I bought a used RAV4 from Westminster Toyota about 2 years ago, and honestly it’s been a great ride. Big thanks to Hossein, Bob and Charul – they were all super helpful and made the buying process easy years ago, and honestly it’s been a great ride. Big thanks to Hossein, Bob and Charul – they were all super helpful and made the buying process easy and low stress. Recently, something came up with the car (nothing major, just one of those things that happens over time). Thankfully I had picked up the Avantguard warranty when I bought it – and I’m really glad I did. The repair ended up being over $6,000, but I only had to pay a $100 deductible. The rest was fully covered, no stress at all. What really stood out to me was the after-sales support. Westminster Toyota stood fully behind the warranty and made sure everything was handled properly. That kind of service and follow-through is a big plus in my books. The Avantguard warranty totally paid for itself, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re buying a used vehicle. Overall still very happy with the RAV4 and the team at Westminster Toyota. Would definitely go back again. 👍 More
I just picked up my new Corolla Cross from Westminster Toyota, and I’m honestly so happy with the whole experience. From start to finish, LV, Alvin, and Jesse made it all smooth, stress-free, and way more Toyota, and I’m honestly so happy with the whole experience. From start to finish, LV, Alvin, and Jesse made it all smooth, stress-free, and way more enjoyable than I expected. When I first walked into the dealership, I wasn’t sure exactly what I was looking for. LV was the first to greet me, and from the start, he made me feel comfortable. There was no pressure, just a genuine conversation about what I needed. He took the time to listen and walked me through all my options, giving me honest advice and helping me find the perfect fit. He’s the kind of person who’s genuinely there to help, not just to sell you something. Once I decided on the Corolla Cross, Alvin helped with the paperwork. I’ve had my fair share of pushy car salespeople, but Alvin was nothing like that. He was super transparent about the pricing and what was included. He didn’t try to upsell me or push extra add-ons, which made a huge difference. I could tell he genuinely wanted to make sure I understood everything before I signed anything. Then there was Jesse, the Finance Manager. I was a little nervous about the financial side of things, but Jesse made it so much easier. He took the time to explain all the numbers clearly and walked me through the options without rushing me. He never made me feel pressured to make any decisions I wasn’t comfortable with. The whole process felt really transparent and respectful, which is rare when it comes to financing. Jesse made sure I felt confident and clear about everything before finalizing. Overall, the entire team made me feel like more than just a customer. They treated me with respect, gave me great advice, and made the whole process feel personal and easy. I walked away feeling like I made the best choice, not just with the car, but with the dealership too. I'm absolutely in love with my new Corolla Cross, and I can’t thank LV, Alvin, and Jesse enough for making this such a positive experience. If you want a hassle-free car buying experience, where you’re treated like a person and not a sale, I highly recommend Westminster Toyota. These guys truly care about their customers, and it shows! I recently purchased a RAV4 from Westminster Toyota, and I have to say, the whole experience was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued. The staff was incredibly friendly and mad I have to say, the whole experience was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure I was well-informed every step of the way. One thing that really stood out was the little touches. I was given a free cargo liner with my RAV4, which was a nice bonus. The finance office was especially pleasant and made the paperwork process easy to understand, without any pressure. I also appreciate how straightforward everything was with the warranty – it’s reassuring to know I’m covered. Just a week after buying my RAV4, I got a flat tire, but the claims process was a breeze, and I had no issues getting it taken care of. It really speaks to how well they stand behind their products. If you're in the market for a new car, I highly recommend Westminster Toyota. The level of service and attention to detail made all the difference, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! More

Disappointing Experience – Lack of Transparency and Poor Communication As a loyal Toyota customer, I’ve always trusted the brand. My partner and I have leased and purchased several Toyota vehicles over t Communication As a loyal Toyota customer, I’ve always trusted the brand. My partner and I have leased and purchased several Toyota vehicles over the years. Most recently, we bought a RAV4 Hybrid XSE from Westminster Toyota. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating and left us very disappointed. When we switched from our CHR lease to the RAV4, we were never told there would be a $19,000 early termination fee from ending the lease early. We only discovered this after signing the new contract. Had we known, we would’ve taken more time to decide or stayed with the CHR longer. We tried to address this by scheduling a meeting with the sales rep and manager. The meeting was confirmed—but when my partner arrived (after driving 30 minutes), neither of them showed up. The front desk said they weren’t in. This was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful of our time. While we understand that once a contract is signed, it becomes our responsibility, we believe transparency is key—especially when it comes to major financial decisions like leasing and buying cars. We are recent graduates and still learning about how car financing works. Instead of being guided, we felt rushed and misinformed. If you’re a new buyer or not very familiar with leasing or financing, I strongly recommend going to a different Toyota dealership. Westminster Toyota did not take the time to explain important details or help us understand what we were signing. We expected better support and transparency. Toyota as a brand is great—but sadly, this dealership does not reflect that level of care. More
