From a 5 star experience to a 1 (0 if it was possible) I had committed to a non refundable down payment of $2,500 on May 30th, 2016 for a 2016 Honda Civic Coupe Touring edition. I also promised another $7,500 at the time of vehicle pick up (so $10,000 total). I was under the impression that they had one in their inventory, but then I was told that the car was being shipped in from Manitoba? (I think), and that it would arrive by the end of that week which was June 3rd. I wasn't promised anything, but I was told that the car was already "in transit" in their system and according to them: "it would be very surprising if the vehicle did not come in that week". I received a call from them at the end of the week notifying me that the vehicle was still in transit because of a miscommunication which meant that there was going to be more of a delay with the Civic (date range was now June 6th-10). I didn't mind waiting the extra week since I was off work and wasn't in need of a personal vehicle. The following week rolls by with no calls or notifications about the car so I bombarded John with texts asking for any updates. To my surprise, I was AGAIN told that there was going to be more of a delay with the car, and that it should be in between June 9th - 15th. I was beyond frustrated at this point, but didn't want to back out of the deal because of the non refundable deposit.I had anticipated having my vehicle by now and because of all the delays, I was forced to take transit to work the following week. June 15th rolls around, and was told that the vehicle was in Calgary, but only at the rail yard. I was then told the car should be ready by the end of that week. Not surprisingly, that was not the case since the delivery trucks from the rail yard was not scheduled to Village Honda that week. John had relayed my frustration to the manager, who then called them to have the vehicle shipped in on short notice. I appreciated the gesture but at this point, I was already beyond frustrated that nothing was done during the 3 weeks I had to wait. I'm not sure how auto dealership works but maybe they could've offered me a rental car for that week so that I didn't have to take transit? Or maybe work with another dealership to see if they had any in their inventory? I had asked for more compensation and the best the could do was give me a couple of Honda Merch (I ended up getting a hat, a coffee mug that was dirty and had scuff marks all over it, and a computer mouse). I also consistently checked other Honda Dealerships during the 3 weeks to see if they had the Civic Coupe Touring in their inventory, and they always did. Some even with the colour I originally wanted which was blue.I understand that the whole ordeal was out of their hands (I was given a thorough explanation as to why the delivery was delayed), but I wish they had done something more for me during the 3 weeks I had to wait. Fast forward on the day of the vehicle pick up which was June 18th. I was rushed through all the paper work and was not given a thorough explanation as to what I was signing and why with regards to the bill of sale and other misc. documents. At this point, all I wanted to was get out of there ASAP with my new vehicle. I looked over the documents a few days later and noticed that they added "optional life and disability" insurance to the final bill. I was NEVER asked if this is what I wanted and instead they just tacked it on without my knowledge, and because I wanted nothing more than to sign everything asap and get out of that place with my new car, I unknowingly signed for the optional insurance as well. Luckily, the third party insurance company had a 20 day free look policy which allowed me to back out of the policy even after I had signed it. I called the dealership to find out how I can do that. The financial adviser gave me some BS excuse as to how this will raise my monthly payments, and interest rates etc... and that they will do what they can to remove the optional insurance from final B.O.S. I kept asking for updates throughout the week and was told they are still looking into it. Since I only had 10 days remaining, I went ahead and called the third party insurance company myself. I was informed that all I had to do was sign a cancellation form within the 20 days and send it back to the insurance company, who will then issue a full refund to the financial institution (which was RBC). I called RBC and they confirmed the same and that at this point, it has nothing to do with the dealership... Despite my horrible experience, John Lussier was the only reason why I decided to go with dealership. Great service till the very end despite me harassing him day after day. Had I known that I would have to wait 3 weeks for the car, and have these "optional" insurance tacked on my final bill without my knowledge, I would have gone with another dealership. More

I have always received excellent customer service from not only the sales people but also parts/services, finance and front desk people. I started my first lease in 2005 and continued leasing until just recently: June of 2016. Each time I have leased, it was always a Honda Civic. My last lease was a 2013 Honda Civic Touring which I had no issues with and only traded it in because I wanted to move on from leasing and purchase something. Of course I went with the 2016 civic EX. I have always chosen the Civic because they are such reliable, beautiful and affordable cars .My most recent Village Honda experience was super easy and pleasant all because of Kent Bamber. He worked with me and my budget to find me my sweet ride! Not only did he help me but also a friend of mine Steve who also ended up purchasing a Civic. What stood out about Kent to me was that he didn't make me feel pressured at all and was willing to listen to me and worked with my budget. He was honest and informative and easy to talk to. Thanks Kent, I really appreciate it! Also another nice touch is that Village Honda sends flowers to their customers to say thank you for your business. More

Keith is knowledgeable (as a representative should be), honest, and hard working. But most of all, Keith treats you as if he is dealing with a friend rather than a customer. No questions big or small are ever a bother to Keith, no requests big or small are ever ignored. I wouldn't deal with anyone else. More
