I have been searching for a new 4Runner for several months, so have made inquiries with quite a few dealerships. Received a call from Max in their sales advising one matching the options I wanted was n months, so have made inquiries with quite a few dealerships. Then he went “salesman” on me, did not provide a price, but began collecting all my information, had me sign an agreement form, and started haggling about my trade in. When I finally got a price (well above MSRP) and tried to discuss what I felt would be a comparable price for my Tacoma, he became dismissive, to the point I felt insulted. This after coming out on his invitation to what he had termed a quick sell. He had even advised me to bring both my keys for my truck suggesting I might be driving the 4Runner home. In short he seemed much more interested in his side of the sale rather than a customer satisfaction result. Disappointed. More
This text is to provide details regarding my recent visit so you can better understand my concerns. I booked an appointment to have several issues checked and addressed, including dim headlights, brake re so you can better understand my concerns. I booked an appointment to have several issues checked and addressed, including dim headlights, brake repair, wiper blade replacement, and underbody shield repair. During the visit, I was informed that parts were not available for the underbody shield and the wiper blades. While I understand that parts availability can be an issue, no alternative solution was offered, such as scheduling a return visit once the parts became available. Regarding the brakes, I was advised that the front drums, calipers, and pads required replacement. For the dim headlights, the initial inspection report suggested the issue might be related to a daylight control module that was installed when the vehicle was brought into Canada. However, when I picked up the vehicle, I was told that the issue was “somehow fixed” and that there was no longer a problem. In reality, only two light bulbs were replaced, and I was charged $212 for this service. I was also advised to take the vehicle to Canadian Tire for further assistance. This outcome was not what I expected from a Toyota-authorized service provider. My expectation was that the service department would fully investigate the issue and provide repair and replacement recommendations in line with Toyota manufacturer maintenance guidelines, as I have experienced in previous visits. If the issue could not be properly resolved, I would have appreciated clear guidance and a recommendation to return at another time. Overall, my customer service experience was average, but the lack of clear communication, incomplete resolution of concerns, and redirection to a non-authorized service provider were disappointing. My experience with this dealership was nothing short of frustrating. During my first visit, I was pressured to put down a deposit to have a vehicle brought in, even though I only wanted to be placed on a l frustrating. When the vehicle finally did arrive, I was called in to view it. After seeing it, we made it clear that we intended to purchase it, but only after receiving the final pricing so we could arrange the payment and complete the insurance transfer from my current vehicle for the next morning. The dealership refused, claiming it wasn’t their policy and that they don’t hold vehicles for anyone. We were never advised of these policies at any point, despite being at the dealership twice and asking reasonable questions. I then asked about leaving a non-refundable deposit and signing a contract, and was still told the car would not be held under any circumstances. I even offered to return the same day to pay for the vehicle and simply have it stay on the lot overnight while I handled insurance the next morning. Again, the answer was no. At this point, I had never even been shown an invoice, yet they expected me to commit to a major purchase without basic information or even 24 hours to finalize required paperwork. That is unacceptable and demonstrates extremely poor business practice. Based on how rigid, unhelpful, and unprofessional this entire process was, I do not recommend this dealership to anyone, and I will be purchasing the vehicle from another dealership that actually values its customers. I bought my Rav4 last week and had a great experience from start to finish. Saejoon was awesome to work with—super helpful and made the whole process easy. I also worked with Michael, the sales manager, and he was great at keeping things smooth and efficient. I decided to go with the ECP program again since I had it on my last car, and it really paid off. All my services were covered, and when I had an issue with a power window, it was taken care of with no deductible—super simple and no hassle. Their service department is excellent too—quick to get warranty work handled and always professional. Overall, I’m really happy with how everything went. Great team and great service all around! More
