I ordered a new Mazda CX-5 from this dealer in October and just picked it up tonight. When we ordered the truck, our sales rep, Shawn Lin, was very patient, explained features of CX-5 and answered our que and just picked it up tonight. It also helped quite a bit that he spoke our language, Mandarin, as my parents shopping with me were rather rough with English. When requested, we were given a test drive, and that led us to the decision of buying the truck. The reason that I take away a star from Quality of Work and Overall Experience is because our CX-5 was late for about two weeks. When ordering it in mid-October, promise was given that we would be able to pick up the truck in four weeks. It turned out that our CX-5 arrived at the dealership almost one week after the scheduled delivery. They also had to take another week to install all the equipments in the car, perform PDI and the rustproofing that we ordered. Price is another area that I have to take away a star. While we were able to negotiate a good price for our CX-5, when asked for the price of a set of snow tires and rims, Yorkdale Dufferin Mazda quoted $1500. Considering that other car dealerships are giving them away for free and we could buy them at almost 2/3 of the price quoted, what they asked for was simply unacceptable. Nonetheless, during the six weeks of waiting, Shawn constantly kept us up-to-date. When left voice messages, he returned our calls fairly quickly. It also helped that, when asked to deliver the paperwork that we had to sign, Shawn showed up at our doorstep promptly. When we picked up our CX-5, Shawn was polite and apologetic about the delay. Considering the friendliness and professional service we received from Shawn, we would recommend people to buy from Yorkdale Dufferin Mazda, and we look forward to the same quality of service when we go back for maintenance.
