Every time I go to Village Honda they always explain to me what needs to be done and what my options are. Once agreed above, the price has always been accurate. When I decided to buy a used Honda this month, I contacted every dealership in the Calgary area, described the vehicle I was looking for, and asked for their best price on the most similar vehicle t contacted every dealership in the Calgary area, described the vehicle I was looking for, and asked for their best price on the most similar vehicle they had on their lot. Don Waagenaar at Village Honda was by far the least helpful salesperson I dealt with. He began by wasting my time and his in an exchange of emails that included: asking me for information I had already provided, asking me for information that was irrelevant at that stage of negotiation (who talks about extended warranties BEFORE settling on a car?), and listing 3 vehicles without including the details I'd asked for in my first email. When I expressed interest in the vehicles listed, rather than providing the information I'd requested directly, he sent me links to the dealership's website... for a different list of vehicles than the ones he described in his email. Naturally I had already visited the dealership's website, otherwise where would I have gotten his email address? I finally got complete details - on only one of the three vehicles I'd orginally expressed an interest in - almost 30 hours after my first contact with him. Every other dealership I contacted responded with complete information within 6 hours. One responded within 2 hours! As if this wasn't enough, he also got my name wrong in one of the emails, and added me to his dealership's mailing list. I got an obvious spam from him less than 3 hours after he provided me with the above-mentioned complete vehicle details. (One point in his favour - he did immediately have me removed from the mailing list after I pointed out the "error.") Finally, a personal opinion - I find his email style extremely unprofessional. Almost every email was full of pre-written ad copy like "Your interest in the Honda Civic Sedan is one choice that will prove to be very well founded. This vehicle has won numerous awards including the IIHS Top Safety Pick!", hyperbolic statements like "aggressive price quote" and "WILL NOT LOSE OUT TO OTHER DEALERS ON PRICE," and eye-searing sections of text in all-caps, yellow highlighting, bright red lettering, and/or huge and unusual fonts. Reading his emails was like going to Bargain Harold's. Needless to say I did not buy a car from Village Honda. More
Stay away, especially when it comes to buying used cars there - and service on something that might not show up on the computer. The sales person sold me on extra 3 year - 100,000km on top of current milea there - and service on something that might not show up on the computer. The sales person sold me on extra 3 year - 100,000km on top of current mileage extended warranty on a vehicle that had roughly 80,000kms on it. I asked several different ways if the 100K kms come on top of the current mileage. Always got the yes, of course answer. Well, I am now being told the warranty expires at 100K. So I shed over $2,000 for just about 20K kms. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. Of course they will not honor what I was told, they make pretty xxxx sure you don't get it in writing - and I was stupid to not ask (first time buyer). I took the car for a service twice....something that is technically covered by the warranty. They returned the car without the repair being done. Did not even get a straight answer on whether they actually checked what I asked them to check (the second time I was 99% sure about what the issue was). I's something that will not show up on a computer...so they did not figure it out (even though the answer was server on a silver platter). And since they couldn't figure it out, they could not repair it. I guess "please check this specific part" was not taken into account. Of course, I am a female, so how dare I telling them what to check out, right? Guess what, when I was making another appointment, they re-assured me this time my problem would be solved for sure. Yeah. This time it would be out of my pocket, as it turned out....because they cannot fit me in for the next almost 2 weeks, and of course at that time I will be above 100,000kms. I am trying to take it all the way to the management, but I really don't believe this will get resolved to my liking. The girl booking the appt said she passed my info onto the service manager, almost two weeks later I have not heard back even though I actually contacted the guy myself as well. So Village Honda lost yet another customer. More

We are now going to another dealership for servicing. I would not recommend this dealership as their follow up and customers ervice is the worst I have ever experienced. More
Bought a used car and after lengthy haggling and not very accommodating service that made me have to walk to and from work for a week before being able to pick it up ( including at 4 am Christmas Eve) becaus accommodating service that made me have to walk to and from work for a week before being able to pick it up ( including at 4 am Christmas Eve) because it wasn't convenient for them any other time for us to pick up the car. Promised to include a model manual that I noticed was missing before I bought it. Then told me that I had to pay an extra $375 to replace it when we picked it up. Drove off the lot and the front window protector guard flew off. Went round the block and pointed it out. They said $275 not including labour to fix it! More
