They will tell you 2.99%, then later they will inform you that you are not qualified for the rate. Instead, i will find a bank for you, then they will start to give you 7 %, then if you dont like it they will lower it to 6% so on etc...then theynwill lower it to 4% but they will increase the years of payment. That's a big joke. Even if you are qualied for the toyota financing, they will tell you that you are not. They will jack up the interest rate, that is the way they make money. Watch out for that trick More

Laughed when we wanted to look at the base model, saying it was no good, and Could not answer basic questions about the vehicle. The visit was drawn out to 2 hours and despite saying repeatedly that we wanted to take the paperwork and think About it he asked for a deposit more than once. The entire time I was treated with condescension, and rudeness. I could not get out of there fast enough. We bought a Honda. More

I asked him if his dealership offers life-time free oil changes, and he said no. He says it's a bad idea, and for me to look online at all the complaints this service receives. However, I have this service on my Toyota Tundra from Mayfield and it's been really good. So much so, that I will likely not buy from that dealership, because my lengthy service history with Mayfield has been so good! I go to Mayfield every 8,000km for Toyota scheduled maintenance, so I've been there now about 25 times. I also only go to this dealership because I negotiated free lifetime oil-changes when I bought the vehicle. I like it mainly because its saves me a lot of money. My neighborhood oil-change shop charges $80(because the oil reservoir for the Tundra is substantially larger than normal). 25 x $80 is $2000. When my truck needs additional work, like brakes, tires, or a windshield, the dealership gives me a cost, but I never feel pressured from them to have the work done. Their communications has been excellent, the prices seem to be market-based for dealerships, and I've never had to go back for poor workmanship. Overall, my experience from having bought a vehicle from them was excellent, and after about 25 times of maintenance service, I have not had a complaint yet. More
Poor Customer Service I called to have my vehicle booked in for service three weeks in advance as I was going to be traveling from High Level Alberta. I was told that I wou I called to have my vehicle booked in for service three weeks in advance as I was going to be traveling from High Level Alberta. I was told that I would be unable to recieve a loaner vehicle while my vehicle was being serviced as my service would take 2hrs. When I expressed that I was traveling 9hrs from out of town to have the service completed and had multiple things to do during my time in Edmonton the service person I spoke with advised that he would speak with his manager. When he returned to our conversation he advised that his manager Dan deemed that I would not be able to recieve a loaner vehicle as my appointment time wasn't long enough. I have always had my service completed at Country Hills Toyota and South Pointe Toyota in Calgary, both are owned by the same owner of Mayfield Toyota and have never experienced this issue. When I expressed this to the person I was speaking with they advised that they were not sure of why the standard was different for their location. I have had been a Toyota customer for 9 years now and I have always had great service at the two other locations I have been too, and I am extremely disappointed in the service I recieved today from Mayfield Toyota, that I have refused to take my vehicle to their location for service and would highly recommend that others look at other dealerships for their service needs. Because my family was down to one vehicle, travel between different dealerships to find the best vehicle for the best price was difficult. Mayfield Toyota was one of the few dealerships in the Edmonton area that was MORE THAN WILLING to communicate via e-mail, including initial discussions on price. This was greatly appreciated. Andrew was terrific to deal with. Mayfield Toyota came in with the best price on the 2014 model of the car we were looking for. It was only due to the fact that another dealership had a new 2013 (older) model for a better price that we ended up going elsewhere. Great job on up-front e-mail communications Andrew. We will definitely be dealing with you in the future when we need a new Toyota. I would fully recommend anyone looking for a Toyota contact Andrew @ Mayfield Toyota Scion! More

I was emailing them back and forth for months and Jason was very informative and helpful via email. So good that i had suggested him to my 2 sisters. This meant he would be getting a 3 car sale. Then everything changed when i went there. There was no customer service at all. Not even a greeting. When we met up with Jason he was not willing to negotiate and as time progressed he became less and less professional. We were not being difficult, we just brought a former car salesman with us who knew how to negotiate. He began to lose his cool and was disrespectful. While we were all sitting down with him he offered my my middle sister and i a deal and asked for a deposit. My eldest sister did not like his offer on her vehicle but put a deposit down anyway as there were not many of the highlanders in stock. I asked him in front of 4 people if the deposit was refundable he said over 3X that it was so we put our deposit down. My sister then consulted with another dealership (kingsway) who offered her a much better deal and they offered to beat whatever Mayfield was offering us. We went to Kingsway to see what they had to offer and they were so awesome that we decided to move our business there. My eldest sister got her deposit back. We (my other sister and I) returned to Mayfield to ask for our deposit back and one of the finance managers contacted Jason and he told them that our deposit was non refundable. To make a long story short were there for 3 HOURS trying to get our deposit back bouncing from person to person everyone saying that they could not give us our deposits without Jason's approval (lies lies lies) but i refused to leave without my deposit. Finally one of the sales managers Ken was very nice gave us our deposit, and sincerely apologized. He made it clear that he didnt want to hold our deposit. I had wished we dealt with him first. He even offered to pay for our dinner to compensate for our terrible experience but it was too late. We were angry exhausted and disgruntled after 3hrs of trying to get our deposit back. Plus there was so much that also happened here that i do not want to write as this review would be too long. Just Don't buy from here and DO NOT PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN UNLESS YOU HAVE IT IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL GET IT BACK. They dont care about your business obviously if they lost a 3 vehicle sale. The only good people i interacted with here was Roslyn (she was great, she's in finance) and the Sales manager Ken who gave me my deposit back. If you go back there just go to Ken directly no one else he and Roslyn are Mayfield's only saving grace. Go to kinsgway instead. We bought 3 vehicles from them and we were happy with their service. I went in with a buddy looking for a Tacoma or Rav4, they separate the vehicles into cars and trucks in two different buildings. We went into the trucks lobby and got no service at all, a half hearted employee came up and asked if we had any questions and seemed relieved that we didn't at the time. After leaving the truck building and walking down the road to the car area for the rav4, we went into the showroom, sat in the vehicle, played with all the buttons for some time and no salespersons even said hello. I stood by the salesdesk, which was unattended for some time before an older gentleman came and offered assistance. This was BILL W and he was fantastic, he had a gentle approach and very honest, matter of fact way of going about things. After almost leaving because of lack of assistance, I ended up buying a new rav4. Great job Bill, great job Rosa in finance. Boo to the receptionists and lame duck salespeople. If you go down, talk to Bill, he's the number one seller of toyota's in Canada and a straight up guy. More

Toyota Corolla 2002 CE Engine light coming on at approx. 500km intervals inspite of frequent resets by Mayfield service department and assurance that nothing was wrong. Complete unwillingness to fix the is 500km intervals inspite of frequent resets by Mayfield service department and assurance that nothing was wrong. Complete unwillingness to fix the issue. My last visit, I was told by Lester the then service manager that I wouold have to pay $350 up front before they would even look at the vehicle. Went to the owner … settled with a new Sienna van. With the Sienna they replaced the wrong part that had nothing to do with the passenger sliding door … ended up creating wind noise in the door that was not there prior to their "intervention". Took the door off and replaced a perfectly good running track caused a miss match, now the door has not closed properly since, the wind noise continues and Mayfield Toyota service dept. has washed their hands of it! Wouln NEVER recommend this dealership. More
