The s I have been purchasing cars for over 30 years and must say that Volkswagen de l’Outaouais is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. The service manager, Stéphane Morin is clueless and has no notion of what after-sales service is—he told me twice that he was overwhelmed and that he could do nothing further for me. I brought in our 2015 Jetta, which we purchased there last year for work covered under warranty and the problem is worse than it was when I brought it in the first time. I ended up going to another VW dealer in the Ottawa-Gatineau area and they did what needed to be done all while offering a great customer experience. I now know that I should have reviewed them before going there. My advice to you is to avoid this place! More

The psychotic finance manager Audrey was extremely rude, condescending and insisted on educating us on how credit applications work like as if we were idiots. How a dealership can employ such ignorant people and stay in business is beyond me. She barely spoke proper English or French and treated us like as if we were not worthy of the vehicles sold in their lot. Thankfully after two days of getting the run around, she informed us that Volkswagen did not approve our credit application and were able to get our $250 deposit back!! Funny, because that same day, we went to the Bytek Volkswagen dealer on St-Laurent Blvd in Ottawa for a second opinion. Not only did they provide excellent no-hassle service, but also gave us a better deal with all the bells and whistles we were looking for - AND there was no hesitation with our finance application. We are picking up our new car in two days - NO PROBLEM! Thank you Bytek! More
Fake friendliness doesn't make up for dishonesty. Very disappointing. BE AWARE Unscheduled maintenance request I received a call from, I suspect a service rep, who suggested that I book a service appointment for my car. My last service was done in Oct, 2015 and I received a call from, I suspect a service rep, who suggested that I book a service appointment for my car. My last service was done in Oct, 2015 and they want another service done 4 months later! He threatened me with the fact that if I don't do the maintenance that they will not honor my warranty. I explained to him that according to my documentation, maintenance intervals are at 1 year or 15k which ever occurs first. He went on to say that the new revised schedule was every eight months. I asked him to send me the documentation on this new schedule and he declined (must be top secret). He finally realized that he couldn't win with me and gave up. P.S. I doubled checked with VW Canada and other dealers and I am correct, the maintenance interval is 1 year or 15K. It sad because my previous experiences with sales and service at this dealer were good. Considering everything that VW is going thru right now, you would expect that they would not go out of their way to try to abuse their customers even more!!!!! More
Worst Experience of my Life I don't even know where to start. This place is an absolute joke. I went to this dealer with the intentions to buy a vehicle from them because they I don't even know where to start. This place is an absolute joke. I went to this dealer with the intentions to buy a vehicle from them because they are so close to home, mistake number 1. The vehicle I wanted was not available at the time, so they ordered it in. About a week later the car showed up, I was sold on window tint, under spray and wax spray. I received a call the following day from vw saying that the car that was delivered was not the correct one, after all this work was done. Oh before I go any further, the sales lady whom I dealt with not once called me by my right name. Something happened during the 2 week delay where I was transferred to another salesperson, who didn't seem to be all that custumer friendly. So my car eventually showed up, the tint and sprays were applied and I was called into "pick up" my car. When I showed up, neither of the 2 sales people I had dealt with were present at the time, pretty terrible service considering I bought a brand new car from them. The meeting was scheduled for 730 pm. When I sat down with the 3rd sales person, the contract was first of all completely wrong, I was being overcharged by over 1000 dollars for reasons they simply could not explain. Oh and the contract was in French after them full well knowing I am English speaking. After an hour and a half of repetedly arguing with the sales women we eventually came to bassically what was a new deal. I was pretty frustrated at this point and may or may not have riseny voice, so of course every employee was standing around mumbling in the background. So the deal is done, it's now time to go into the garage and see my car, or should I say dirty car.. Part of the original deal entailed a set of floor mats. The floor mats were no where to be found. The plate was not on the car. I litterally had to install both the mats and the plate myself because no one was around. At this point I had a headache and just wanted to get out of there. So I did. And never will I be back. And I most certainly will never ever recommend this dealer. Lucky I had to give one star. Lance Orr More
