This was my first new car buying experience and I have to say it could not have been more straight forward and relaxed. I came in knowing that I wanted a 2013 Focus ST loaded and Don made sure the Tangerine say it could not have been more straight forward and relaxed. I came in knowing that I wanted a 2013 Focus ST loaded and Don made sure the Tangerine Scream model available was mine. He took me for a couple test drives with no hesitation to begin with, made sure every aspect of the car was top notch and that I understood its benefits. He is a pleasant man to chat to and great to deal with. The actual transaction process took very little time and I am very happy with the deal I received. We worked through the paperwork quickly and sent it off to Tim (business manager) at finance. As I waited for financing approval Tim, Don and another gentleman kept me updated and excited about my purchase. I was chatted with on a regular basis and reassured I was making the a great purchase (although I already knew that). Don and Tim made me feel confident that I would be approved for the 0% finance being offered and I was without issue. The lounge area and the rest of the dealership is comfortable and nice to wait in. After the financing came back approved and my insurance came in the general manager signed off on me taking the car home the same day and allowing me to do my own first clean (bonding process). Don walked me around the parts and servicing department, introduced me to one of the servicing reps who was my contact and made sure I was aware of everything the Freedom had to offer. Don was thorough in showing me through my new Focus ST and explaining the documentation and other features provided with the car. Service was beyond our expectations! Jason drove 2 hours after work to our trailer, in a stormy and rainy night, to deliver our car to us! I stopped at Freedom Ford after seeing a used truck on their website that I was interested in for my son. I found that their prices were very good (we had been searching for some time and was aware of the selling price of this type of vehicle) and there was absolutely no pressure put on us. I believe Wilf genuinely wanted to ensure that it was the right vehicle for us and we ended up buying the truck. It has been great and we felt very confident in making our purchase because we felt we had been given all of the information we needed. We also met Kyle Blazenko, the used car sales manager, and he to was very helpful and friendly. Ok, so here is the quick review. Jason and Freedom Ford were great, buy a car from them. For those looking for a more in depth review, here is it. My fiance and I decided it was time to purchase a new were great, buy a car from them. For those looking for a more in depth review, here is it. My fiance and I decided it was time to purchase a new to us car in March 2013. So we set out on the ever dreaded quest to search out the perfect car for the perfect price. We ended up deciding on the Focus, and found one that seemed to fit our needs. So we emailed that dealership (Kentwood Ford), got a quote back from them saying they could sell us the vehicle for the price we wanted, and wanted us to come in. Well that all sounded great, so we set off for the hour long drive into town to meet up with these people and buy the car. Well that 'great' feeling didn't last to long after getting to the dealership. Right off the hop we get the whole "oh I'm so sorry, but my manager said I can't actually do the price I quoted you" BS. Then we get the run around that they can do it for $500 more then they originally said. But wait there's more... then for some reason the car isn't actually there to look at, but they do by the grace of god I'm sure, just happen to have another car that would fit us, but its unfortunately $2000 more then we wanted to spend. Once again, no problem there, as they can get us the payment we wanted on that car too, it will just take us 9 years to pay it off, no big deal right? (In case it wasn't obvious this paragraph is dripping with sarcasm.) So as you can imagine, like any smart couple would do we just got up and left that whole scenario; and it left a bad taste in our mouths. So once again we were back to the drawing boards. Within a couple days I was able to find another car that fit what we were looking for. So off we went again, except this time it was to Freedom Ford. After setting up a meeting time we ended up coming down to see the Focus they had available. It was parked out front waiting for us to arrive! It was very nice to see that they not only had the vehicle on the lot, but were polite enough to bring it up for us. But the skeptic and cynic in me were still not convinced, "I mean who knows, maybe this is all to pull the wool over our eyes". Well we took the car for a test drive, and loved it! So we went in and sat down with Jason to talk numbers. I had my game face on for this part, and was ready for your average 'car dealer' battle royal, but there was none of that. He laid the numbers out to us, explained every charge thoroughly, and made sure that we totally understood and thought everything was fair. To be honest it was actually a little hard for me to get through all that because I didn't know what to say with it all being so up front and what not... Ok, so for length's sake we will skip through some of the story, and come to where we bough the car and it was the right car, for the right price, with no normal car sales BS. The financing was fair, and there was no added on numbers we were not told about prior. The whole process was open, honest and fair! Now here is the part that make the whole experience even better. I held off on writing a review about my car till I had owned it for a couple months. Well to be honest the car started acting up a little, about 2 months after buying it, and with no warranty left it was going to hurt the pocket book to get the problems fixed. So as you can imagine once again, I was irate! "Did they sell me a lemon" I thought to myself? Well needless to say I wrote a pretty angry letter to Jason about it, and much to the surprise of my cynical self, he got back to me right away. But not with the normal "oh there is nothing we can do, it is out of warranty bla bla bla" that you normally hear, nope, instead he was very apologetic to our situation, and rather then just pass us off to service, he made a personal effort to work with his manager (another very helpful and polite gentlemen) to have the repairs paid for in full, and done asap. Well that settled it. Freedom Ford really is 1 of a kind for a fair and helpful sales experience, and also for after purchase customer care. I was very very pleased with the service and kindness we received there, and would be more then happy to send any of my family and friends to them in the future. If you are looking for a great honest approach to sales, then give Freedom and Jason a call, even the cynic in me is a convert now. :) Morgan More
