the truth on the history, condition, car fax, and price. NO games! Period. We took a test drive and I was very satisfied with the used Explorer from Freedom Ford. I had one other 2006 Eddie Bauer to view later that day (cheaper price but white) but it was ultimately my wife's choice on color, options and price. After deliberating on both vehicles, Andre offered a remote starter which was a request of my wife's since residing in Slave Lake. The decision was made by both my wife and I to go ahead and purchase from Freedom Ford based on Salesman (Andre), condition of used SUV, mechanical history and the absolute friendliest bunch of guys I have ever met on a car lot! It goes farther yet, Andre came and picked me up (2013 Explorer) at the hotel across town and brought me to Freedom to drive the SUV back to the hotel. The plate went on and then I noticed Andre had also filled the fuel tank!! FULL! What more can you ask for from buying a used vehicle? Great guy (Andre), easy to talk to, no pressure sales tactics and xxxx good customer service! We found the make, year, color, and options of target vehicle on line and called for an appointment. Ron and I texted back and forth the details and information that I needed including info for the deal vehicle on line and called for an appointment. They were honest and confident that they could supply us the vehicle we were looking for at the price limit we needed. Credit check was initiated quickly over the phone.