Be VERY, VERY CAREFUL when buying certified pre-owned vehicles here. I purchased a used Toyota Tundra Hybrid Capstone with 33,000kms.on it for $96k after taxes here on April 15th with multiple marketplac vehicles here. I purchased a used Toyota Tundra Hybrid Capstone with 33,000kms.on it for $96k after taxes here on April 15th with multiple marketplace ads from different salesmen listing this truck stating in capital letters 'NO ACCIDENTS!!!' When I asked to see the Carfax report there was a $0 collision showing on the report. They assured me over the phone this was a one owner vehicle which they sold to a client that buys a new capstone from them each year and that with regard to the collision it was just the side mirror glass that popped out of the mirror housing so the owner had called ICBC thinking there was damage. They very clearly and specifically stated the glass only had to be snapped back into place - NO ACTUAL DAMAGE. This was reiterated in person when I drove down from Kelowna to view the truck. The deal was made and two days later in Kelowna I started to notice some things that were not right so I took it to a friend who is a red seal autobody man. By crawling underneath and taking a look, within a few minutes we noted the following: Mis-matched left and right bumper caps on the rear bumper (I'd noticed this at home and this is what started the suspicion), a 2' long run in the paint or clear coat on the right rear quarter panel which you cannot see very well or at all in direct sunlight, white overspray on weatherstripping Inbetween the box and cab, broken mounting clips on the underside of rear bumper cover, wheel damage, both backup lights cracked and UNTREATED / EXPOSED WELDS FROM THE REPLACEMENT OF THE RIGHT REAR QUARTER PANEL just left to rust!!! I took it to an actual bodyahop as well and the estimator verified within minutes that significant work had been done on this truck. $15,000 minimum in repairs but likely closer to $20k. This was a Toyota Certified pre-owned, touting a 160 point inspection, top quality vehicle and they would barely budge on price - this is what they're selling their customers. Just look at the photos! I paid cash and found out quickly that Toyota Canada cannot and will not have your back in this situation either as dealerships are independently owned and it wasn't financed through Toyota. They GM did agree to take the vehicle back but we fought over who would pay for the freight back to Westminster from Kelowna for days and they refused to pay my expenses down which included gas, hotel and meals. Not to mention two days of my life wasted and missed out on a couple other similar trucks I was dealing on in the Vancouver area. The GM had his manager call me to try and shake me down, demanding I stop driving the truck because if they're taking it back its technically theirs now. I snapped and said unless you secretly deposited $96k in my bank account the truck is still mine and offered that if they want me to stop driving it while they arrange transport back, they better arrange a rental and deliver it to me because my life does not stop because of the mess they created and I don't do life without a vehicle. Arrogant, entitled and shameless this group is. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I even had myself convinced that they simply made a mistake and had no malicious intent - lack of due diligence, missing the damage upon their inspection. Literally 10/10 people in the industry have said you'd have to be blind to just 'miss' this amount of damage when taking in a vehicle of that value for inspection/trade. The sales manager said several times over the phone 'we don't have to take this vehicle back' throughout our arguments. Again, 10/10 people with knowledge of the industry said the VSA claim would have been a slam dunk in my favour. If you are shopping for a 2024 Tundra Hybrid Capstone with 34,000kms on it and it's Pearl white, BE VERY CAREFUL!! They'll likely try running with the side mirror glass story again since they have no paper trail or history of the actual damage this truck incurred! More
I had a disappointing experience with New Westminster Toyota, particularly with the manager, Harvinder Tinna. When purchasing a vehicle, I was unexpectedly charged for a leather seat treatment that I did Toyota, particularly with the manager, Harvinder Tinna. When purchasing a vehicle, I was unexpectedly charged for a leather seat treatment that I didn't want. This charge stemmed from a previous customer whose financing had fallen through, but instead of absorbing the cost, Harvinder attempted to pass it onto me. The sales associate, Kalpesh Shah, was excellent and did his best to help remove the fee, but unfortunately, it was the manager's decision that carried the most weight. To make matters worse, Harvinder didn't have the decency to speak with me directly. Instead, they sent a representative, Kenney, who tried to act as if they were giving me a deal, even though I clearly understood that the dealer should absorb the cost. Kenney's handling of the situation only made me more upset, as he was unhelpful and condescending. Even though I could have walked away, I had already placed a deposit back on January 27th, and my vehicle was continually delayed. Despite my flexibility on color preferences, I didn't feel like my order was treated with priority. Overall, Harvinder Tinna’s approach felt self-serving, trying to pass unnecessary costs onto buyers instead of taking responsibility. I will be cautious about recommending this dealership moving forward. More
