I walked into the store with just the intention of test driving the used Toyota Sienna they had for sale. Ken was the first one to greet me. He was very friendly and extremely excited when I told him I was looking for that vehicle. He immediately knew I wanted a test drive without asking me. Overall experience was great and I would definitely refer a family or friend to him. More

I am just glad that she had the tenacity to find the right dealership and a salesman who could make a difficult situation right. The young salesman, Ken Labine, was very nice and I know he went an extra mile to help us. If he could put up with all my daughters' questions and car stories without rolling his eyes, he is a true professional. I am thankful for all the help we got from him. I do miss having an electric seat, but manually adjusting it will keep me nimble and my left arm now has muscles from cranking myself up and down in what reminds me of my father's barber chair. I will drive this tucson for a while and will definitely go back to West Edmonton Hyundai if and when I need to get another vehicle. In the meantime, I will go skiing until golf season starts. Replace the Spaceship Car Adventure (Part 1) I was on a mission...and the only way to succeed was to be very clear about what I needed to accomplish. I had to receive 'value' in a vehicle in whic I was on a mission...and the only way to succeed was to be very clear about what I needed to accomplish. I had to receive 'value' in a vehicle in which a septuagenarian would be comfortable in, happy to drive and not overwhelmed by new technologies many vehicles have today. The aforementioned septuagenarian had recently been 'convinced' to purchase a 2014 vehicle that was far beyond what was needed and even fell short on what was originally requested as being 'necessary' features (ie...being an AWD or 4x4). The dealership who sold granny the 2014 spaceship would not make the situation right, stating they did not do anything 'illegal' (..in my opinion, what they did, and did not do, was unethical. I believe business has a responsibility to behave in an ethical manner and still maintain a profitable position). So, over the course of 15 days I did due diligence. I visited 9 dealerships in the Edmonton area, spoke with many very knowledgeable sales folks, perused a wide variety of available units and even went back to 3 of the dealerships to further investigate my options. It was my second visit to West Edmonton Hyundai where I chose to engage more openly with the sales rep Ken Labine. I'm pretty sure he had never had a potential client like myself before. I told him I was after a twofer deal...you know...I wanted 2 cars in trade for one. The look Ken gave was very professional while he stated that that was not a very common request. I told him that nothing was impossible. If we all could think outside the box a bit we would be able to give granny 'value' (in the form of a vehicle she could drive), 'emotional value' (relieving her of the stress of a 2014 spaceship that was way beyond her needs), 'Gail' value (I flew out from BC to make this situation right and needed a set of wheels to drive home in) and 'dealer value' (where the deal that is finally made is also of benefit to the dealership). Ken afforded every possible courtesy to help. He understood that granny's are special folk and that little things make a big difference. He asked his boss, on my behalf, if we could take the 'appropriate' vehicle we had chosen for her to her home so she could test drive it in her comfort zone. (she had developed a huge mistrust of car dealerships). This was done. I was thrilled...and granny felt like a princess driving a Tucson. Then we proceeded into the second part of the deal...choose another pre-owned to balance out the trade. Before making a final decision I asked if I could speak with the mechanic who inspected the Pontiac I was considering. His name is Hadi...and he deserves special mention. I have good working knowledge of 'car language' and basic mechanics (yes...bailing wire, nylons and duct tape really are your friends when that's all you have to do a quick fix). Hadi answered every question I had, discussed the importance of checking recall lists and told me not to hesitate to have the BC inspector call him if there were any problems with the inspection (this tells me his work ethics and reputation are important to him). Of the 102 hours I spent on this 'Replace the Spaceship Car Adventure', about 17 were spent at West Edmonton Hyundai in Ken Labine's company. We both learned a lot. As a first time user of a dealership (I've only ever bought and sold a vehicle on the private market before), I learned that dealerships use a 'pass on up' method. The sales rep is the go between to the hierachy at first...then the client is passed on up to the next team members to complete the various phases of the contract. As the client, my job was to stay focused on my true needs. The sales rep..in this case Ken Labine...had a mandate to create the best contract for both the client and dealership. We both excelled in our roles during this deal...I say "Kudos to both of us!" If I am to ever assist another to navigate through the experience of using a car dealership again, I am confident that with sales reps like Ken and his supportive team I will be able to reproduce the positive experience I had. Hopefully I'll be able to do it again one day. Sincerely Gail Kelly Meade More

We went to look at a vehicle, just considering it, as I had pretty much decided on buying something else. However the dealership made us feel at home there. Tye and Aaron did a great job in showing the Santa Fe to it best. We left went to another dealership to test drive the other vehicle, had lunch and discussed which one was a better choice for me. In the end I choice the Santa Fe from West Edmonton Hyundai due not only to the vehicle itself but because of the way that we were treated at the dealership and how at home and comfortable we felt there. Overall Tye, Aaron, and Nikki made this purchase a wonderful and painless experience :) Thanks West Edmonton Hyundai More
