Stay away from BMW We've purchased 2 vehicles from Edmonton BMW and, had horrible experiences both times. The sales manager engaged in deceitful and unethical business We've purchased 2 vehicles from Edmonton BMW and, had horrible experiences both times. The sales manager engaged in deceitful and unethical business practices by removing certain items from the invoice without advising us, he did this so that he could give us the vehicle for the price we were willing to pay. Luckily I noticed this prior to taking delivery of the vehicle, we had to fight with this sales manager in order to have the items placed back on the invoice. We've had such terrible service from the sales staff, the manager and the service staff that we will never purchase another BMW vehicle. Did you know this dealership has between a D- rating with the BBB - that says it all. We've spent a great deal of money buying what are supposed to be high end vehicles and with that I have high expectations on how I'm treated as a consumer - both before and after my purchase and how the vehicle will operate including the quality of the product I purchase, all in all I have been let down. If we have to pay for any services, the cost of those services are not competitive. I do not recommend purchasing a BMW, I do not recommend this dealership or any of the staff, they wouldn't know good customer service if it were standing in front of them. More
GO ELSE WHERE November 7, 2014 took the morning off to drop my 2006 330i at the service department. I had an issue with my heat, there was none, after replacing my November 7, 2014 took the morning off to drop my 2006 330i at the service department. I had an issue with my heat, there was none, after replacing my radiator in May 2014 $1700. Thought I was being smart by doing some preventative maintenance and went with a new thermostat as well since I was replacing the radiator. Went to turn my heat on at the end of September and noticed that I only had cold air in the cabin. Finally got around to bringing it in to my local garage where they told me they couldn't figure it out. 1 1/2 days in their garage and they waived the labour charge. Brought it to Edmonton BMW hoping that I wouldn't have this sad story to tell, and here I am. $160 for the diagnostics I'm fine with, told that it was faulty thermostat... sure if it will fix the problem. Told that they found an oil filter housing gasket leak and need to replace... $5 part 2 hours labour...ok. Told my brand new water pump was on its last legs...? Total price of the quote $1700. I gave the go ahead for the gasket and the thermostat $173. They dropped the talk about the electric water pump that was brand new purchased at their parts department. Thermostat gets replaced and still no heat in the cabin. Working with a new technician and now being told that they want me to approve 2 hours labour to investigate the mixer door "something is definitely jamming it". 2 days go by I get a voicemail that the seal on my windshield is deformed leaking water into my blower motor, my heater core is the problem, and my mixer door is fine. Now I'm in for $1645 for previous work, $173 thermostat and $5 gasket, and no heat! New quote is $3700 of which $1200 for new windshield. (exact same windshield through Canadian tire sensors and all $290, through Erikson Infiniti $700). Told that service manager, shop foreman and technician will have a talk and get back to me first thing in the morning. IT"S NOW 2 DAYS LATER and my phone hasn't gone off. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE SOMEWHERE ELSE THEY DON'T CARE! Just real sad because I love my car the way it looks, and the way it drives. Keep reading the reviews because I'm not the only one. More
Disappointing service at Edmonton BMW Had another poor experience in the service department. Took the X3 in for it's annual service and had nothing but trouble. No loaners - again. Shut Had another poor experience in the service department. Took the X3 in for it's annual service and had nothing but trouble. No loaners - again. Shuttle service behind schedule by 1 hour. They phoned the wrong number when it was ready for pickup so it delayed out pickup of the SUV. They didn't perform all the service items listed on the invoice. We called and left numerous messages to discuss, but they fail to call back. We would not recommend this service department to anyone. More
Professional Sales and Service Advisors I recently ended up purchasing a X3 28i - 2015 back in August ( which the salesman was very helpful with going through the details of the packages, te I recently ended up purchasing a X3 28i - 2015 back in August ( which the salesman was very helpful with going through the details of the packages, test drive and was very fair when I was negotiating the deal ) which I was told would arrive 10-12 weeks time. The car arrived in 8 weeks - earlier then expected by 4 weeks. Edmonton BMW took the time to go through the vehicle with me ( I am not very technical savy ) in a timely manner and describe to me all the features and history behind the BMW. I was very impressed with the professional sales representatives, the friendliness of the dealership and to see that everyone had a smile. After my I had my vehicle delivered I needed to add a hitch and a cover to the vehicle and found that my sales representative booked me in and got it taken care of in a timely manner - and he also made sure I got a loaner vehicle for the day that it was in the shop to add these things to the vehicle. Overall I am very pleased with my new BMW and will continue to recommend this dealership to others that are intereted in BMW. More
