On Thursday, December 11, I had a scheduled vehicle service appointment with Toyota at West Edmonton Mall for my 2019 Toyota C-HR. In addition to the routine service, I specifically requested that all service appointment with Toyota at West Edmonton Mall for my 2019 Toyota C-HR. In addition to the routine service, I specifically requested that all four tires be thoroughly inspected, as the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light had been repeatedly activating. I was concerned there may be damage to one or more tires. Later that day, I received a call from Toyota advising that all four tires were in good condition and that the issue was due to a damaged sensor, which required replacement. I authorized the repair accordingly. However, upon collecting my vehicle and prior to leaving the dealership, I noticed that the TPMS warning light was still illuminated. I immediately brought this to the attention of the staff member assisting me and was advised not to worry, as the light would turn off after approximately 10 minutes of driving. Trusting this guidance, I left the dealership and drove home, a trip of approximately 30 minutes. The warning light remained on for the entire drive. I subsequently contacted the dealership to report the issue. After being placed on hold, I was informed that the warning light had been off when the mechanic completed the work and that the issue was likely weather-related. The following morning, despite the vehicle being parked overnight in a heated garage and not exposed to cold temperatures, the TPMS warning light remained on. As a result, I returned to Toyota at West Edmonton Mall to have the tire pressures checked again. At that time, I was informed that all four tires were set to 29 PSI, whereas the recommended pressure is 33 PSI. Once the tires were properly inflated to 33 PSI, the TPMS warning light immediately turned off. While I am not a mechanic, it is concerning that this issue was not identified and resolved prior to returning the vehicle to me, particularly given that I had raised this concern multiple times. Throughout this experience, I felt my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously. This was especially distressing given the extreme weather conditions at the time, with temperatures reaching approximately -30°C. Vehicle reliability and safety are critical under such conditions, and the possibility of being stranded due to unresolved issues caused significant anxiety. This is not an isolated incident. On a previous occasion when my tires were changed over, my off-season tires were not placed back into my vehicle. I did not discover this until halfway home, requiring me to return to the dealership to retrieve them. Unfortunately, on more than one occasion, I have experienced errors or oversights that resulted in additional inconvenience. This is particularly disappointing as I have been a loyal customer of this location for the past six years. I purchased my Toyota C-HR from this dealership for $33,000 and have consistently returned for service. In 2025 alone, I spent $1,135.50 on May 23, $199.45 on September 22, and $565.94 on December 11, totaling $1,900.89 in service expenses for the year. Including the purchase of my vehicle and ongoing maintenance, I have spent approximately $37,400 at this location. Additionally, I influenced my parents to purchase a Toyota RAV4 here, bringing our family’s total spending at this dealership to a minimum of $82,400. Despite this loyalty, I continue to feel that my concerns are not given the care and attention they warrant. Most recently, I contacted the dealership to speak with a manager and was advised that he was unavailable but would return my call. It is now well after 8:00 p.m., and I have yet to receive a response. Given the cumulative nature of these experiences, I am seriously reconsidering my continued patronage of this location. I had expected a higher standard of service, communication, and accountability, particularly as a long-standing and loyal customer. Casie Heary More

Very disappointed with the dealership. They used to be called Mayfield Toyota, which is where I purchased my 2018 Toyota Highlander new. One of the accessories I asked and paid them to install was a towing package with a 7 pin connector. I had the intention to someday get a trailer with electric brakes, but didn't want to have the brake controller installed at that time, so I asked them to just install the 7 pin connector and wiring. Six years later, I had to replace the 7 pin connector due to wear and tear and discovered that this dealership had installed only a 4 wire harness with three other wires connected to the connector, but dead ended approximately 5 inches back from the connector. They wrapped all the wires into a bundle with electrical tape, so it wasn't obvious that the 3 wires weren't connected to anything. When I went to WEM Toyota and showed them what they had done, they agreed that they should have ran 7 wires all the way to the dash so that when I was ready to install the brake controller, everything was there. They told me the electrical technician wasn't in that day , but to make an appointment the following week to have the issue corrected. I arranged a new appoint, came in and was then told that I would have to pay over $1100 to have the issue corrected. I asked to talk to the manager, but the manager had the front end person tell me the salesman that sold me the car back in 2018 was at fault and there is nothing they can do now. The manager didn't even have the respect or time to talk to me in person. I recommend staying away from this dealership, they cannot be trusted. More

After waiting numerous months and NOT hearing anything from the sales associate, sales manager(s) continue to wait and was continuously fed xx about when the vehicle was to arrive. Spoke with the General Manager and basically was fed the same xx. After not once hearing from anyone decided to look around, visited Rallye Subaru and dealt with delightful young lady (Riley) we were able to drive away with a New 2024 Crossterk basically within a week. Recommend shopping around prior to dealing with West Edmonton Toyota. More
Subject: Buyer Beware In January 2022, we ordered a RAV4 Prime for the price of $58 314.21 (knowing that there would be a 2-3 year wait). On June 19, 2023, we were informed by our sales person that an RAV4 Prime for the price of $58 314.21 (knowing that there would be a 2-3 year wait). On June 19, 2023, we were informed by our sales person that an identical vehicle, apart from the colour, had become available. When asked what the purchase price would be, we were told that such information cannot be shared over the phone and that we would need to come into the dealership. At said meeting, we were informed that the new price of the vehicle would be $77 459.80. While we appreciate that a price fluctuation was a possibility, a $19 145.59 price increase is exorbitant. After having a meeting with the general manager, we were informed that the price increase was justified as it included, and only included, the following three premium accessories: ceramic coating, undercoating, and 3M film). The general manager clearly stated that “as long as we adhere to MSRP, we can charge whatever we wish for accessories.” Furthermore, after attempting to speak with the President and CEO of Toyota Canada (Larry Hutchinson), his spokesperson sided with the dealer. If you are choosing to place your trust in West Edmonton Mall Toyota, be sure to read all of the fine print – especially the “accessories” line. More

I scheduled an appt to check my power steering on Jan 30/23. I was getting what seemed like louder noise when backing out of garage. I had previously had an oil change and all fluids topped up on Nov.25/22 by this dealership. Before bringing my vehicle in on the 30th, I checked my power steering fluid. The reservoir was nearly empty. I added some fluid and the "start up noise" subsided. Upon arrival at the dealership I told them the fluid was low, I added some and the noise went away and that I had just had the vehicle serviced in Nov., including fluids topped up (inspection report showed all fluids up to proper levels. I was told they would check for a leak. Story short. No leaks detected! Well, my assumption was that the level was never checked, hence why would I pay for confirmation there is no leak. I was charged for the inspection. Spoke to the manager. Every excuse imaginable. The warm weather may have washed away evidence that the oil leaked, I should have heard the noise earlier, etc. Well it now March 11th. Levels are still up, no noise, no leaks, Nothing. My conclusion, they never checked the fluid level just checked the box. I told them it was the last $ they would get from me. Time has proven me right. Don't trust anything service tells you and don't trust their inspection reports.. More
