The car I bought from them is in storage until Spring right now. I bought it from them in the winter and has not been driven yet. So far I am not impressed with the way I was treated and I spent a lot of money there. So far my biggest concern was that I paid them cash in full upfront but they kept putting me of on letting me have the car with a bunch of excuses. I had asked for certain things to be done to the car and most were ignored even thought they promised it would all be done.. They only did one small thing. Then when I finally get the car with broken promises I find out someone had been driving it around and put an extra 300 kilometres on the car in the snow with salt covered roads. Not cool as this car was advertised that it had never seen snow or winter weather. I should have just walked away from the deal but I really liked the car so took it. Now I have to wait for them to make good on their promises for work that was never done. But one thing they can't fix is driving my paid for car in the snow and salt. More

This dealership has to be the worse I have dealt with. Every time I go in there it seems like half a dozen kids wandered in with their ball caps on and started working there. The kind of kids that don't bend their ball caps like it matters. If you own a TDI of any sort take it somewhere else. There are several indenpendent shops in the area. If they say they have to replace the turbo (2000$) or the EGR (700$) plus labour their lying. Well that and their techs only replace parts. Gone are the days of fixing. I am not ranting. This is all true. Look at the other reviews. You can't write this crap. I have several VW's The oldest is a 2001 Golf TDI. Can't kill this car. I am sure Barrie VW could but its going on 450000 and still original turbo, EGR, injectors and haven't touched the engine. Sadly the dealerships only want to sell you new cars and expensive service. They don't want to even provide parts for my 2001. Its a shame this dealership gives VW a very bad name. Deal with Alliston or Orillia VW instead. Or shop around at other makes. Think about and review the dealership before you buy any car. More
Don't like to do warranty work My Jetta tdi is approaching 75k km. Recently an engine light appeared on the panel intermittently at first and then constantly. The message suggeste My Jetta tdi is approaching 75k km. Recently an engine light appeared on the panel intermittently at first and then constantly. The message suggested the EGR valve. Went into this dealership and they told me that it would either require replacing the EGR valve at $700 plus and three hours labour or another valve at $300 plus and five hours of labour. Had also been to this dealer a week earlier for a recall and they said nothing to me about the engine light. Based on reviews and lack of trust in this establishment, I contacted the service department of the VW dealer in Orillia on Thursday. They said that they would not be able to work on it until Tuesday, but I agreed to drop it off after work on Friday so they could order parts if required. Saturday morning I received a call that it was fixed under warranty. He said that since VW issued a campaign about a problematic exhaust flap he checked that first and solved the problem. I wonder why Autohaus Barrie doesn’t read the VW campaign notices. More
Worst service experience ever!!!! Bought a used car from This dealership came with a one year warranty on my tires. One of my tires blew so I took it in and parked it Sunday night with keys and a note outlining the problem. I also emailed and called. Monday afternoon I called they told me they were awaiting approval from the tire company and they would call me. No call. Finally at 4pm I called to find out the service manager went home with a family problem and no one took care of my issue. Tuesday came, I phone again they're still waiting they say. Finally Tues night comes and I grab the warranty and phone the tire company myself ...low and behold the dealership hadn't even contacted them yet, telling me approval takes 15 mins when they are called. When asked about this simon claimed they "were out of forms " not addressing the fact he already told me he submitted them. I had to fill out the claims form and sit in the dealship and babysit them on order to get my car back. 3 days for a tire. They never called or emailed back and left me calling and emailing several times a day because they wouldn't return my calls. Worst service ever !!! I implore you, buy a car at another dealership if you must have a vw or an Audi because the service here at the Barrie dealership is substandard . Just for kicks after all this they want to charge me for an alignment. More
Ridiculous I have brought my TDI to this garage twice for an oil change and for a oil/engine filter change. First off booking an appointment is painful! they I have brought my TDI to this garage twice for an oil change and for a oil/engine filter change. First off booking an appointment is painful! they never answer the phone, then when they do you are left on hold for half an hour with intermittent interruptions from the operator asking "do you still want to hold?" and made to feel as though you are a burden to her having to answer the phone. I have given up 3 times on booking an appointment and left my name and number...they never call back. I have also purchased a replacement part from this dealer it took them over 3 weeks to figure out what the part number was and then they ordered the totally wrong part in. For the 3 weeks I was constantly having to call them and ask if they had done their job in ordering the part. When I have gone in for service it has taken WAY to long to do an oil change ....3hrs! seriously 3 hrs to do a bloody oil change! it should take 10 minutes maybe even an hour I would find acceptable but 3? its pathetic! The oil change says it includes a top up on all fluids but then if you look at your bill they charge you for each fluid even washer fluid I was charged $1.15. For $115 the washer fluid should be thrown in. Also when they quote a job its never accurate, you can ask one employee for the price of the oil change on a particular car and it will be one price, ask another its something entirely different. then when you go to pay...something different yet again. With the amount of people wandering around this building who apparently work at the place you'd think things could maybe be done to German efficiency. More

Quoted and performed unnecessary work at a very high price (according to a diesel expert whom I consulted after) 4. Mechanic was not capable to adjust the service indicator. Needed to go back in the shop for another day 5. Have dealt with many dealerships of different makes. VW Barrie is by far the worst for service 6. VW Barrie is the only convenient VW dealer in the area, so the options are limited. This means that my next car will NOT BE a Volkswagen More

Going through the reviews here and I must say, I'm slightly confused. I picked up my new vehicle last week from this dealership and I received, by far, the best buying experience I've ever received. Everyone was friendly and worked with me to offer me a great deal on the purchase of my new A4. My new car was ready to pick up when they said it would and the salesperson, Brent, took all the time I needed to go over my new car and make sure everything was good. I tried to buy a car from this place 3 years ago, before the change in ownership and it was bad. This time though, I loved this place! I would recommend this dealership without hesitation! More

For more than 20 minutes I listened to alternating ringing and music. During that time, I started reading reviews. Thats what prompted me to hang up. I did the service at an independant shop that specializes in VW's. Recently, the dealership called me to remind me that the servicing was overdue, and here's the best part: Would I like to purchase into their new loyalty program for $49.95? Hahahahahahahahahahah More