Huge Improvement! SHE WAS RIGHT. Everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I used to be very disappointed in the service process, always having to wait in a lengthy line first thing in the morning to sit with service personnel and get a ride to work but this time was very timely. A very nicely dressed girl in HEELS didn't hesitate to crouch on the floor to check my tire pressures for me and explain fully how the runflat tires work how the tire sensor reacts to pressure changes. Everything about my experience was pleasant and customer driven. I hope things continue down this path! More
A truly bad experience, with a HOSTILE Service Manager I only went in for a recall on the passenger side airbag, that's it. They call me back and say they found all kinds of leaks - power steering leak wa I only went in for a recall on the passenger side airbag, that's it. They call me back and say they found all kinds of leaks - power steering leak was bad, multiple bad oil leaks but not sure from where, and rear springs need replacing, total cost of over $3,500. (Scary when THEY did an inspection just 10 months ago and none of these issues were present.) I asked just how severe the "bad" leaks were and they didn't know - I asked them to look at the fluid levels to determine the SEVERITY of these "bad" leaks and tech said he would look, and then recommended an engine shampoo... 3 hours later they say they found the engine oil leak, was the oil pan gasket, but STILL hadn't looked at the fluid levels. So technician looks while I'm on the phone and finds all fluids are ABOVE full. Obviously if the fluid levels are full then the leaks aren't "bad" at all, they're just cosmetic! So I ask why they're charging me for the engine shampoo when the BMW TRAINED tech didn't do the simple, easy task of checking the fluid levels to begin with?? Eduardo the Service Manager then calls and is quite rude on the phone, when I ask for clarification on the severity of the leaks he insults me saying I don't understand English when in fact English is a second language for him AND the technician. He then refuses to service the car, demands I pick it up and tells me to take it elsewhere. He then re-emphasizes the power steering leak is substantial yet when I pressure him to confirm how that can be when the fluid level is ABOVE full he dodges the question completely! (And doesn't realize THEY topped up the fluids 10 months ago) The whole thing seemed like a dodgy Rip-Off scheme, with a truly Rude and Hostile service manager. If this is customer service at a luxury car dealership then they should shut their doors for good. More
Bad service from Parts Dept I called Edmonton BMW and talk to Carl from Parts. I was inquiring about the rims and winter tires, bolt pattern and offset of my vehicle I bought fro I called Edmonton BMW and talk to Carl from Parts. I was inquiring about the rims and winter tires, bolt pattern and offset of my vehicle I bought from them, I was told by this guy Carl in a rude way to go to my manual, I said Im in my work and I do not have my manual with me I even told him that I have my VIN of my vehicle he said it doesn't work that way. He is insisting to go to my manual. Is this laziness or bad customer service? I called Bavaria BMW and they answer all my questions by just giving them the VIN. Thats the kind of customer service we need and experience. All my services from now on will be for Bavaria BMW More
LOVE IT OMG I love my car and I love this dealership. I've always hated buying cars since I purchased a car from southside mitsubishi years ago (seriously, wo OMG I love my car and I love this dealership. I've always hated buying cars since I purchased a car from southside mitsubishi years ago (seriously, worst day of my life)... So I was really nervous about buying again. I was expecting to feel pressure, to feel rushed and to feel cheated afterwards but that is the opposite of what I got at Edmonton bmw, My salesman Peter made me feel so comfortable with my decision and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted in a car (and an awesome deal!!!). He always made sure I understood everything and followed up to make sure everything was going well afterwards. The finance manager made everything go quickly and smoothly (I feared this part the most!). Peter also introduced me to staff and managers in other departments so that when I go back for oil changes there are already familiar faces and I don't need to feel lost and awkward. Buy a car from Peter Carol! LOVE LOVE LOVE my car!! More