Great car crappy service Here's the deal. The following review was written after sitting almost 2 hours waiting for my car. I was pissed. I'm willing to accept that there was Here's the deal. The following review was written after sitting almost 2 hours waiting for my car. I was pissed. I'm willing to accept that there was a misunderstanding. I've called the service manager for an explanation or in the very least an apology. That was Friday. I'll wait to see if I have some satisfaction. Bought a golf sports wagon in 2010. I love the car but the service is terrible. Almost every time that I have brought the car in they've done something wrong. When I brought it in for its 30k check up they claimed to have checked everything including the wipers, but 5 mins out of the dealer I turned them on and they were broken. Twice I've had to return to have work done that was not done properly the first time. The last time not only did they not do the job but when I brought it in the second time they forgot to put my name on the shuttle list. I was obligated to leave work early to get the car and when I arrived they still hadn't looked at it. This place is a joke. Buy a VW any where but here. More

I have decided from now on that all services for both me and my wife's vehicle will be done in an other dealer across the river, I don't ever want to have nothing to do with this VW de l'Outaouais. I even pleaded my cause to the owner Philippe St-Pierre who is also owner of Mercedes-Benz in Gatineau.....talking on the phone he pretended to understand my cause and re-assured me I would be well taken care of, and that these things happened int this line of business, and he even thanked me for contacting him about this....In the end I was left hanging with the same problem and having still having to deal with the expert Sames manager who was really good at playing hard. read my previous review to find out my story. Be most careful dealing with Sales I'm really disappointed and heart broken, on June 6, 2014 I bought what I expected to be a brand new Tiguan RLine 2014 at Volkswagen de l'Outaouais (5 I'm really disappointed and heart broken, on June 6, 2014 I bought what I expected to be a brand new Tiguan RLine 2014 at Volkswagen de l'Outaouais (50K vehicle). The vehicle had 555km on it but the sales rep told me it was really no big deal, it was test driven a few times, but sadly it was the only one they had on their lot for this particular model and color. The good news was they credited a amount of about 600$ for the mileage, and at the same time I noticed it had a very small dent on the driver door which they fixed on the spot, and also the front bumper had a minor scratch which they told me these things happen on the car lot, anyhow the Sales manager said he would get it changed with an other front plastic cover from an other same color Comfortline Tiguan they had prior to delivery in which I agreed to. They even escorted me in the garage to show me the door dent fixed which was amazing, but in the mean time I wanted see more around the vehicle in case there was more dents, but the sales manager reassured me that I should not worry because VW Outaouais fully inspects their new vehicles before they handed them out to the clients on delivery day. So in my mind I had nothing more to worry about, this baby was brand new besides the 555km. Today I realized I should have known better and be more cautious all the way, but really never in a million years would have expected this, I found other damages within the interior of the car (Tiguan). One week after taking it home, on a Saturday afternoon I decide to do an inside cleaning job with a clean rag and water, while doing the inside plastic door covers I notice major scratches at the bottom, also on the bottom door casing, there is a silver Rline plate both are well scratched and passenger side even has a groove in it, and a small pointy dent in the casing frame, also the middle console, on the side passenger side, big scuff. If I would have known to look deeper and wonder what happened?? 555KM with all this?? If I would have know that this could happen when buying a new car, I would have inspected every inch....but who does that when your buying new and they supposedly prepare it and make an inspections??? Sales Manager told me that I had nothing to worry about and that the Tiguan would be fully inspected for any problems. What's most disappointing is after noticing this, I drove right away to VW de l'Outaouais to show this to the salesman and the sales manager who told me more than once during the negotiation process (if there's any problem, please come see me directly, I want to make sure your a very happy customer). Well first thing he said when he saw me waiting for him with the Tiguan parked right in the front of his office window was "Are you coming to see me for any damages?", "I said well yes, come see this". In an instance his response was that there was nothing he could do, it was to late, seems that I had signed of the papers at delivery before they gave me a tour of the vehicle on delivery day, and that I should have come back withing the next 24 hours. Now honestly I understand that I got played and that they should have told me about the scratches since they fully inspect their vehicles before handing out. They wanted to get rid of a used vehicle that had a rough first 555km on it and that some employee of the dealer who probably used and dragged his kids and stuff around who ended up damaging it. He even offered to fix it at the dealers cost prices. I said no, i'm not going to pay for something I haven't done and already paid for. He also told me that I took a chance by buying a used car even tho they were selling it as a new one, that if he would have been in my place he wouldn't have bought it. In all of this I take 50% of the blame for trusting them and not checking the new merchandise further, but you would think that they do it like they say, that's its their responsibly to make sure all new and used vehicles are inspected and that they know their stuff and inform the clients of everything....absolutely no surprises. I'm never doing business with them again and I feel I had to share this with you. Please be careful buying a car, mileage or no millage, make sure you inspect and test everything, cause you cant rely on their word since they are to busy trying to sell. More
