Poor Sales Experience (MINI) Terrible customer experience shopping for a Mini Cooper S at Edmonton MINI. It took 15 minutes before we were approached and nearly an hour before Terrible customer experience shopping for a Mini Cooper S at Edmonton MINI. It took 15 minutes before we were approached and nearly an hour before we were able to test drive a vehicle. The salesman we dealt with used very old school high pressure sales tactics that lack transparency and left us feeling like we couldn't trust anything he said. He steered us through a long and drawn out process that took nearly 2 hours and in the end, they sent us away without so much as a price sheet. We are very serious buyers that simply want to gather some pricing information so that we can make our decision and they basically turned us away because we refused to do it their way. It's shocking to me that they would be willing to turn away business in this kind of economy. This experience was especially bad compared to our experience at others dealerships where the sales teams were up front, allowed us to steer the conversation, and made us feel completely at ease. Read on for some examples of why the experience was so terrible.. - there was a single line item called "dealer charges" that added up to nearly 5k in addition to the $495 admin fee. he was willing to break down those charges for us, but he didn't point it out to us which showed a lack of transparency. other dealerships have been very upfront about these types of fees. - invoice also included a separate line item for Freight and PDI in addition to the MSRP. We mentioned that the official website indicates that the MSRP already includes Freight and PDI, and he gave us a bunch of explanations for why we were wrong. we confirmed that he was lying to us when we got home. - we explained that we were serious about buying a car within the next couple months and were deciding between a MINI and a VW and wanted to negotiate a buying price so that we could make an informed decision. salesman explained they cannot just give us a "best price" and that they needed us to make an offer to bring to their sales manager, so we made an offer. He asked us to sign as a commitment to buy and when we refused, they took away the price sheet they previously provided and the sales manager came by to tell us to "have a nice day" and that they would be happy to help us when we are serious about buying. - We didn't really want to talk about trading in our vehicle but the salesman guided the conversation in that direction by going ahead and starting the paperwork without asking us if that was okay -- it felt very coerced. They asked for the keys to take a look inside the vehicle while we waited; they did not make it clear to us that they would be test driving it without our presence More
X3 just died but Edm BMW brought it back to life From the moment I arrived at the dealership with my X3 on the back of a tow truck, Carmen Herreros approached me with a smile and ushered me promptly From the moment I arrived at the dealership with my X3 on the back of a tow truck, Carmen Herreros approached me with a smile and ushered me promptly to her office. Being December I had many functions booked that week (their loaners were all out) within 15 minutes Enterprise was waiting with a car for me. My vehicle was tied up for a month, but Carmen always kept me in the loop and never made me feel like I was bothering her. More
Exceptionally Poor Customer Service Having bought the vehicle and the corresponding warranty from this dealer 5 or 6 years ago, I would have expected them to be aware of the existence of Having bought the vehicle and the corresponding warranty from this dealer 5 or 6 years ago, I would have expected them to be aware of the existence of said policy when I brought the car in to have some fairly expensive repairs done. However, nobody checked the vehicle's file, and the insurance company wasn't informed prior to the repairs being undertaken. Naturally, the repairs were not covered. When we complained, we were told by the General Manager that we should have let staff know about the policy and that they wouldn't take responsibility. I trust that this wouldn't have happened with any BMW dealership in Germany ... or with Bavaria BMW in Edmonton, which is the dealership where we will be taking our business now. More

When I brought it to the attention of Kathleen ( the customer service manager ) and Eduardo ( the service manager ) They both went way beyond the call of duty and got the entire $8000 dollar repair bill taken care of by the dealership. Kathleen is so empathetic and welcoming and Eduardo is extremely service focused and fun to deal with. Selena ( I really enjoyed working with her, she is fun and super informative ) helped me out in service and everything came back perfect. I will definitely continue to service my vehicle with these wonderful people. More

