Lance was able to answer all my questions with out having to go look things up. He really knows the Tundra and I learned a lot about the truck that I did not know. Lance stayed in contact with me and in a quarter of the time that the other dealers suggested my truck was ready to pick up. The trade in price for my truck was what I had estimated and within 2 hours I was out the door in my new Tundra. Thank you Lance and Westminster Toyota for the great experience. More
DISHONEST, UPSELLING and GREED! If I read through the reviews here first, I wouldn't have been eagerly jumping into an agent promises. Things change in my work, travelling and us If I read through the reviews here first, I wouldn't have been eagerly jumping into an agent promises. Things change in my work, travelling and usage for my everyday commute, I own a highly sought after Toyota truck and I decide to shift my desire to a much fuel efficient vehicle. With the supply and demand in the back of my mind, I tried my luck sending emails to quite a few dealership around metro Vancouver and hope one or two of them might be delivering a good news for me. there comes this gentlemen name Mr. Gerald Adrian Lu (Sales Advisor) getting back to my email as saying he might have what I'm looking for. He mention that he has a RAV4 XSE Prime (mid grade) that someone had ordered from a year and half ago but ghosting them and he be glad to show it to me if I'm interested. Went in their same day Saturday. Test drive the XSE Prime, discussed a few things and was told to bring in the my truck ( I was driving my wife's car at that time since my son uses my truck to work on that weekend) on Monday since the crew that evaluates for trade ins will not be available on Sunday but he'll call me on tomorrow to confirm our Monday meeting with my truck. Sunday past, I received no calls (should be a red flag at that pt) so Monday morning arrives and I texted him asking what happed to him , why he did not call me on Sunday? After the usual excuse, He said the white coloured rav4 that was being shown to me was sold already. To my dismay, I showed a surprised look as I thought you called me in for that availability. But he showed me another inventory, another Rav4 prime (with the same scenario like previous scenario) with tech package which will cost me $5k+ more. I kept my open mind, test drived the xse tech pkg. and after that we had a discussion but to my surprised, I felt I was being upsell to a ceramic coating worth $3000 plus. he said the previous people who ordered it had it requested it to be ceramic coated before delivery. Ok? I said now I'm the next buyer inline and I don't want to spend that ceramic coating plus it's not like they already made the coating. When I test drive it, it was still wrapped in their white plastic from transport. Then he says they're unable to approved my proposed trade in value that I want. Fine? I will pay for it in cash. Then the rep started saying 'ok, I will let you know if the original person who order this is still interested in their order'. So I said all for awhile I'm basically dealing with you on a non existing vehicle. Then he goes 'well' as a courtesy, we need to make sure that the original person deserve a chance to get hold of the vehicle he ordered'. I agree but don't you think you should do that assignment first before luring a customer to your dealership twice for nothing? (I believe this is just a escape goat for them, after I turn around or go home they can easily say the original owner reached out to them and want it so they can sell it to another customer who really wants the vehicle without minding the upselling they are forcing to a prospect buyer). You made me come twice to your location that is not near to us. He said sorry that was the policy and if I wanna pursue to get a prime, leave a deposit with him and he'll see what he can do about it. I said after the experience I encounter here, I be gladly putting my downpayment somewhere else. They didn't realized by making a fool of themselves on a single customer ruins a huge potentials for future customers recommendation. Another point here is, does all this negativity towards this dealership reaches the top or higher management or corporate ppl? Do they care? If Im the owner of this dealership, I be having a closer look at the GM who manages his subordinates. Please be aware, If so happen your friend or relatives need a Toyota? PLEASE stay away from this dealership! Not all bad reviews are bad. They HELP! I would not definitely do or recommend doing business with them! Thank you! More

I would not recommend doing business with Westminster Toyota at all as their sales team is full of cheating, unprofessional, and really greedy. In my case, I was contacted by a salesperson from there Toyota at all as their sales team is full of cheating, unprofessional, and really greedy. In my case, I was contacted by a salesperson from there, and then I put 500$ deposit as I had been told they will have a new model of hybrid will be there soon as they are the biggest dealership of Toyota in BC(they requested me to go there in a very short time, they also checked and took pictures of my trade-in car, a low mileage top model of another brand, didn't mention the value of my car at all even I asked). After then I started to prepare my payments. After around 1 month, "the car is there", in fact, it's not the car setup I required, instead, it's the order of someone who gave up buying at the last minute. They offered me a test drive before saying anything. I was pushed to sign a file to accept the price of the new car, as sales told me the car had an additional package that would require an extra ~$5000, I said it was fine. Then things went wild, their manager did an assessment of my car, and they showed me the MRSP sheet, it's really make me think they were out of mind: 1> my car value: $3000(I checked multiple website, it should be around 17k to 20k) 2> There was an additional charge called "service agreement": ~$2500 I told the salesperson, I understood you guys need to make more money for a single deal, but 1> is too far, I can accept $13k. They tried to convince me that a used same model was more expensive even with all the money I would pay. (that is a ridiculous comparison and trap) Later they even told me "You can do finance which can save me money", and give me a new sheet with an interest rate of ~7% for 36-month terms. (how can this help to save money????) I skipped it and asked for my deposit back later even though they offered me they can skip the so-called "service agreement". But I was super shocked by this really awful shopping experience with Westminster Toyota, how can Toyota and Canada have this kind of dealership??? PS: I got the same gas model from another dealer with their listed price and trade-in my car with 13k(I can choose to trade-in or not) in one month, even though it's not hybrid and the trade-in price is lower than the price in the market(anyway, it saved my time), why I am happy to accept the offer, as the new dealer is honest and sincere. They were also adding on an expensive under coating, which I'd never do. Big disappointment, and the explanation they gave on low trade in quote made no sense. I was so excited and I told him that I will come the next day in the early morning to do the paperwork. After our conversation passed 2 hours and he calls me and told me that his boss sold my Tundra. That is unacceptable! After that, I took my deposit and went to OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody and order new Tundra from Nick Aleksic and he delivered my truck as he promised. I recently bought a car from Westminster Toyota. I am writing this review because I have serious concerns about the business this dealership carries out. I reserverd a vehicle and waiting many month I am writing this review because I have serious concerns about the business this dealership carries out. I reserverd a vehicle and waiting many months for it to arrive. Once it did they charged me a second and higher deposit to the initial deposit I placed. When I arrived to pick it up, they told me they required that I pay an extra $2000+tax "fee" for a "protection plan". When I said I did not want this, they said the deposit which I had already paid was non-refundable. This protection package is not a Toyota package - it is a third party contract that the dealership does not stand behind and has such insane fine print that it will be impossible to claim anything on it. This dealership not only charges the highest doc fee ($778!), but also scams you into putting down a deposit only then to tell you that you have to pay another $2224 which is effectively extortion as it has no value. All together this is $3018 over MSRP that you will pay if you work with the crooks at this dealership. I will never buy a vehicle from this dealership again. I would sooner work with any other Toyota dealership in the lower mainland. The dishonest business practices of this dealership are a serious ethical concern. Please be warned before you deal with this dealership. There are many other great dealerships which charge a much lower doc fee in the $400-500 range and do not scam you out if your deposit only to charge you another $2000 of worthless additional profit markups. I would like to find out how to report this to Toyota Canada but I do not know how. This dealer are dishonest scam artists. Even the finance lady More
