Alan was awesome!! There's really nothing more that I can say. When I came in I had a very clear picture of what new car I wanted and a budget I need to stay within. Rather than try to upsell me on a more expensive model, he worked with me to make sure I got the car I desperately wanted. Very personable and easy to talk to, I felt comfortable with him the whole time. At the end of the sale, he went over the entire car with me again to make sure I knew how to use the day to day practicalities (how to fold the seats down, how to program the clock, etc.) and he even drove me to the registrar himself! Overall - 5 stars :) More
Upon my arrival into the dealership, I was immediately greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable sales associate. Because I had been referred to Kip I asked for him and she gladly did so. He did everything he could to meet my needs both financially and the type of vehicle I was looking for. He even called another dealership outside of the Province to meet my color preference but in the end I was happy with the floor model. Upon purchase and the delay in reaching my insurance agent, a few days later he delivered the car to my office. At that point he went over all of the features of the car explaining how they worked. Two days later he called me to find out if I was happy with my new car, which I am. Thank you Kip for your friendliness and making me feel comfortable and making my car purchase so much more pleasant. More
I just bought a hyundai Elantra GL 2013 from this dealership and Kip gave a really good deal on that. I got the winter package for free and another $1500 adjustment. My experience previously was good with West Edmonton Hyundai. This time it was just terrible. My goal was to buy a 2014 Santa Fe. Agreed to a price over the phone with a salesperson, then when I came in Hyundai. This time it was just terrible. My goal was to buy a 2014 Santa Fe. Agreed to a price over the phone with a salesperson, then when I came in to pay for the vehicle, I was told: 1.) That because I was paying cash, all of a sudden I will now be paying an additional $1200 2.) The initial color that I had chosen was unavailable, and the next color that I chose will now cost me an additional $198. I left as a result of what I perceive as dealing in bad faith, and upon leaving, asked the sales manager to ensure that I get my $1000 deposit back. Danny Parks assured me that it would happen. 6 days later, I check my credit card statement only to see that my deposit has not been refunded. I call West Edmonton Hyundai and was put through to Nicky from financing, only to be told that I would have to come back to the dealership to get the refund. When I initially paid my deposit, I did it over the phone, and they certainly had no trouble getting money from me, but when it came time for a refund, all of a sudden there are "policies that [Nicky] *won't* break". I find it highly annoying, knowing that these credit card machines are indeed able to issue a refund without physically requiring a card. Please beware, future buyers of Hyundai. I am still awaiting some sort of response from this dealership. **update** not only was the parties involved not looking to inquire more to find out ways to improve customer experiences in the future, they told me they were "not appreciative" of what I wrote for their reviews, citing that they *did* quote me properly for pricing, even though I had not been told that I would pay more had I decided not to utilize any of their financing options. EXCELLENT OVERALL EXPERIENCE. I had not done ANY research, never actually thought about buying a Hyundai, didn't know this model existed. Several of my architect colleagues think it looks great! ('sips' the gas and it dives almost like a sports car- my previous cars were an Alfa Romeo, 2 Toyotas and 3 Volvo 240 Turbos) Decided immediately that this deal exactly met all my needs, and even felt as if among old friends down at the showroom. Almost no pressure, very nominal up-sell...that worked to gain my consumer-confidence...no doubt. I'd been to a few other dealers, but new right away upon meeting Lloyd I wanted to do some business at West Edmonton Hyundai. The rest of the staff seemed almost like a big family; struck me as real and authentic people with my best interest at heart, surprising. Discovered a minor defect after driving away, but that was promptly fixed with no hassle and true old-school courtesy. A bit "light", but seems built (almost) as tight as a Swiss watch. Jen in the service department was like a breath of fresh air. The manager etc., all seemed like decent folks. Fantastic ratings all 'round - want to buy something there (and from Lloyd) again next time. Zero 'buyer's remorse'...full stop. Ps: No, they didn't pay me to write this : ) More
Richard and Brian were a pleasure to work with. Brian was incredibly polite and prompt, he listened carefully to my families needs and then recommended a couple of options for test driving. Richard took me on a test drive and really showed me the safety of the Sante Fe. He took so much time showing me all of the special options and features of the car both during the test drive and after purchase. I love my new car and the purchasing experience was 100% excellent! Brian and Richard are a class act. I have never had such a great experience looking for a vehicle. Thank you West Edmonton Hyundai! More
I brought my new vehicle that I had purchased at West Edmonton Hyundai for its first service at this dealership because as part of the sales deal I was given free oil changes for life. I dropped my car off at 7:30 am on a weekday and they failed to perform an oil change by the end of the day. Instead of calling me as soon as they realized that my service would not be completed by the end of the day, they waited until I was in the shuttle on my way back to the dealership. I could have easily gone for one night without my vehicle since I live close to where I work downtown so this was frustrating to me. They offered to pay for my car rental - including the gas used - and I left my car overnight so it could be serviced the next day. Note that I was not the only one that did not have their service completed - two other customers who had brought their vehicles in for a service that was covered under warranty did not get their vehicles returned by the end of the day. On the 2nd day, I was able to speak to the service manager who is working actively to resolve the issue that I had. He also mentioned that they had a shortage of mechanics the day I brought in for service, which they should have told me if they suspected that my service would not be able to completed. The service centre was very apologetic and want to try and remedy this experience. I will be bringing my car in for service in the future and will post another review at that time. More