Secondly, I had to chase around my sales consultant and finance manager from start to finish. Once they had my deposit they completely forgot about me. The paper work they sent had the wrong discounted amount. Overall the experience was frustrating and frankly disrespectful. I decided to buy my vehicle from Bavaria BMW where the whole experience was second to none. I strongly suggest never going to Edmonton BMW. After all the nonsense I went through with them, there snarky, smart xxx used car manager told me they are not going to refund my deposit. I told him it is illegal to do so and I would take this up with AMVIC. He told me, "Go ahead Genius, AMVIC won't help you unless it over 2,000$ dollars!" and laughed at me. The best part is I never signed a single document! These people are theives! NEVER GIVE THEM A DEPOSIT, EVER! Now I am going to have to wait months to get my money back. Worst customer service experince of my life. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. And please believe I will get the money back because I won`t rest untill I do. Steer clear of this dealership people. Its a joke! More
Terrible Service And Staff MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE! Whenever I have to deal with the Staff at Edmonton BMW and MINI, or Service Department I immediately regret my purcha MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE! Whenever I have to deal with the Staff at Edmonton BMW and MINI, or Service Department I immediately regret my purchase. I have run into multiple problems with my car, that should always be a quick fix but it seems to be a daunting task for MINI to deal with. On June 11th I had brought my car in for a service appointment to diagnose a clunk in the rear suspension, and the audio input on the stereo not working properly(both to be covered under my warranty). After Diagnoses, I was then told that parts would need to be ordered and I would clearly have to wait for them to arrive(new plug and rear sway bar links). Half of the ordered parts arrived on June 15th. The other on June 25th. I was never called and informed of this at all. I called MINI on July 7th to find out the parts had been there for almost 2 weeks. Completely unacceptable. Upon booking in my car for the parts to be installed, I expressed my unimpressed feelings and some damaged I discover that had been done to the car at the previous appointment. My next appointment was for July 17th, so I brought my car in the night before so they would have extra time with it. I was called twice on the 17th, first to let me know what was being done and then a second to let me know they didn't get to my car that day. Now my car wouldn't be done until July 20th. leaving me without a vehicle for the weekend. A complete inconvenience to my life, but obviously not a concern for Mini. Upon picking my car up from my July 11th appointment; my Boyfriend discovered that the technician used a small screw driver or similar device, to pop the usb/auxilary plug out of the dash. This left damage to the surrounding dash, and is very unpleasing to look at. I called MINI immediately and voiced my concerns! I was then told that they were sorry and that its is such a long and extensive job removing the dash. So i guess the technician pried the plug out of the dash to save time. This didn't seem to concern the service rep at all. After further conversation they started to make me feel i shouldn't worry about the damage; and to feel guilty for making them do so much work for such a small part to be replaced. The other part to be replaced is the rear sway bar links in the suspension. Easily finished in 1 hour, this job could have been done at any automotive repair shop. and they would have had it done the same day for a small price. Why have I been waiting 1 month to get this fixed through my MINI warranty? I would have gladly paid another shop to do it in a acceptable time frame. Now its sunday July 19th and I'm expecting to pick my car up tomorrow. What will this experience be like? will my car be fixed correctly? these questions are something you should never be asking yourself. When you purchase a vehicle of high quality for good money, you expect to be treated to a high standard. Clearly MINI of Edmonton doesn't hold this standard or believe in it. I have dealt with multiple MINI dealerships and they all have been a big disappointment, and completely unpleasant staff to deal with. DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE, DONT GET YOUR SERVICE DONE HERE. You will regret it. More
DEAL IS NO DEAL Please when you go to this dealership and they present you with an offer do not expect that they accept their own offer. They gave me an offer to trad Please when you go to this dealership and they present you with an offer do not expect that they accept their own offer. They gave me an offer to trade in my car and buy a new X5. I accepted their offer and I could not believe what happened, they declined their own offer. I left got call later and they wanted to still make a deal but was not even close to their first offer. Be carefull when you go their if this is their sales tactics its a very dirty game they are playing. Pleaese go try a different dealership and hope thta they will treat you with respect. If this happened to other people who went to the BMW dealership on south side speak up for all. More

When I pulled up for my appointment, th I had an excellent customer experience recently at Edmonton MINI when I took my car in for routine servicing. When I pulled up for my appointment, the customer ahead of me and the service rep were deep into a discussion. After seeing me wait for a few moments, Aman Waraich from the BMW side came over and invited me to sit down and start the sign-in process. I appreciated that and he was very welcoming to the dealership and seemed to really enjoy his work. While in the shop I received a text from Aman saying that some work was needed and that I’d have to make another appointment to get it done – that was so helpful and most other dealerships would simply have waited to tell me when I arrived to pick up my car. When I came to pick up my vehicle later, Aman greeted me by name and made sure that my car would get squeezed into the shop for the additional work ASAP as I was planning a road trip to Vancouver in a few days. He waited to make certain that I had an appointment that worked for me. My car was looked after that week and all was done under warranty. I’m a happy customer! Kudos to MINI Edmonton and specifically to Aman! Kathy Schmidt More
