RE LAST VISIT Had brought my 2011 Escape in for a steering problem and after I got my estimate of $1600.00 I was a little shocked as the steering coloum needed to Had brought my 2011 Escape in for a steering problem and after I got my estimate of $1600.00 I was a little shocked as the steering coloum needed to be replaced at only 125,000 kms.. I started to do some digging and found out this was a problem for the Escape yet Ford Canada will not do anything for me but has given other people up to 50% off the bill because of this. This has nothing to do with your Dealership but it has left a very sour taste in my mouth with the Ford product to the point when I needed to buy 45 new trucks for my work I went and put orders in for Chev trucks all 1 tons. The lady that I dealt with on the Service counter was really nice and understood my complaint about the coloum and explained her hands where tied but again that is not her fault she was just doing her job and I would not yell at her for doing her job. Oh and one more thing once I got the truck back I had to send it out to get my remote starter fixed as the tech at ford unplugged it and did not re plug it in. So my wife took it in and they had to go over it to find this out that cost me $98.00 more. More

Attempted Robbery Truck @ 112000 Kms. Engine light on. Diagnosis: timing chain and a wide variety of fluid leaks. Total est. $ 5,700. First problem: 112 km for a timing Truck @ 112000 Kms. Engine light on. Diagnosis: timing chain and a wide variety of fluid leaks. Total est. $ 5,700. First problem: 112 km for a timing chain is hard to believe. This says to me that the engine has an inherent flaw or the timing chain has a manufactures defect. Either way I shouldn't be paying for a timing chain at 112000 kms. Second problem: I park this truck in a clean garage. There's never been a drop of any kind of fluid on the floor of my garage to date. If there are all these leaks, how is this possible ? The fluid levels are never down. It cost $165 to get the codes read. That, considering the amount of effort and time involved is not a good value. This entire estimate looks like a attempt to drum up business in a probably very slow shop, Unfortunately, this is being done at great expense to myself. I had them remove the code and if and when I get a check engine light again I will be taking it to another dealership for a second opinion . That will be the litmus test which will tell me the level of integrity at your dealership. I suspect Freedom Ford will not fair well in this regard . I suspect that all the fluid leaks diagnose exaggerated or fictional. I, and the rest of the members of my company, who drive a lot of Fords,will not be back. More
