I was very impressed with a young lady named Lucy at your dealership. She is an excellent sales lady. She knew her product, she was attentive and very caring. We connected from our first phone call. Although I didn’t get the car I originally wanted, I went back to Lucy because she is the best. I ended up with my 2nd best snd am very happy. It was just a matter of colour choice and I had to decide if I was buying a car for the inside or outside. With Lucy’s help, I know I made the right choice. Bought a rav4 hybrid XSE from Tanya, very happy with the vehicle!!!! We put down a deposit last month and got our vehicle in less than a month considering there is a long wait on these right now. Placed a deposit on a RAV4 Prime XSE in June 2020 and at that time was told we were about 12th on the list. No explanation on how how matters would proceed from there. Some back and forth with my sales contact iver the next few months and Will was honest about manufacturing delays, etc. Fast forward to late Jan when we got a call from our salesman saying our Prime would be coming in 3-8 weeks and we'll gat a call closer to arrival to get paperwork in order. After no calls for the next 6 weeks, I tried contacting Will several timea only to be told "he's not available" or "he's on vacation." I thought maybe he was unlucky enough to catch COVID and that was the stock excuse. After 10 weeks from our estimated deliver call, I e-mailed the general info mailbox explaining the situation and our frustration with not being contacted at all. At 11 weeks we finally got a call from a different salesman saying our previous guy was no longer with Westminster Toyota and we did not have a car on order. Our best chance to get an order in would be in 4-9 months as the demand was high. No apologies. No trying to make amends. We were screwed. The lack of professionalism from sales was laughable. Dealing with the Manager on the phone or e-mail was even less helpful. I showed the picture of our deposit slip and that didn't get us any leverage in the situation. The quick solution was I contacted another dealer in a smaller market (outside the lower mainland) and within 2 months, drove off their lot with the exact car we wanted. I am a firm believer in supporting one's own community and spending as much of my money in my city as possible, but I now plan to go out of my way to get my car serviced in Burnaby because I wasn't even treated to the basic decency of an apology for the situation they put me in. Best Toyota dealership in BC. I felt very welcomed here although I was just here to buy off my leased car. Taura in the service reception was very helpful and friendly.
