I've been doing business with the Wolfe family dealership for a long time and over the years every aspect as been sensational. However, in more recent times visiting the service department has been a little underwhelming, to make it clear, the people I've dealt with have been amazing but the practices have me questioning if I'll buy another vehicle here. I used to be able to work things out so that my service repair bill was kept at a minimum and always felt a peace of mind about my visit. Now, it's quite apparent that profit comes first, had my car in for a repair that required diagnosis, the intial diagnosis went fine but more diagnosis was required and their plan included multiple hours of diagnosing which I thought was unnecassary, did a bit of looking/researching to discover the reason my car was doing what it was doing, was a common issue with this car and the technicians should have had a GM list of common issues to check first but they didn't, I required a part which I was promised to be 4-6 days, 10 days later I had to call the service department to get this going to completion. In previous days, I would have been charged labor according to what was used, so for example if it only took 3 hours, I will billed for 3 hours, but on this visit I was charged book time for aspect of the repair which inflated the bill by a large sum. I also noted the parts they used and most parts were above GM Parts Canada retail prices. Air filters, for example, they want $80 for air filter and $80 for a cabin air filter, on GM parts website, the normal MSRP was about $40 for both but they were also on sale, so they are not passing the saving onto their customers. It's my understanding the service manager has changed recently, perhaps this is what's behind this practice. But because of this, I went from certain to buying a vehicle from them to at most 50/50.
Everything else is still quite exceptional, very clean and open space to wait for your vehicle or shop for one, people are kind and courteous, it's just this latest change in business practice that I can only give them a mediocre score of 3 stars, I've also observed the change in others' reviews after the 2023 awards have had more less favorable reviews.
